Chaos Voice Comparison (CV: Yoshitsugu Matsuoka) | Under Night In-Birth II [SYS:Celes]

Does Chaos call Azhi Dehaka "Dehaka" and not "Azhi" because he treats it like it's Japanese? As in last name first?
As arguably the most visually uninteresting character on his own at first glance I think it was a fantastic decision to have Azhi be present in Chaos' select art because you wouldn't really find him interesting just from looking at his lone sprite in the Character Select Screen. Orie gets a pass because she's the resident rapier user and Thanatos is a power that's hardly ever utilized in-universe while Azhi is Chaos' entire trump card in the story and heavily connected to him. Since I'm taking the time to address the art, I do like Chaos' new portrait purely because it reflects his age a lot better. Yoshihara's newer artstyle manages to keep Chaos looking as a young adult but still older than the student characters. It's probably the more detailed hair and jaw.
Chaos weirdly has none of his non-dialogue battle grunts be the same as it was before while his 6C and Azhi orders are pretty much the same. I'll also take the chance to be a dick towards the localizers again by pointing out it's supposed to be CODE REFLECT not "Cold" Reflect, it's the Chaos Code, and he's throwing it at you. Other than that, I don't think his voice has changed that drastically compared to some of the others.
Chaos' participation in the first big Hollow Night is questionable because Gordeau wouldn't be the one to pacify Hilda so he really has no reason to go out, aside from maybe helping to guard the altar. In fact it's more interesting to think that he's doing more to help Kuon if he was actually absent during that time.
Matsuoka really doesn't need any introduction. If you've watched anime in the past decade than chances are you've definitely heard this man's voice at least twice. I was going to say he tends to voice more shounen protagonists of the Light Novel age but he's done enough romcoms to fill out the role of the nerdy guy so his work as Chaos definitely isn't anything particularly out of pocket for him. Still, Chaos was implemented around 2013 so Chaos stands at the earliest end on the spectrum of his career.

I think it's because he sounds a lot calmer in UNI1 so his Deep Revenance delivery pops out more. He sounds more aggressive overall in 2.
