Rumuel Nathanael what i did to make combat against those lower lvl soldiers more challenging was to equip a cursed weapon and then try to raid the camps. You do kill the enemies quite fast but i found myself to have trouble dealing with the guys who carry big shields as they almost oneshot you if you are not careful. Also fighting against more people becomes harder with the limited hp you have.

Loved this game, %100 including all skills and quests. Hardest part was getting all of the skills. It was a little sad that the Bureaus didn’t happen until the end of the game 😞 This game has saved the series, wonderfully done!
So just play the game like you're supposed to. I never understand people who just blast through the main mission and side quests. I'm probably only 30% through the game at level 40 because I explore. Just got that fire staff, that's a game changer!
meh fire weapons seem amazing at first but then eventually you just let yourself on fire more often than not especially in group fights.. the fire bows however are a different story and are a very nice addition. I jumped with joy when i got that first fire staff you must be talking about and then i never used it again after only a few times lol

I always play such games in a way that the side quests end with the main quests, the exploration gets completed with the main game and so on. It's oddly satisfying.
I completed all the arena and arena elite bosses in Krocodilopolis and Cirene at level 30. And this is by far one of the coolest games I have ever played; the graphics, the plot everything!
They should have added a 4th tier of gear called, Ancient. The armour can only be obtained by fighting bosses in ancient tombs in the desheret desert. OR something like phylakes but it would be ancient warriors which ull find by hallucinations which could lead u to them
J Bensu I feel like they are going to add something along those lines with one of the main expansions, similar to the way CD PR did with The Witcher 3. They took MAJOR notes from that game and it would honestly surprise me if they didn't continue to expand on the gear. Awesome suggestion tho m8

At the shop at end game you can buy 1000xp for 1000 drachmas. I now have 17% more melee damage. Thing is it takes more and more xp after reaching max level to get an ability point so I'm grinding out that xp.
For phylakes, I killed all 10 at level 27. Just get a mount and kill them while you are on it. If they have a mount you can kill it because being on a mount gives you a huge advantage
I got the game a couple of weeks ago and i started with leveling up, exploring, hunting, finishing camps, looting tombs, silica, view points, finishing side missions (Done with almost 60 side missions so far), trophy hunting, interacting with Reda regularly and i am not even close to finishing the main story (Finished till "End of the Snake") and now i am @ level 37 with all of my crafting gear upgraded at legendary. Finished 8 out of 10 Phylakes (The ones i have remaining are the two 40 phylakes). I am taking my time with the game i am in love with everything so far, after i am done with revealing the entire map i will probably go for finishing the story then go to the "Trails of The Gods" when it becomes available again. This and Horizon are my two favorite titles this year.

I've done pretty much everything on this list except for the Hippodrome races, Gladiator Arenas and War Elephants. I guess I'd best get back to the story, since I haven't even started Act II yet. I'm at level 40 with fully upgraded Bayek and full set of Legendaries so I guess I'll be somewhat OP for the story missions. Do any of the story missions after Act I open up any more side quests, or is Plight of the Rebels the last one?
AC has never had a NG+ in any of the games in the franchise. The only things that this game doesn't have are the ability to replay missions and the 100% Synchronisation features from previous entries in the series.
Tomas Del Campo at least make it an option if it’s not for you don’t play it again simple as that. Arkham knight had new game plus and there were no complaints when people redid those missions. Get outta here man
Just finished all main and side quests (Inc DLC) - Level 55 and have levelled up another 6 times since (level stays visible @55) but the XP bar still progresses. Something just shy of 200 hours including lots of general fun to be had exploring finding stone circles (still missing a couple) and papyrus puzzles still to do, plus endless missions from that kid merchant and Roman forts repopulating themselves... Haven't even dipped into New Game + yet. This game is incredible.
Use cursed spear sarrisa on elephants and u will be done in 5 min on single ones and 6 to 8 min on 2 elephants if u r good in combat.. I did it and it was so easy that I was done with all in 15 minutes
The only thing I think you didn't cover. Was the fast travel sync spots upgrading senus perception as well. That's something I did after lv 40 just to fast travel to all the locations easier too

