What I noticed very positively are the very friendly and professionally acting receptionists. That was sometimes different in your earlier videos. These older hotels in Jomtien are reasonably priced, but I wouldn't call them bargains.
agreed. Jomtien is not Central Pattaya on many levels. for some people, Jomtien is DA BOMB
Reception staff all seemed very nice, always makes a huge difference to have staff who smile and are genuinely helpful 👍
I wonder Daz if the last hotel with the mouse at the counter offers "Disney" discounts?🐭😂😂
Thanks Daz for help to have fair priced hotels, but flight tickets are still DOUBLE THE PRICE than precovid, although oil is only 75$ a barrel and peak season in Thailand is over !!!
I stayed at the Katalina in 2018 and 19. Its a very spacious room but walls are paper thin and the whole place is run down. They dont seem to have done any up keep since then. The price in high season was 17000 in 2019. So i dont think its worth it anymore...
And you almost bumped in to the owner 1:48 who is a really nice guy who you can have coffee with.

Good to see hotel,options in Jomty here. The 12 seemed the nicer hotel on the beach front out of the 3 here. The Katalina been past many a times nice big rooms but way too expensive & far too noisy location on 2nd rd & soi 7. If your on long stay then a condo in Jomtien is far better value n plenty to choose from.
When you did condos last year in pattaya and jomtien, the prices much cheaper ie 8000 to 15000. Month.

Hello Daz i have always enjoyed visiting jomtien and mostly stay in soi lengkee area but i would like a change of scenery and hotels look good value there and of course the baht bus is available for city centre. Thank you for your efforts.
Daz, they will open a new "small walking street" on Jomtien in a few weeks. About 100-200 meters south of the Copacabana condo.

no real bargains there Daz especially for Jomtien,prices ok for daily rates but monthly prices are way off for those rooms particularly the last one.

Very good the first condos hotel, big size rooms, with big balcony too, decent swimming pool...the only problem is price. I think a bit expensive even if is 24.000 in low season with electric incluid. Second building , lady looks great , Sea view room with all that traffic day and night, I dont think will enjoy. Preferred no sea view room, and even 200 baht cheaper. Interesting Jomtien. A2SEA hotel , the third one, have good monthly price and I like that balcony to take coffee early morning. hehe...."I should tell my friend".... Thanks for the video.😄

You really don't need to spend a lot of money to stay somewhere comfortable in Jomtien...In fact being away from the hustle and bustle of Pattaya City has it's real plus sides.

Of all the budget/moderate long stay apt condos you have presented. Lets say 9000 + or - range. Which place would you pick the most for you or a good friend?. (Value location any view and riff raff) One that stuck in your mind.

Jomtien Beach Penthouses Hollywood Daz this place has got it all great reviews and a manager who replies straight away if u need help with the Hotel.I think u should do a clip on that Hotel leaves the rest for dead.

I really like the Katalina room size 50Sqm & compared to the 12 rooms @32Sqm & The Katalina is on Avg about 1/3 less on price for a 50% larger place
Can you recommend an app or website that I could use to search for rental properties in Thailand?
These places have to be seen in person, I was helping a friend find a decent place around this area for a reasonable price and it wasn’t easy. We must of been in about 20 different hotels! I find condos are usually much better, especially the older ones, but that’s my personal choice!
yup, you should always do a condo deal, you can also look on airbnb for some. I find it a lot better, the girls are no issue in a condo and its like an appartement with great amenities :)
Katalina looks a great place to stay but the 27,000 is way ott even if electricity is included.
The Twelve I’ve passed many times and like the look of it especially being so close to the beach. One thing to bear in mind if you book a sea view room is that the large area of beach to the right as you look out the window is frequented by hundreds of young Thais every night/ morning after bars close with music banging out. Whether you can hear it from there I’m not sure, but it is close.
Oh and it’s far more than 200m up from Soi 7 to Soi 12. In region of 2Km.
Where do you think you could find better value ?
50 mtr large hotel room with separate bedroom like a suite near the beach and the action and markets for 900 b. per night in High Seadon
@@CheekyMonkey007 I think the nightly rate is ok to be honest. I was referring to the monthly rate which is hardly discounted. Should be around 20,000 max imo

I've booked a studio view talay 8 jomtien for a month in August. It's costing 20000b. Plus lecy and water. For cleaning and linen it costs 500b per time. Is that normal and a reasonable price

Hi, I've been looking for the Katalina online ie Agoda and can't find it..I'm looking to come over nx Christmas and new year. Do you think it's too early to expect condos to take bookings that far in advance.?

So if there are no utilities to pay I'm guessing that the deposit is basically a key deposit and, you get that back when you check out, pay your bill and return the key.. is that right? Katalina is a good find.. the property and the room looks well maintained. Thanks EP.
Deposits are also for damages and missing items. Yes deposits are returned when you check out like every other hotel on the planet.
Decent video. It would be worth knowing the cost of room cleaning. If staying 1 month
Jomtien Beach Residence's soi 9 Hollywood this place has the best reviews so lets get going and do a clip on it next to the Kiwi bar come on move on it.

Prices are up from last time I was in TH in April/May 22.
IMO they're up too much but if they're getting high occupancy then they an do that.
ha ha 200 extra baht to look at palm trees ?? better to take the rear rooms for 1100 baht
For the first one... I know where that is, and it is an ideal location for Jomtien. The only thing for me would be the main road there (Jomtien second). It depends how it affects the sleeping area. But it is very good value if it doesn't disturb the sleeping, and it would be my favourite as it has a nice pool. All good value though. Such a shame flight prices have got so high, because apart from that... even apart from the nightlife it would be a no brainer for a longer holiday. That said I checked last night and for April departures return flights are £750 or so.... so a month before teh wet season probably cheaper than Europe .... excluding your choice of night life and company etc.....

I am just wondering what was the point of showing Katalina Residence ? I tried to book it for month of April and is fully booked. So we have the price list but it's not available. Pointless !

I stayed at the A2Sea hotel several years ago. I was not impressed at all. Poor location, terrible (included) breakfast. Not worth anything near 800 ThB. Not worth 400.

The 1st hotel was horrible....the bedroom would be dark all day as you can't open the curtains as the 'window' looks out into the hallway!!!! What a terrible design....
What is not publicized is the gay beach there. Gay men have known about this forever.

Why are you guys , looking at apartments , always looking at gyms and pools ? Both , without many exceptions , are without anybody inside working out or swimming .
The target audience for these vlogs seem to be retirees . LOL ! Something wrong here , maybe anew style of architecture is needed .
