For information, 3.0 just came out so there is only one trailer. You can add it to the 2.x serie :)
You guys can play both the game on seperate device but at some point you will unlock co op that way help eachother on bosses
I recommend that you watch and react to the Teyvat Chapter Storyline Preview (th-cam.com/video/TAlKhARUcoY/w-d-xo.html) to get a sense of where they're planning on going with the game before diving into the Version 2 trailers. Each chapter is focused on one nation in the game, and each nation is inspired by a real world country or region (Prologue - Monstadt/European, Version 1 - Liyue/China, Ver 2 - Inazuma/Japan, Ver 3 - Sumeru/Middle East and India) so take a look at the characters, names, scenery, and the music that is paired with them and how they draw from those regions. From Version 2 onwards, they go hard on the trailers - I think you'll enjoy them even more! The game is currently on Version 3.0 with leaks suggesting 3.1 trailer dropping this Fri or Sat, so if you wait to record on Sat, you might be able to react to 3.1 as well and be fully up to date with the version trailers!

there are another charac demo u didnt watch yet also there are a playlist called "genshin collected miscellany" about all charac abilities
Visions in Genshin are items that characters carry on their person. These objects take the form of decorative designs encasing glowing gems with the respective element's symbol in the center. a vision grant the user elemental abilities (Pyro, Cryo, Hydro, Dendro, Geo, Anemo, Electro)
Are so are they more cosmetics??

@@tomjsherlock A vision allows you to use elemental powers plus a few other important things, such as marking you as a potential for ascension to celestial(the realm of the gods)
@@tomjsherlock it is a major reason why almost everyone you meet in teyvat (world of genshin impact) is surprised to see the traveler (the main story character you start with) use elemental powers without a vision.
You got Qiqi and Klee's name mixed up 😆 The red little girl that bombs everything is Klee not Qiqi. Qiqi is the zombie kid.
21:29 You can play with other people and explore your or their world together in co-op mode. But you can't do the main quest and some other parts of the game together. When you play normally, you can have 4 different characters in your party, but during co-op, the slots get divided depending on how many you're playing with.
25:19 Visions are the circular glowing item that you can see the characters wear. It's basically the thing that give them the ability to weild elements like fire, ice, water, etc.

They actually announced a Genshin animated series just a few days ago.

Regarding characters, you get a few from the game at the start and then you get more through gacha (essentially a lottery if you don't know the word). Paying for gacha pulls may get VERY expensive but it's optional. The game gives you small but steady income of gacha currency for free and it is sufficient to play the game to its full extent. You'll not have all the characters but you can get more than enough over time, including the best characters and weapons in the game if you plan things well.
There are even players who (as a challenge) played over a year using just the characters and weapons the game gives for free (i.e. no gacha pulls at all, even though they collected all the gacha currency) and even for them nothing is locked off, it's just harder.
So is it a really small chance of getting the incredible characters?? Also which ones have the rarest characters to get?
@@tomjsherlock the chances for 5* are small, for 4* are not.
There are guarantees - if you saved up enough, you can be sure you're getting the character you want. That's why the op mentioned planning things well.
4* are sometimes better than 5* though
@@tomjsherlock The gacha utilizes a "pity" system, meaning if you don't get the featured character or weapon for long enough, your initially small chance to get it (about 0.6% for a 5-star item) increases until it's 100% and you just get it. It's a bit more complicated than that but this is the gist of it. And the system is weighed towards you getting them late more likely than early. The best strategy in my opinion is to expect that you'll be unlucky and save enough to reach that 100% chance. You will likely not use it all but you will get what you want.
Just for additional information, Genshin has a main story that you will play in the 'Archon quest', but they have a lot of events and other quests as well. Some parts of the trailers are event-related, so you might notice that one trailer to the other doesn't really connect, or one trailer is serious, and then suddenly it's super happy. You might notice that most of the time, 1 trailer is split into 2 stories. It's usually main story and event story.
Also, Genshin uses the trailers to introduce new characters, monsters, and places as well, so that's why you might notice some characters saying random things or there are frames of just places.
The world in Genshin is called Teyvat, and it's divided into 7 regions. There is a main plot that makes you travel to these regions, and each region have their own stories. As for now, there are 4 main regions, and each region is introduced with the .0 trailers. For example, 2.0 and 3.0. Those .0 trailers are longer and the story-telling is more in depth, so make sure to pay attention to them :D
Since you're only reacting to version 1 in this video, you're only seeing the first 2 regions. I hope you would continue to react to the next 2 regions in the version 2 and 3 respectively because the story and trailers just get better and better 😊

