Thanks for creating this! By any chance does anyone know what is the step pulse width on the hi trigger? As per A4988 it should be always 1uS but is this 555 circuit providing 1uS at all times? Just curious, thanks!
How hot does that screen separator you're using as a hot plate get? I'm seeing mixed reports on the web (even on places that have it for sale) that it maxes out anywhere from about 150 degrees all the way up to 400. Are you using low temp bismuth solder?
Exactly, you already spotted the trick around it, it is all about getting a low temperature profile solder paste, the maximum temperature that screen separator could reach is 190 Celsius degrees.