Does changing difficulty make a good difference? I've been playing on hard. Lvl 37 in act II with 80+ side missions done. Tried the chariots but couldn't even win the tutorial race lol
yeah, its trash but beating the 1st set of tourneys gets you a legendary horse. could only win the 1st elite. the 2nd they'd rekt my fuckin chariot and DQ me on the 2nd lap like "go fuck urself game"
Its all about making a smooth turn at the curve. Its pretty hard to explain by words, but try to place tour chariot a bit distant from the end of the wall and make the turn earlier than you think so by the time you finish your turning, your chariot would meet the very end of the wall with out going far from it
I've finished the trials of the gods so many times, I no longer get rewards from the gods, just a bunch of xp :( I kinda wish they made a legendary anubis mount or even those flaming hyenas because that'll be really cool to do.
Question: so shekmets summoned enemies are 13 levels higher than the level cap, so how am I meant to fight them when by all means they should be red skulls that I assume should be near immortal?
The best way is buy curse of the pharos DLC the cap is level 55 and I think you get an instant jump to like lvl 43 or some shit so you actually have a prayer fighting the bosses
@@stevencurtis8 Well the thing is that even at lvl 55 the boss and ennemies will be 56-58 but with unlimited upgrade in the skill tree, it is possible to surpass the dificulty.
It's not specificially a gameplay thing, but in the new year they are adding a new discovery feature mode if anyones interested. You can basicially have an educated tour about everything that happened in Egypt during the time period the game is set in.
Gage Rohmer heh that's a tricky one. Took me a while to scour the map & make sure I got every question mark, as well as completing all locations. But very much doable. Just go region by region. Also there's an cave that shows up only after the end of the story I think.
LikenvrB4 spend about 5 - 10 minutes in the desert - during mid day. Use Dawn & dusk to change time if it becomes evening before you get the event. The Great White desert (I think that's what it's called) has been reportedly most fruitful. Walk/ run around & you'll get it after a few other hallucinations. It's a bit rarer & could take sooner or longer but you could get lucky. It took me slightly longer, but not by much.

BattlestarPegasus the war elephants are actually really easy, I beat everyone without dying once, all you do is keep your distance, shoot the legs of the elephant and keep picking up arrows. Keep your distance best you can and always use your overcharge, also when the elephant puts its front legs in the air shoot it's belly and its extra damage almost double damage, found that out fighting the last two elephants, also you can dodge the elephants when they charge at you, just dodge left and right not back. Hope this helped ( p.s. Don't know what level you are but they are lvl 40 so I recommend being 35 or higher maybe not even 35, 36 or 37, otherwise not a lot of damage is done)
Nathan XTK Yeah but if you get to max level before the story missions, until the ending missions the enemies will be basically insta kills. Up to you but I would mix it up a bit.
Actually I would recommend to do it as your doing the main mission at the reign, because sometimes it could connect the story as your playing, and a really good wwritting :)
Ok so I've finished everything related to quests, lvls, secrets in main game and all dlc's avalaible... I've to say that at this point after approximately 90 hours, this game is a little boring... Well to people who will read this after finish the main storyline, play the dlc's, they are actually more interesting than some of the main missions and add a lot to the experience. And don't forget to try the special quest (marked in orange if i remember correctly), it will give you some AWESOME THINGS !
I hope they add new game+ in an update. I've completed everything in the game and there's no replayability. Being able to play through the whole story from the beginning with all legendary gear I've got would be great.
They should add side missions that include the ancient aliens and their tech and their role of building the pyramids and also underground places you can uncover and explore that explains how they used the star system.
Literally tried to do everything as it came. Pretty much did all main missions, reached Level 40. Completed over 100 side quests only to still have half the map to explore. Damn man

My biggest regret in terms of gaming in recent years is that I fucked up with assassin's creed origin's by playing it for 5 hours and finding the combat difficult the day the game launched and then putting it to a side just about a month ago I gave it 1 last shot because ran out of games to play and I must say what a fucking awesome game it is indeed, once you get used to, to the combat and adjust to the new RPG approach you just appreciate it all to the point where you just think fucking hell ubi best thing in years lol, but regardless to all of that i bought far cry 5 due to far cry being my favourite fps I just couldn't resist and that game is collecting dust until I have had enough of this game lol Which will be a long time coming lol
I remember trying to kill all the roaming bosses and found the level 40’s in the same place, so when I attacked them a CRAP ton of rebels came out of no where and conveys kept appearing... It was a full on war dude...
I'm barely level 20 in this game and I've already got the Isu armor and I've almost fully upgraded all the different armor and weapon parts in the pause menu.
I really miss the phylakes as well. They were so fun and challenging to fight and kill and gives you awesome loot. Hopefully they add some more.

