The redesign preserves the original footprint, skillfully integrating modern elements while honoring the home's historical essence.
One of the standout features of the Sand Point Residence is the strategic use of courtyards, which elegantly blend the indoor and outdoor environments. The main entry courtyard opens the house to the east, welcoming morning light and offering serene views. The second courtyard faces the fairway, creating a west-facing space perfect for family activities and relaxation. These courtyards serve as tranquil oases, enhancing the connection between the home and its natural surroundings.
Inside, the home is characterized by its spatial fluidity. Free-standing cabinets and vertical slat walls define the living, dining, and kitchen areas, creating a sense of openness and continuity. Expansive sliding glass doors allow these spaces to seamlessly transition into the courtyards, inviting ample natural light and fostering an airy, vibrant atmosphere. The kitchen, bathed in sunlight from the east, south, and west, becomes a sunlit sanctuary, perfect for culinary explorations throughout the day.
