"I love you just the way you are." To think that all Ruby needed was hearing her mother saying these words. And the final shot of Vacuo proves that Ruby's message from volume 8 was heard. There are Airships from Mistral, Vacuo, some survivors from Atlas, even Vale in addition to Amity Colosseum. Ruby united the world against Salem.
Almost. The power of the call lies in Ruby checking out many different identities, feeling their burdens, feeling lost, and THEN the call from her own weapon was a tremendous relief, she was desperate to hear it.
This Volume only being 10 episodes reminds me of the early days of RWBY when they had limited resources but still managed to create an amazing experience.
It ll always melt my heart how much of Somewhat (little new life) appereance is based on Ruby! also, found your channel during this volume and its has been a great time to see your reaction and thoughts throught out the vol! Hope to see more in general!
Something I noticed about the smithy was that the wooden carvings on the table all represent someone the Tree made. Yet the single outlier there is a pink crystal. If you pay attention as the screen whites out with Ruby leaving to Vacuo, you can see the Blacksmith reach for it, to start working on it. That crystal is absolutely representative of Neo, and considering that the Tree can send people to *when* they are needed (V9 has been 3-4 days at the absolute most in the Ever After, yet for Amity to be repaired and in the skies above Vacuo at the end, either weeks or even *months* have passed on Remnant), time in the Ever After clearly doesn't have to match Remnant at all. So when we consider that the Tree is getting to work on Neo's Ascension literally seconds after RWBYJ left, we might be seeing Neo again sooner than we think.
Have to say that you’re one of the better commentators for RWBY since you express yourself so honestly. That’s a sign of bravery and strength. Just subscribed to the channel.

To me,this show is everything. I discovered it in January or February last year and I originally didn't wanna give it a shot cause I saw the animation of the first episode and I noped out immediately. Later on,I decided to give it a chance and I've never looked back. I've enjoyed every second of it and I enjoy it more and more as it goes on. This show means everything to me because I discovered it when I reaally needed it and I've grown attached to the characters. I nearly cried a lot of times and it's been a wild ride. I can barely wait for more. Edit: hell,it may sound odd but there are times I genuinely listen to the "I may fall" track when I need the courage and will to do certain things. It means so much to me and I'm glad to hear it means this much to atleast 1 other person

Also I found Rooster teeth during the first season of Red vs Blue due to TH-cam saying I might like it cause I had watched everything Monty had posted at the time! So I found RT due to Monty and years later he started working at RT and I was so hyped! Then they made this! and it is just amazing!

More powerful than you may be able to see at times. 6 years of therapy proves that. The act of seeking help and sticking with it. That’s strength. It fun to speculate. As a over 50 year consumer of media I have not seen a main character eliminated which is changing into someone else permanent except when a live actor left the show at this point in a story. A fake main killed early or main killed in final climax or after it yes I seen it otherwise no. Exceptions the anyone can die ensemble dramas Game of Thrones for example. Declared before the start Tragedy which are rare. Thus based on experience I thought her actually losing her memories and personality, Death as Neo correctly assumed extremely unlikely. A temporary change into Summer possible but nothing permanent. Characters dying or leaving the show effectively often permanently loses some of the audience this is one reason you don't se that many deaths unless the audience knows from the beginning anyone can die or it's a Tragedy which is why Shakespeare advertised his Tragedy as Tragedy. Still if like me with Attack on Titan you remove all the characters I really like you lose me which they did. Double as I hated Erin and the cool characters were single note low personalities. That fairly rare I like tragedy and anyone can die stories normally.
Great reaction! Also I have a crazy theory that I only just realized from watching your reaction. We saw Summer reading the everafter before she left. What if during her final mission she at some point was transported to the everafter and some point will appear during the final fight with Salem. Now hear me out the reason I think this is that 1: only a small portion of the everafter was explored meaning there are other parts that weren’t ( summer may have been in those other parts) or 2: The blacksmith told team RWBY it isn’t where the are going but when they are needs most. This leaves the plausibility that summer could reappear but only when she’s need most.( we’ve already seen this volume deal with going back in time or reverting peoples age) so it’s not impossible for something weird like that to happen with Summer)
Caution: this gets dark. It's also not my own idea but cobbled together from various thoughts from others. The most plausible scenario I currently have, now that we know Raven went along, is that Summer did defeat Salem, but then she came back (which is how Raven knows about Salem's invulnerability). And then (this is the really dark part) Salem turned Summer into the first Hound (as Ruby guessed), and Raven was forced to kill her.
What gets me about that final shot is the mix of Vale, Atlas, and Mistral ships, as well as the Amity Coliseum all together on the horizon - Ruby's call to arms worked. The people of Remnant heard her and came together, just in time. Their crazy plan WORKED. Atlas the city was lost yes, but countless lives were saved. They couldn't save everyone but every life they did save was worth the struggle.

