I had not had any Maker’s Mark in about 10 years. I found BEP and loved it. I now have 3 bottles of it. Found the new Maker’s 46 Cask Strength at a Costco and really liked it, so I went back and picked up another bottle. Would love to find a Cellar Aged at a reasonable price. 🥃
Cellar age ain't ever gonna be reasonably priced, even it's msrp is expensive for a 750ml bottle. But...worth the money. Even some secondary prices, worth it.
Great content as usual. I bought 2 bottles of this when it first came out, but don’t revisit it all the time. It’s tasty, but it leaves a dry and weird coating in my mouth. I will say that I’m sitting here waiting patiently for your review of EC C923 🤣hopefully that one comes soon. I am a big fan of it and hope you both are too
I’ve got this bottle right after release. First day I did not enjoy it. It grows on you. I compare it to EC BP A123 not fun at first but give it time. You guys are hilarious 😂
This is one that everytime you drink, you get different notes from it. Sometimes I love it, sometimes I think it’s meh. Very interesting for sure. Ready for Virtue Spirits hats to be released btw. Keep it up guys!
I agree with Sean I feel like this is more of a B+ to A- range. I think this one was really good and different for Marker's plus the fact it is very findable bumps it up for me as well. With that said MMCA crushes this bottle....ALSO PEOPLE DONT FORGET TO HIT THAT LIKE, SUBSCRIBE AND NOTIFICATIONS BUTTON❤❤❤.
I bought one of these ($69) and it turned out to be the first Maker’s Mark I ever liked. Usually get a bit too much burn or alcohol taste out of them, but the BEP is quite enjoyable. Had to roll my eyes a bit at the ambiguity of the label’s tasting notes, though; you could probably use those notes to describe any bourbon, lol.
It’s a great bottle. I usually pass on any of their finished stuff. I think MM are coming around and getting seriously back into the game. Now they just need to make their bottles look better
Apparently there are two different batches. The 110.7 proof batch is considered significantly better than the one yall reviewed from what I hear. Would love for yall to give an update if you can taste the other.
Just found out recently that BEP was released in 2 batches: 109 and 110 proof. Allegedly, 110 is significantly better, but was not featured in this review. Time for the junkies to right the wrong
Whats weird is in this video you said Cellar Aged will likely be whiskey of the year. Your 13th Colony video is after the Cellar Aged video and in the 13th video you exclaimed it WILL BE whiskey of the year and almost best thing you ever had. Its almost like you completely forgot about the 13th colony bottle all together lol.
This sounds like Dan's lack of fondness for the brand coming into play. He came into this with his mind already made up and was ready to slap it down. He liked it more than he expected to, but, couldn't admit he was wrong enough to give it a better grade. I have it. I have thoroughly enjoyed it, and I am not a big fan of Maker's. Sean got this one right. Not your normal bourbon. Solid all the way around. A great addition to your whiskey collection. B+/A-
If Makers cellar aged wins Whiskey of the year we can all kiss grabbing a bottle at a remotely decent price. Goodbye. Also didn’t help that Minnick had a big O after he sipped it.
This one was pretty disappointing to me. For me it barely has anything on the nose, and then the palate is just a generic makers profile. Like I literally smell nothing on this one. I let it open up for a few weeks and got the same experience.
Put it in a blind and Dan will love it!! 😂

Has anyone done a direct comparison of the 110.7 vs. 109.6 proof? I've heard the 110.7 is much better than the 109.

I'm not a Maker's fan and I really like this.
I just polished my bottle off last week. The first few pours came off like fruit punch & pixie sticks. It really turned out to be a great bottle.
There are two batches, 110.7 and the one you reviewed. I have both, currently the open one is the 110.7
I'm sipping it now, it's a damn fine bottle!

Love these bourbons. Wish they were easier to find. All prior versions I've tasted were solid "A" for me.

That’s how I feel about pretty much all of the wood finishing limiteds. Usually I love them though so no real complaints.

I have had this for a few months now and I really like this one. But I will say FAE01 is my favorite from the series.

I went and looked at my bottle because I was certain it was over 110 proof. Makes way more sense now.

it is off profile to me especially compared to RC6 and FAE
B- for me even after being open for 5 months. Will not be buying again. Makers Mark keeps disappointing me.!
