Some constructive criticism about something I've noticed in these videos; that laser/machine sound effect you use (example at 2:42) is very loud and really distracting from the narration. I remember the same sound effect going on longer in a previous 40k lore video and feeling the same way. Still an amazing video regardless 🤘

I gotta say I am very surprised by the charater of Abaddon. Yes he is a warp infested psycho, but he still had the honor to return Sigismund back to Terra, having his body and wounds cleaned, even returning his sword to him, it was all very surprising.
Its only later on you realize that most of his crusades had hidden objectives, they looked like failures to imperium but he secured relics, tech, alliances and value information during those crusades so it could all culminate in his plan to invade Cadia. Although yeah, I’m sure he must’ve been humiliated quite a few times and the fact it took 13 whole ass crusades for his plan to come to fruition was definitely not intended

What makes me think of the Scythes of the Emperor as the new XIV Legion are the Nurgle Wraiths and Hexwraiths (because of their symbol).
Just finished the audio book Black legion. It's from the perspective of the Black legion Ezekarion Iskandar Khayon such a good listen and comes to a head with this battle. Listen to Talon of Horus first then Black legion. They have you routing for the Black legion.
I really love the effort put in the animations. This makes the video very enjoyable to watch. My only critic is the sound of the lasers during the space battles are really loud.
Ngl, the production value on this vid was noticeably lacking. The laser sound effect in particular is just the same noise over and over again throughout most of the video. It was really distracting. Would be better if you used a softer, more varied background noise, or just removed it altogether. Also, I’m pretty sure you guys used the wrong ad-read for this video. You mentioned Dragon Age out of nowhere.

The Skyview of crews fighting is a lot better compared to the blender animations you guys made for this video. Hearing the sounds of longswords clash with what clearly look like chainswords really breaks immersion too
I don't have the patience to complete a Warhammer game to learn about the lore but I am still interested in learning the lore in an alternative way. Are there any good books on Warhammer?
Games are not a good way to learn lore IMO. The Horus Heresy series is a bit heavy for a forst dive into warhammer. I would start either with: Caiaphas Kain series Gaunt's Ghosts series Eizenhorn series
The gathering storm: fall of cadia, Fracture of biel tan, rise of the primarch Dark imperium, plague wars, godblight 2 very good and very nice entry level trilogies
the cheap sword sound effects really sour the experience, either use good sounds or non at all, can't believe kings and generals teams can't afford better sound effects

Which is accurate to the final battle between the Emperor and Horus which means after Dorn told Sigismund what happened he proceed to remember that as the greatest insult to say to Horus's sons hundreds of years later! Absolute savage.
