I've heard Metallica play less accurate (to the album at least) versions of this song. I was a 100% expecting something mediocre at best, but these guys nailed it. Awesome job, my friends🤘👍
This is beyond better than any rendition I’ve heard Metallica do of this song. Even the tone and quality has more balls than Metallica current live set up imo. Maybe if Metallica was smart and played it back in the day they could have pulled something off like this if not better
Bassist went from being the hanger-on on kid with the tambourine, to a pickstyle vanilla bassist to a fingerpick knock it out of the ballpark playing like cliff on orion including the bass solo part... in a matter of a couple years. Props kid, youve got a real future in music, same with the rest of your bandmates, but you have seen by far the most steep development in the last couple of years. Im legit proud of you.
I tried mastering Cliff's bass solo on this song many times as a kid (30+ years ago) and never could nail it. This kid here is freaking spot on! Well done young man, and well done to the entire band. You men give me hope on what the future generations can accomplish once we move on to the afterlife.

I live in an area very not friendly to metal, so it was not just a struggle being allowed to practice - it was a struggle to find bandmates. Just not enough people in my town loved Slayer as much as me! Keep on doing your thing guys!

Nah man, electric are the way to go, for a couple main reasons why i swapped my real kit for electric, #1 practicing any metal songs, double bass etc, can drive the neighbours bonkers, and also, you can play with a house full of people, and if you dont want them to hear, on go the headphones 😎😎😎

I briefly dated a gal named Steff back in 1988 or so. We used to listen to Puppets all the time when out for a drive in my van and I would listen to it constantly after she moved to another province. Before then in 87 or so, I would listen to this album with my cousin(Rest in peace, Dave) every time we hung out or partied. This song is attached to many great memories. Joseph Rios i used my guitar amp, (only a cheap one) and it didnt sound great, so i use it in my t.v hifi setup, which sounds heaps better.

Normally the right hand plays the high hat cymbal and the left plays snare drum. Not saying he’s doing it wrong. The great thing about playing an instrument is you can do it however you want

I briefly dated a gal named Steff back in 1988 or so. We used to listen to Puppets all the time when out for a drive in my van and I would listen to it constantly after she moved to another province. Before then in 87 or so, I would listen to this album with my cousin(Rest in peace, Dave) every time we hung out or partied. This song is attached to many great memories. It literally seems like only last week that I was obsessed with this album. Great job, guys.
