My file is 2.5MB I have also compressed the file and is a PDF. But when I upload it on lulu, by going onto Design section. In the Interior file upload I get a message saying; The uploaded file has an unsupported trim size. Also I am unable select the book size, style etc what am I doing wrong??
2:07. My files exceeded passed the 300 mb limit. However I went to the FTP site and nothing showed up. So what can I do to upload my file beyond 300 mb?
I would first try to reduce the final file size, if possible, by checking that all the images used are not unnecessarily large. Each image should use a resolution of 300 pixels per inch for printing. Nothing higher is needed. And is the size of each image approximately the size it will appear on the printed page? For example, if you are including an image that will be, say, six inches by eight inches when printed, then make sure the image is not 30 inches by 40 inches (or overly large in size). Finally, the PDF of the body text should compress dramatically and reduce the overall file size, so make sure you are not trying to upload the original file you worked in, rather than first exporting it as a PDF. If you have done all these things, and you can't reduce your file size any more, then I would email Lulu for help or search their discussion forums to see how others have solved the problem of uploading huge files to Lulu.
Lulu allows you to make the book only available to you, that is, totally private. This is an advantage if you want to print a test version. It's also worth considering Blurb.
You may be using a font that will not embed in a PDF. Not all fonts have the required components for embedding. If so, highlight the text in question, then go up to the Type menu, then look down and click on Create Outlines. The text will then appear a little 'furry' to show it has been turned into an object of sorts, but will print cleanly. But otherwise fonts should automatically be embedded when exported as a PDF. You should be able to see this during the export/conversion process if you look under the Advanced tab where it should say: 'All fonts with appropriate embedding bits will be embedded.'

Super helpful!
Links to other videos you referenced would be super helpful. You have a lot of videos and it’s not obvious which videos you’re talking about

I'm trying to decide between createspace and lulu. Can you give me your two cents?
