Awesome video, but owls are not pets people. I've worked with them for 5 years, and even the smallest owls, though cute, can be absolutely vicious. They're predators, and if kept in captivity should have plenty of space and an outdoor aviary. They're not birds that can be kept in an indoor cage. They need to be flown to be exercised, it's just not something that the average person should be able to own.

You will be constantly cleaning 6.) They need lots of room. Wonderful, beautiful animals, but not good for pets. I work at a wildlife center, we use owls all the time in our education programs. Also rehabilitate ones that come in sick or injured and release them. I very much love working with them, but I would never own one.

I petted a baby owl and an older owl at a stall in Hastings in the UK a couple of years ago, and I'll never forget it, so gentle and receptive to my affection. Owls are my spirit animal, I always get owl in those quizzes. They are so funny, inquisitive, perceptive, but can be assertive and a hunter when required. They are indeed very much like cats.
