Over a decade later and this album is one of the most slept on masterpieces in the entire metal genre. Threat Signal in general was criminally underrated and deserved more notoriety and recognition. They were sorta underground. I forget how I stumbled onto them, I think someone told me about them at a bar one time and I had never heard of them. They deserved to blow up alongside the likes of As I Lay Dying, August Burns Red, or the other metalcore headlining titans of that era, off the back of this album alone. I mean that's how good this album was, every song was a banger. Perfect mix of groove and some of the best melodic guitar work out there. Forget the name of the original guitarist that Travis replaced, but he was incredibly talented.
Great stuff! Obviously well played but it's great to see a proper play through from the actual band member. Man I love this song!! Threat Signal's first album was a game changer for me and still is one of my all time favorites. I'd love to see you guys do something with Travis again or hope to hear something like this off a later album.
this album had the most epics and loved riffs and short solos... the outro of TO REMEMBER is definitely something i will remember and cherish till i die..thank you for blessing us with such amazing music travis
Thank you for this Travis. I have been doing the TS site for a few years and I always find my way back to this song. And as I have recently started to play guitar, I wanted to see how you played this!
wow that's cool to hear. I know Travis, just from having mutual friends. He's a really humble and kind person, very good person to know. I've spent hours sitting in his room watching him record. Mesmerizing and inspiring
Kickass song just came across you guys recently love everything so far. I’m obsessed with your sound. Learning this one first before I try to tackle my favorites off the new album.
I never expected to get a response, lol! I saw you guys at The Intersection in Grand Rapids, Michigan a while back and you were awesome! I felt like a VIP or something cause not many people seemed to know the words and John kept comin back to my wife and I cause we were screaming the words the whole time! You guys put on a great show and I love your music!
I can't find a good playback tab for this. And I'm too cheap to pay for software rn. These guys are seriously so underrated Its nuts. Some of the riffs are hard to get the groove of without without slowing them down/to much for me to get wit the tabs alone. I wanna play this through so badly.
2:58 - 3:23 definitely one of my all time favorite riffs! :D
Loved this album the most.
One lonely upvote... Most people agree the self titled one was their claim to fame for good reason.
I agree 100% vigilance is there best album by far. One of the only cd's I can listen from beginning to end.

One of my favourite songs to listen to even now.

Do a play through of disposition. Please?
Melodic supreme
Awesome! Do you guys still talk to Kyle much? I'd love to see a Threat Signal Intandem team up!
Yeah, I talk to Kyle every now and then. That's definitely a possibility at some point!

Aww man, this song is one of the best in the genre. Glad to see a playthrough, I´ll try to nail it. What's the tuning?

I'm pretty sure that tabs that are available online are the ones that we created while writing the album.
@@travismontgomery thanks for the reply. Awesome to hear from someone from the band. Been jamming you guys' stuff. Its fucking awesome.
That beginning riffage looks like a nightmare
Nice playing and nice guitar. I really should get a decent 6 string....
Hi Trevis.
Great job! Did you use the Axe FX II?
Congrets for the sound, very god!
What effect do you use for the chorus in the song? Is it a delay? This was the first (drop tuned) song I almost got entirely by ear.*
It's a normal lead tone with delay that's also layered with a synth sound. Same thing we did for the intro to A New Beginning.
could you send me tabs of the riff on 1;27..?
Hey mAn. what strings do you use ? is it 0.11 ?
🖤🖤🖤🔥🔥🔥🔥🤘🤘🤘🤘😎
This guitar really does the Crunchlab justice. It sounds like shit in my Ibanez, lol.
Travis Montgomery my observer from all the metal bands I like him the most...
nice guitar 2
Awesome job, what gauge strings are you using? 'Cause they look like their kinda loose.
I use the Ernie Ball .010 - .052 "Skinny Top Heavy Bottom" set for Drop C.
Travis Montgomery I remember seeing that set in your guitar case, and ever since then I've wondered what you use for your 7 in Bb!
Hakan E I use the the regular .010 gauge Ernie Ball set. The one in the green packaging. I think it's .010 - .056
Travis Montgomery Pretty light for my taste! I'll have to try it and see how I adjust.
Do painkiller from Judas Priest.
what tuning?
Gilbert Pagpaguitan Drop C
Do Inane! Haha
