man who played for years with greats of jazz, knows how to find musicians on that level....yet, i think his best gigs where with chick and sco...saw him once with chick and blade in manhattan (club on 11th av), it may sound crazy, but for that time i only knew chick, but my head moved pretty fast from chick to him and then to blade...they ttl shocked me...i was laughing, couldn't believe that human can play difficult patterns that they paid with such easy....it was something really amazing to experince.

As usual, great performance by Sands and McBride, not a huge fan of this drummer compared to Ulysses Owens but still real great stuff! Christian Sands especially just kills it.

I heard somewhere Jerome first time playing with the trio was the night of their first gig together. You even can see here he's semi-blagging it (and doing a magnificent job of course!). The plot thickens..!
genius, except for the part where he mixes in an unrelated melody, that was such a distraction that I won't be able to listen to this again, it sticks out like a sore thumb...
