- Turtles and Sharks and Rays, OH MY!!! After hunkering down for our first Bahamas winter gale we set out to explore the islands that make up the northern Abacos. Starting at Great Sale Cay we point our Seawind 1160, Plot Twist, south to Cave Cay, across the top of Little Abaco Island to Allans-Pensacola Cay, then south to Spanish Cay where we enjoyed the small but very welcoming marina. We then ventured south again to Powell Cay where we had some beautiful snorkeling opportunities along the sheer cliff face that lined the small anchorage. Continuing south we headed Manjack Cay, also known as Nunjack Cay, where we met up with some very friendly Sting Rays. Our final leg south takes us to Green Turtle Cay where you will have to wait to see our exploration there!

I appreciate the bird's eye chart views showing your track and location. And who can't love a gal in pearls ! Sail On !
You're very welcome! It's still all new to us and we want to share as much of the experience as possible. And, yes, who doesn't love a gal in pearls?! It's been Paige's signature look for many, many years.
Awe..your dog loves you! Says a lot! :)
Thank you! He's a very good boy, and like many, many dogs loves his family and just wants to be part of the action.
Winston is just wonderful, how I love Great Danes. Fair wins to you.
Thank you! He is a big goof, but we love him!!!
Hello again from Australia. I grew up with Danes from my pre-teens to my mid teens. Usually 1 or 2 at a time. Our dogs all loved the boats, but hated it if even one of us was in the water. I now suspect they really just wanted to be with us rather than they liked being out in the boat. Dad used to own a boat building business building 22' to 27' cabin cruiser stink boats (Power boats), so we were rarely without a 24'-27' trailerable boat. Once Khan (our first, biggest and best behaved Dane) jumped overside in panik when mum and dad (when scuba diving) disappeared under the surface, then my Brother and I also jumped over side to cool off for a few seconds. In retrospect, not a good idea. We all struggled for almost 1/2 hour before managing to rigup something to get him aboard again. Dad built a lowerable platform for him incase that ever happened again. Kahn never did that again, nor did any of our later Danes. But that platform slowly improved and went from boat to boat over the years. I very much love Great Danes but they really can't swim (or at a stretch they swim poorly and dangerously). Your Winston seems to be handling both of you being in the water very well. Plus Sugar Scoops if he does go overside.
I guess I should mention that was some time ago now. I'm now 57 and sorting out my finances to buy about a 50-55' Cat.
Oh yes, Winston wants to be with us more than anything. We now have a dog dock (basically a floating ramp into the water) for him and we've tried to encourage him into the water but he hates swimming. He's fallen into the water by accident once before we had the dog dock and it was a nightmare to get him up, even on the sugar scoops. Much like Kahn, Winston remembers that dreadful swim and doesn't seem to care to repeat it.
Where are you looking to purchase your cat?
👍👍👍
Thank you for the encouragement! It certainly keeps us going.
@@pdgadventures And thank you for your warm videos, as well as for snorkeling.
That was pretty damn good! 😃 Thanks for sharing your lovely boat and journey and most of all…. that beautiful lump of a dog. Winston is living his best life with you guys.
Thank you!!! We certainly hope we are doing well by Winston. Those big doggo smiles sure do help!
Ah there’s no doubt. Watch him bouncing on a beach or resting his huge head on your shoulder…. he is a lucky dog and you guys are blessed with his presence. Thanks so much for sharing your precious moments with the world. I can see the growth in your skills and confidence over time…. it’s been a pleasure to watch. Thanks.
@@tonyfromaus7855 thank you for the very kind and encouraging words. Our skills are improving day by day (sometime by night too!!! 😂😱) so hopefully one day we will confident and brave enough to challenge some truly epic sails!
You 2 look like your having so much fun, your always smiling which is great to watch, the beach looked really good, did you have much sailing experience before you started out on your travels?
Thank you! We both started sailing before we met each other, but nothing like this! Our experience was limited to fair weather lake sailing and today we are sailing south on the Exumas Sound in 20+kts winds going about 7.5kts SOG (speed over ground).
You two have a special something about you…I watch a ton of sailing channels and really like the way you tell a story, your editing has really improved from the first days. Have fun out there and keep the smiling faces. Cheers, 🍻🤗
Awww!!! Thank you so much for the very thoughtful comment. How long have you guys been part of the team? Hope you had a very Merry Christmas 🎄🎁!
@@pdgadventuresand thank you for your kind words. Basically watched the first few , then a good hours plus worth of some in the middle, then yourcv last two (all today). As you continue to travel and explore your content will only get better and better. Cheers 🤗
@@obieandlaurie thank you for choosing to spend time with us and you heartfelt encouragement, it really means a LOT to us. We know we have so much to learn (YT & Sailing for sure!) But kind words like yours definitely help us along the way! Stay tuned and don't be a stranger, if you see something along the way you like (or don't) please let us know.
YOU GUYS ARE VISITING SOME REALLY KOOL PLACES, AND IT’S NICE TO SEE YOU BOTH HAVING FUN‼️👍👍
📌 HAPPY HOLIDAYS 📣 🎄☃️
There are sooo many cool places here and we want to show them all to you guys. Happy holidays to you and yours too!
Nothing to do with your latest video, just saying Merry Christmas !!!
And a very Merry Christmas to you friend!!! 🎄🎅😁
starfish...sure but do they have seals in the Bahamas????
No, no aqua-puppers here. Daniel does love seals but Paige definitely loves her starfish
Pearls?
That's right! 😁 I've been wearing pearls for years.