There's actualy a housing system in genshin! It's a whole realm inside a magical teapot. You choose how the realm looks like out of a few variants and then build and decorate it however you like
Some people build masterpieces with this system (sometimes using bugs and tricks though)
You can also "invite" characters you have to your teapot. It allows to unlock a few funny dialogues and if you build a furniture set that a character likes you'll get some rewards.
Ahhh so I'm getting animal crossing vibes with this then? Is it a sort of similar thing?
@@tomjsherlock i didn't play animal crossing so i don't know if they are similar, but I'd say it somehow resembles Sims games, but you need to craft furniture first and then place it (crafting is easy, you get materials from world exploration)
Sometimes you also get memorable things from events, but they aren't available anymore unfortunately. There will be a lot of other events with rewards like this, I'm sure, but there's still no way to obtain items from older events.
Version 2 and 3 are the best parts you should watch it

8:04 - That's Sucrose, Albedo's alchemy apprentice! He mentioned her at the beginning of his demo
9:51 - Paimon, your traveling companion! We currently have no idea what she actually is--there's loads of theories out there. Some people think she's really annoying, but I think she's super cute and fun
21:31 - Co-op is unlocked at player level 16, which can easily be reached within a few hours of play. Up to 4 people can play together at once. That said, most content can be cleared solo and a lot of things outright /can't/ be done in co-op, whereas content that outright requires co-op is really only the occasional time-limited event
Each patch contains a mix of permanent and limited content, as well as a mix of major and minor additions to the game. Quick summary of the notable parts of each patch in 1.x:
1.0: Game launch! Comes with a bunch of permanent characters at launch as well as the limited characters Venti and Klee, the regions of Mondstadt and Liyue, and the archon quest (main story) prologue acts 1-3 and chapter 1 acts 1-2. There's 6 playable elements, 6 overworld bosses, and 2 weekly bosses. No major events but I think there were some minor ones? Idk I started playing in 1.1
1.1: Introduction of Childe (limited), Zhongli (limited), Diona (permanent), and Xinyan (permanent); story quests (character-focused quests) for Childe and Zhongli; archon quest chapter 1 act 3; new weekly boss fight; city reputation mechanic introduced. Features the first major event, Unreconciled Stars, which basically started the game's thriving lore community and introduced my favorite character, who still isn't playable almost 2 years later

Nice reaction, the Teapot is your player home which you build. In answer to your mom about talking to other players, you can during CO-OP play otherwise it is a single player experience. In reference to an earlier comment about just wandering, after the initial
quest that is totally what Genshin is all about, exploring, puzzles, quests.
Completly open world.
for your info the dude at 12:27 is one of the two main characters, the other being the girl who is walking away. For consistency Mihoyo has chosen the boy, Aether, to be the one they show in trailers but canonically neither is the main character you can choose either one and it would be correct.
So weird of a feeling to see Klee being called Qiqi.

Do give the game a try! It really can be played completely free. Downloading it for the first time can take quite long, so better do that while you have other things to do.
The blond fellow with the long braid is the male version of the Protagonist, his name is Aether. The girl in the Lantern Rite trailer he had lost is his sister, Lumine. The roles can be reversed and it can also be the Lumine looking for her brother.
The game is mostly single player, but there is co-op. Max 4 people can play together at a time, each taking up one character slot in the team. It is fun and experienced players can help newcomers around.
I think i'd defo play it single player to begin with, with mum watching me play :)

The voice actor for the gramophone is rumoured to be the English VA of Lady Alcina Dimitrescu the female villain for resident evil

The game is mainly a single player experience, but co-op does unlock at Adventure Rank 16 (kinda early in the game). You can’t do everything in co-op, but you can definitely explore the world together, depending on how much you have unlocked.

@@tomjsherlock fr tho cant wait for the next video. Plus I'm excited for if you two decide to play it. There is co-op but sadly it's not until later in the game (a good few hours of playing) so you probably are best to go through it with taking turns at who's controlling the character. I will admit the game is kinda hard to get hooked on at the beginning for some people however if you take it at your own pace and explore it's pretty fun.

