Check out the recent 'Sessions' that have appeared here on YT. User recorded but they show the improv freedom of this band. To my ears, it is straight from the legacy. Modern and new but with more than a nod to Edgar. Here is the one with Steve Roach from Sept '23. th-cam.com/video/5Nl992YS5MQ/w-d-xo.html&pp=ygUYdGFuZ2VyaW5lIGRyZWFtIHNlc3Npb25z Keswick Theatre PA Sept '23 th-cam.com/video/KWSaVKMYHsg/w-d-xo.html&pp=ygUYdGFuZ2VyaW5lIGRyZWFtIHNlc3Npb25z Leipzig Oct 10/23 th-cam.com/video/yjgqhGNJAXo/w-d-xo.html
No it's not. Cover bands, by definition, don't do original music. This lineup of Tangerine Dream does, and therefore, again by definition, is not a cover band. This is exactly what Edgar intended, by the way. He wanted TD to go on without him. Thorsten made TD awesome again. They were rubbish from about 1986 until Thorsten joined.
I had a chat with her after the concert in Brussels (4 June) and I quickly realized she knows very little English or German. I only have an extremely limited grasp of Japanese, so it was a decidely interesting exchange. I'm pretty sure she understood what I was saying, mind. Hoshiko is beautiful, incredibly charming, and one hell of a violin player. It must be difficult to do battle with those throbbing sequencers every night.
I'd turn that question right around on you. Why do air headed extroverts always think there's something wrong with people who don't yap as vapidly as much as they do? Does your brain stop working if you mouth's not incessantly moving? Go away, and have a long think about the utter stupidity and ignorance of what you said.
Hey Jacek, wiedzialem, ze Cie tu znajde. Please wytlumacz mi. Ja pamietam, ze Edgar mial syna Jarome Froese i ze syn dalej ciagnal TD a tu jakis inny gosc jest liderem. Czego ja nie wiem??
@@rrki witaj.
I have followed Tangerine Dream for ages, I’m trying to slowly work my way through all their albums. I have about 600 hours of their music but know there’s more to come. The magic is each piece is something special yet familiar. Edgar was a clever man and with Thorsten carrying on the journey we all can enjoy their magic.
I'm a big fan of old TD but I really like how these guys talk and continue the legacy...
It's not that they aren't doing good music, but sorry, Tangerine Dream died with Edgar. This is a cover band.

She only talk in Body Language
this line up rocks... seen TD live for 41 years... this last tour was the best
I love Tangerine Dream.

Tangerine Dream is a spiritual/emotional experience. You can not put that into words. The answer to all the questions: listen to the music.
good to see this band still going. Edgar would have been proud. welcome to Glasgow.
November 13th 2023: TANGERINE DREAM, St Luke’s & The Winged Ox, Glasgow, Scotland
Very interesting and insightful interview. Thank you 🙏
Poland Love Tangerine Dream ;-)
I Ordered the Raum album. It's a month patience, but it will be worth the wait.
Saw Tangerine Drean at a festival in Kent at the weekend - top notch electronica, loved their show. I'll be buying some ablums for sure
THE NOW IS ALSO THE POSSIBLE MOMENT OF GENIUS OR FAILURE...THE TRUE STRUGGLE IN QUANTUMS THAT LEEDS EVERYMAN TO THE BLAZING SUNSHINE AND FREEDOM.
Really interesting interview. Great music coming from this band. Was the interviewer a giant ?
I stand at 6ft 8

Great line up. They are very TangerineDream- esque
You guys were WONDERFUL in St Luke’s last night in 2023! What fun and what amazing music and creativity! ❤🎉🎶
First question is the dumbest thing I've ever heard. This doesn't bode well.
She's sitting in the Middle like the 2 guys to the left and right kidnapped her
Yes, it's a shame Hoshiko wasn't given the chance to speak. In many ways, she's the most interesting of the three.
The guys tried to get her to answer, but the interviewer never asked her a question directly.
@@Cybercygni Yea i can see how she look to the right and left allways when he ask something. I think she is very shy also.
Tangerine Dream is FROESE, SCHMOELLING, FRANCK, BAUMANN ... and nothing else.
Tangerine Dream is an "idea" of music , it's not linked to one or two persons
Paul Haslinger was great in the band too and it's a shame Ralf Wadephul only lasted one tour.
The fact! Them are the right guys and any still alive! The true Tangerine Dream Sprit.
Aucun d'eux n'était né quand Tangerine Dream a été créé 😂
I would have loved to hear Hoshiko. She can't be blamed for being timid, it is a very endearing quality. 🤍
