I don't think he'd do the task at all. He would just torture Alex in various ways for as long as he could convince someone was "normal"...then some. Then he'd be shocked he didn't complete the task.
The first time I saw this task I was so confused with the bonus point for getting Alex the least wet. Until I saw Chris and Ardal do the task it had not even crossed my mind to fill up the bucket with water.
If I was lucky enough to try this task I would’ve tried to lasso Alex (with rope and wooden spoons obviously) and drag him off the stage, then stuff the duck in his mouth.
Honestly I would have asked him to stand up and walk closer to the edge of the deck. He seems to be tied to the chair but only around his middle he could have stood up with the chair still attached.
That would have been my first suggestion, to try and get Alex off the stage, but mine would have been slightly more sadistic - I would have probably tried to push him over with the pipe first, then attempted to lasso if that didn't work.
i mean if you disregard the potential for actual harm with that method then ye. someone falling over while tied to a chair can be very unkind to stuff like wrists or any limbs caught underneath (like actual breaking the bone)

They should do a task where the rules state that the rules are secret and if they're broken they are forfeited. Would be interesting to see their assumptions and how they complete a task as they guess what the rules are, or how easily it could have been by avoiding something they thought was a rule but wasn't.

Clearly John Kearns never watched previous series of Taskmaster since he thinks that there is only one size of duck. Alex clearly mentions a below average sized duck.
I would've just taken the bucket with the grab hand and the take the duck out and apply it on the grab hand then lean over for him to bite it, no one gets wet.
Most of them could have just got away using the claw. The reason it did not work for 3rd lady is she did not have the flexibility to lean forward. As I am top heavy I would have fallen on my face for sure.

He came in last in the Learn Swedish task and the long hat & shoes one because he somehow didn't understand it, but yeah pretty rare occasion given he is probably the most overpowered non-winner the show has had (the guess the name of this man live task was arguably the ultimate decider due to being a winner-takes-all task)

Love the task, but I really don’t get this editing technique of copying the funniest bit in front. It just takes away from the humour in the context of the video. It’s probably some “proven” way to keep viewer engagement, but to me it’s just annoying and the only thing that makes me consider not watching it.
