They are the little brothers of Blackpink, Ikon, Winner and Bigbang (under YG Entertainment). That is the reason why you think there is a resemblance with their sisters, Blackpink. They did a lot of YG references in the music and the music video itself (like how Yoshi and Lisa have the same rap line in How You Like That). There are 12 members. Treasure is a big group tbh the first-ever YG group to have more than 5-7 members, the original plan of YG was to form a group of 7 members through a survival series called YG TREASURE BOX you guys should react to it...But then at the last episode, there were 13 finalists and they all performed a song in one stage which made YG(the founder of YG) amazed to see that even though there were 13 people performing one song he didn't feel any boring he felt like it was amazing, so he kinda had some change of mind but still after the end of the survival show as originally planned YG announced a group called TREASURE with 7 members and then unexpectedly they announce another unit group called MAGNUM with 6 members(the remaining finalists, except for 2 members who already left the company after the end of the show before the second called up of the debut were replaced by another 2 members)...They all together were known as the TREASURE 13.... they actually were to debut in 2019 but was delayed due to some problems in YGE like false allegations and cases started by the Korean media and some YG haters against YG which then leads to YG himself stepping down from his position (he is still the owner and has the controlled over the company but he's not the head anymore)... During those periods of waiting for the official debut one member from MAGNUM left the group bcoz he thought the direction of music the group is going towards is different from what he liked, he actually joined YG bcoz YG is known for its swag and hip-hop in kpop.. after he left the group YG decided to combined the two groups and just debuted them as one group called TREASURE... they have 12 members now with the oldest member age is 22 and the youngest is 16 ... They debuted in 7th August 2020

Treasure is a 12 member boygroup (composed of 8 Koreans and 4 Japanese members) from YGE that debuted in August 2020. They were formed through the survival show YG Treasure Box and were supposed to debut as a 13 member group in 2019 but was postponed due to massive company scandals during that time. By December of 2020, one of the supposed member terminated his contract with YG due to having a differenct musical path that he wanted to pursue with what the company wanted for the group. They have released 3 single albums (2 songs each) back to back from August to November 2020 and their first full album in January 2021. After a more than a year of hiatus in music (bc they were active in other ways like webdrama, variety show, etc), they are back with their first mini album The Second Step: Chapter 1. Can u imagine, YG executive producers who cut 9 best girl of 'A' trainee to end up as 4 best member of Blackpink, can't cut 12 member of Treasure.

They even called ugly duckling because they dont follow kpop visual standart. But they can grab public attention with their music quality and their charisma or stage presence on stage. That charisma and level of cool and swag become standart to become YG artist and rundown to YG younger generation like Blackpink and Treasure. The impact Bigbang make in Kpop industry is really huge and makes other agency follow their step and inspire most of other group to have a rapper...
