I remember this being sung by the church organist, Stewart Thorpe when I was a youngster. He was born in the mid 1860s and lived to be 101 years old. He had an abiding love of English folksong and music, along with Sussex dialect stories and, though I didn't realise it at the time, he lit a flame in me that still burns ....lovely to hear this again, thank you !
@@EatBakeSing ...another thing he said would mean something to me one day... he recounted stories of his grandfather living with his family when he was a lad, and he was born in the 1790s ..... I really wish now I'd paid more attention, for all I remember is that he was a farm worker
A pretty English lass singing in the beautiful English countryside..the stuff that dreams are made of. You REALLY DO make a difference in this world...know that sweetheart ❤
This would have been nice to have hapenned upon three fields away. Perhaps first doing a 360 Wondering if I really could hear a woman trying to out-perfom the birds? No sooner had I pinned her location... she was gone. Not the only bright glowing thing that would vanish below the hill that day. 🌞