Understand how RWBY has shaped your life and personality. For me it was Star Trek (the original crew) when I was growing up. The stories that humanity will overcome our hate and distrust of others to create a better future for all made me who I am today. Yea, born in ‘62 and anime fan since ‘85. RWBY fan since day one when I saw the first episode (didn’t see the color trailers until much later). After finishing volume 9 I found your videos and was just in love with your genuine reactions and enthusiasm for the show. I would watch a video when I come home from work and I was especially looking forward to this reaction, seeing how much Ruby meant to you. 9:50 So, some theories of mine of what probably happened to Summer Seeing as this probably was a Salem suicide mission and they likely faced a crap ton of Grimm 1. Raven's dust blade broke(Or however that thing works), and she made a new one as she was picking out her next target, and as she did and went to go slash at it, Summer came in last second and got the target not knowing Raven was there and Raven slashed and killed her by accident (So a Ruby/Weiss Vs Beowolf pack V1 moment) 2. They got out numbered and Raven used her semblance so Qrow could swoop in via portal and save Raven, not knowing Summer was with her, as he thought it was her and their clan and when Qrow was able to transform back to human, he had notice Summer, but it was took late. This was also Raven showing she had a "Save you only once" clause for everyone on her team and Yang and Summer had used hers some other time 3. Summer got fatally wounded and Raven could've saved her by using her semblance to get a portal out of there, but Summer did a Penny and told Raven to leave her as Raven's time to escape was running out 4. Salem captured them both and she forced Raven to watch as she killed Summer and turn her into a Grimm (If Ruby's assumption from V8 turn out to be true) which is why Raven is so distant from Tai, Yang and Ruby, because she doesn't want to tell them what she saw

*Spoilers present in this comment do not read if you haven't seen the finale yet* I don't know what to say about the episode itself. It went in every way I predicted it would (or did I have inside knowledge? Dun dun dun). I predicted back in Volume 8 that the rallying cry Ruby made with Amity would unite the world since it panned to everyone. The constant references to Summer made it obvious she was going to show up at some point and the scene with Herb when RWBY was facing themselves made me know this was the arc where Ruby would face her personal challenges just like Yang and Blake and Weiss did in earlier volumes. Based on the way this ends it would not surprise me if Volume 10 concluded the series since almost all major plot points other then dealing with Salem have basically been covered now. They could make more then one more Volume but I worry about the show dragging on for too long and losing it's value if it just fills time for the sake of it (which CRWBY never have done up til now so I don't expect they will).

That last season at least for me felt a bit rushed like both the actors and the crew just wanted it to be done.

I near certain it will be green lit. They don't order a second run of print comic Crossover and a two part Crossover movie for a show on the bubble about to be canceled. They did work out this Crunchyroll deal which is Sony not Warner Brothers so they have to hash out a broadcasting deal. But even if they cannot that does not mean RWBY over it just means it gets put back on Rooster Teeth or another anime or comic outfit.

itz crazy to think that ruby rose is reacting to herself in the ever after. that's insane. Ruby seeing little again was probably the best scene for me. to think from the start of the volume little questioned Ruby what she was to which she didn't have a proper answer up until the finale. and since little accended she doesn't know what she really was so she asks Ruby because she knew what she was its just WOW imma cry for a sec. all in all were all proud of ruby for who she is cuz she was already enough for all of us. I was literally preparing myself to have a summer/ruby attitude change and look but I'm glad we didn't get that!