First of all lovely reaction video . I feel kinda nostalgic seeing these again
Secondly about those wings , they are an in game flying mechanism, everyone has a default wing and the best part is that they come in several designs and colour .
Also , there are several events that keep happening all around the year , they mostly focus on character interactions , you may miss some storyline , but some are repeated , like the Lantern rite happens during the Chinese New year , that is repeated every year .
In game , there are 7 regions out of which 4 are currently accessible.
There are 7 elements too , which interact with each other. Now how they interact will be for you to discover 😉
Looking forward to the next set of version reactions too , those are some of the best ones out there , especially the Sumeru version expansion.
1) The wings are gliders. You aren't actually flying, you're gliding down
2) Events don't come back. The second Lantern Rite, as well as the summer event on Golden Apple Archipelago, were a completely different experience compared to the first ones. Different story, different activities, different characters in the spotlight
Also please start playing , I won't spoil the storyline even a bit , it's for you to discover on your journey through the world of Teyvat , you won't regret it if nothing the ost of Yu Peng Chen are masterpieces

genshin' story is very good. unfortunately some side stories and quests are only for time limit events. but still enjoyable for every new players. and game story is ongoing and final chapter will be next 5 or 6 years. i guess ! by the way. i like your reaction. it' seen very honest.

So, basically the game is set in the continent of Teyvat. It is divided in 7 different nations (all inspired by real world cultures and aesthetics), each of them governed by an Archon (ruling gods that earned that title in a huge war) that is tied to an element. There are also smaller areas, inside or even beneath these nations, that are mostly unhinabited or have been sort of abandoned (this game has a lot of lore, and these places are chock full of it).
In these trailers you saw Mondstadt and Liyue (the wind nation and the earth nations, respectively), plus Dragonspine which is a mountain in Mondstadt's territory (it's one of those smaller areas i mentioned).
Genshin has a great story and an amazing lore, and it is reflected in the world. It is simply gorgeous.
I couldn't agree more, Genshin is totally stunning from what i've seen.... I may of just downloaded it!!!

Great time to start. The new region, Sumeru, is extremely fun and immersive. Might take you a month to get there if you start, but it's well worth it! Also, Visions are granted by the gods, and become physical "ornaments" that grant the people of this world their elemental powers.

most updates come with new story content and bosses, both of which are still available today but the other mini events are time exclusive unfortunately

You can both play, the game has coop, but you'd each need to play on seperate accounts up until coop is unlocked and coop doesn't really work well during the main story missions. Warning its monetised by a Gacha system so be careful with that.

ill try to answer it all briefly from this point. (spoilers: couldn't)
"The" mission of the story, the one true "mission" of the game and what keeps the story flowing, is to find clues on your lost sibling. but of course, like many games, there is a "mission log". the voice lines on each trailer are taken out of context from there to hint future events, a good example being the specific time we were told to "break "that" seal to access "that" statue of the seven"
the "friends along the way" are always available to use, because they are given though the gacha system of the game (not gonna go too deep into explaining that one).
in a more simple, non-gamer explanation, there's a girl called Noelle, but there is "Noelle in the story", stays around town and helps people, and there is "Noelle in my team", that "technically" is the same one, but slightly breaks the immersion if you are currently using the character and stand next to the story version of said character. Thus each characters "lives and breathes" in this world akin to their birthplace regions and exceptions, but they also are "team members" for the purpose of "playing the game"....(if you get lucky...*couch)
The trailers themselves will be very, very vague, to inspire uncovering what they truly mean every time they drop a new one. Awesome visually, but they do have a knack of doing their best to "keep you guessing" on each one. That's why I previously mentioned that the version trailers will not have answers to a lot of questions, they are means to raise more question and the answers being "inside the game", that's how they have keep us hooked to it for years now, at least to those like me that have been watching their trailers from previous games, heh. (like, all trailers do that, duh, but I feel Mihoyo tends to go the extra mile -__-';)
On that note, yes, I would love if you guys would want to play the game for the sake of answering all those queries by directly engaging into the game, it would make for a very wholesome reaction.
to sum it all up, the very specific questions, like "who is that", "what >exactly< are visions", and many other similar question....well, they hint to it in the trailers so that you get to discover it yourself, and the sheer amount of them questions, oh boy, that's a lot of comments to read to get all those answers, lol.
because these "version trailers" focus more on "adding stuff to >the gamea finished game
The word gacha comes from english "got ya", it's not onomatopoeia
@@Jevjevjevj Sorry but I can confirm that the word Gacha originated from Japan and the English (close) equivalent came later. It has been used to refer to this specific genre/aspect of video games where you spin the gacha to obtain chars/items for a long time.

One question you have is why there are so few male characters in the game.
Well, the question is more like the opposite way for me. Why there are that many male characters in the game.
Genshin is an exception in the class of gacha game. Gacha game before genshin usually only make female characters for you to play. Genshin does it with male characters as well.
That's really good, cause, despite the fact i stay in genshin for the story and lore, it's much more pleasant to play as male characters