The hippodrome is way too difficult. I had to change the difficulty to easy and I still couldn’t even beat the first race !
Does changing difficulty make a good difference? I've been playing on hard. Lvl 37 in act II with 80+ side missions done. Tried the chariots but couldn't even win the tutorial race lol
yeah, its trash but beating the 1st set of tourneys gets you a legendary horse. could only win the 1st elite. the 2nd they'd rekt my fuckin chariot and DQ me on the 2nd lap like "go fuck urself game"

Its all about making a smooth turn at the curve.
Its pretty hard to explain by words, but try to place tour chariot a bit distant from the end of the wall and make the turn earlier than you think so by the time you finish your turning, your chariot would meet the very end of the wall with out going far from it

I've finished the trials of the gods so many times, I no longer get rewards from the gods, just a bunch of xp :( I kinda wish they made a legendary anubis mount or even those flaming hyenas because that'll be really cool to do.

Question: so shekmets summoned enemies are 13 levels higher than the level cap, so how am I meant to fight them when by all means they should be red skulls that I assume should be near immortal?
The best way is buy curse of the pharos DLC the cap is level 55 and I think you get an instant jump to like lvl 43 or some shit so you actually have a prayer fighting the bosses
@@stevencurtis8 Well the thing is that even at lvl 55 the boss and ennemies will be 56-58 but with unlimited upgrade in the skill tree, it is possible to surpass the dificulty.

It's not specificially a gameplay thing, but in the new year they are adding a new discovery feature mode if anyones interested. You can basicially have an educated tour about everything that happened in Egypt during the time period the game is set in.

Gage Rohmer heh that's a tricky one. Took me a while to scour the map & make sure I got every question mark, as well as completing all locations. But very much doable. Just go region by region. Also there's an cave that shows up only after the end of the story I think.

LikenvrB4 spend about 5 - 10 minutes in the desert - during mid day. Use Dawn & dusk to change time if it becomes evening before you get the event. The Great White desert (I think that's what it's called) has been reportedly most fruitful. Walk/ run around & you'll get it after a few other hallucinations. It's a bit rarer & could take sooner or longer but you could get lucky. It took me slightly longer, but not by much.

Those war elephants are too difficult for me. Those archers on top get me every time. And I'm not dropping the difficulty to Easy.
BattlestarPegasus the war elephants are actually really easy, I beat everyone without dying once, all you do is keep your distance, shoot the legs of the elephant and keep picking up arrows. Keep your distance best you can and always use your overcharge, also when the elephant puts its front legs in the air shoot it's belly and its extra damage almost double damage, found that out fighting the last two elephants, also you can dodge the elephants when they charge at you, just dodge left and right not back. Hope this helped ( p.s. Don't know what level you are but they are lvl 40 so I recommend being 35 or higher maybe not even 35, 36 or 37, otherwise not a lot of damage is done)

Like I am not going to do the won were I can get better loot when I am max level like the tombs but still.
Nathan XTK Yeah but if you get to max level before the story missions, until the ending missions the enemies will be basically insta kills. Up to you but I would mix it up a bit.
I did that since doing main quests will be always like 5/4 levels higher than you

Actually I would recommend to do it as your doing the main mission at the reign, because sometimes it could connect the story as your playing, and a really good wwritting :)

Ok so I've finished everything related to quests, lvls, secrets in main game and all dlc's avalaible... I've to say that at this point after approximately 90 hours, this game is a little boring... Well to people who will read this after finish the main storyline, play the dlc's, they are actually more interesting than some of the main missions and add a lot to the experience. And don't forget to try the special quest (marked in orange if i remember correctly), it will give you some AWESOME THINGS !

I hope they add new game+ in an update. I've completed everything in the game and there's no replayability. Being able to play through the whole story from the beginning with all legendary gear I've got would be great.

Literally tried to do everything as it came. Pretty much did all main missions, reached Level 40. Completed over 100 side quests only to still have half the map to explore. Damn man

My biggest regret in terms of gaming in recent years is that I fucked up with assassin's creed origin's by playing it for 5 hours and finding the combat difficult the day the game launched and then putting it to a side just about a month ago I gave it 1 last shot because ran out of games to play and I must say what a fucking awesome game it is indeed, once you get used to, to the combat and adjust to the new RPG approach you just appreciate it all to the point where you just think fucking hell ubi best thing in years lol, but regardless to all of that i bought far cry 5 due to far cry being my favourite fps I just couldn't resist and that game is collecting dust until I have had enough of this game lol Which will be a long time coming lol

Within the first few seconds of the cutscene for the arena you can press options and change your weapon I've done it twice.
I remember trying to kill all the roaming bosses and found the level 40’s in the same place, so when I attacked them a CRAP ton of rebels came out of no where and conveys kept appearing...
It was a full on war dude...

I'm barely level 20 in this game and I've already got the Isu armor and I've almost fully upgraded all the different armor and weapon parts in the pause menu.
