@AxifmProductionEdits hey thanks dude, yeah vasona is full again but 1. I don't think the fish population is probably that great yet 2. I wouldn't eat anything out of there, tons of trash and algae.

Just saw your vide on Vasona. Use to fish here back in the early 80's. Seeing Vasona now, its unrecognizable., Use to do very well at the cove by the dam for Crappie, nice big ones (17"). It was always know as a big bass lake. In your video there is a boat with a motor on the lake. Was that a ranger or do they allow boats on there now? If I go back further in my memory, back in the early 70s, Vasona was planted with trout. We would do well on bass and crappie on a bobber using fle-flys. Would love to go back someday. Have you tried the San Jose Water works? Big bass there also.
Thanks for the history! It was a ranger boat, they haven't planted trout in about a decade unfortunately. There's still some big ones in Vasona but it's not like I imagine it used to be!

Vasona has a lot of pressure! They're catchable but finesse is the way to go this time of year in my opinion for better odds! Let me know how it goes if you go to stevens or almaden!

I've been to vasona for the past couple of weeks have only caught to bass and it was the same day lol. may hit up stevens creek or almaden

What baits do you recommend there
They seem to like white swimbaits, not a vasona expert but I met other anglers who e had success on them also