As ive just now found your channel, im too late to make a submission, but i would like to leave a message of what RWBY means to me. As like you, ive been a fan since the early days. I started watching while the tail end of volume 2 was being released, and this show captivated me beyond what i couldve originally expected. I watched it evolve, grow, change and deepen in so many beautiful ways, i waited, year and year, for each volume, and eqch steals my heart in such a way i continue rewatching throughout the remainder of the year until the next volume. I cant name a single show that has been able to snatch my soul quite like rwby has. As ive grown alongside the show, i remember getting home on friday night after school in elementary school and waiting eagerly for saturday morning, to catch the next episode. I remember my audible screams at PvP, PvC, YvA, my parents yelling at me to quiet down. I remember getting to see adam get both ends of blakes sword, and screaming "LETS GOOOOOO!!!" This beautiful show has been with me through thick and thin, and to me... it means hope. Hope for a better future. Always remember, Victory, is in a simple soul. GREENLIGHT VOL 10 i will deadass riot.

Tree saying nothing is truly lost everything can be restored was a major clue that Tree/Blacksmith was the higher level God. The Tree could break the Jabberwalker rule either way or send the cat to another world like the souls we saw flow past. It the fact that to her no one ever actually dies though and they go into next life with any emotional baggage removed even if it remembered dispassionately that makes her willing to let her children do stuff like kill off their first human race as a part of their learning experience. Ever heard something along the line that God can't be Good and all powerful? Took me a few decades to realize that just a straw man argument as it sets up a God but denies an afterlife and claims current life most important instead of the illusion status religion assigns. But Religion claims Gods and a afterlife thus totally changes the argument. Thus from many religions point of view this life a computer simulation something you practice on and when it over the emotions fade away after all the scaring to the brain goes away when that brain is no more. Thus like the Blacksmith occasionally a tad of help sending RWBY back to where needed but otherwise content to let stuff play out as the Tree/Blacksmith considers what the living think vital not that important.
Fat Thor: You are still worthy. Broken Ruby: You are enough. The CRWBY have fixed their degradation since after volume 5. Every character got love and an arc, the journey/transition was more important than the big scenes, and nobody was pushed to the backdrop/had their moments taken over by RWBY. I hope they can see this feedback and response from the fandom, and make the final volumes equally uplifting and devastating. (I believe Monty left outlines for 12 volumes. I hope the final 3 are the Vacuo season, the Beacon Relic’s uncovery, and the Brothers’ Judgement Finale).
The last two episodes remind me of the story of Odin going to yggdrasil, hanging himself on it and ending up gaining mystical knowlege. It represented new life after ragnorok, sorta like how this volume starts after a whole disaster. Ruby is Odin in this story and the tree is just straight up THE WORLD TREE from the story. Idk if the writers thought of that when this came out but God it fits really well. I gotta do more research on this
as much as i love "red like roses" coming back. it was the reprise of "this will be the day" at the very end that made me tear up watching this. loved this volume
I don't really watch reaction videos, because if it isnt anything similar to how I felt it would feel disappointing. But that isnt the case here, not only did we share the same reactions but also that sense of perfection of the final episode. My heart was so full and complete afterwards, it was so euphoric for me, and to see that same thing for you made me really excited and happy for you. This was an outstanding episode and like you said was one of the best finales RWBY has had thus far. Plus I saw four things that I was happy about: 1. OG Ruby returned 2. More insight on Summer and her last mission. Plus more Summer Rose 3. More lore dropped about the Brothers and how the tree is the center of the RWBY universe 4. Just more of The Blacksmith because she was one of my personal favourite characters from this volume as well as the RWBY franchise in general because she's that type a character I love; one surrounded in mysteries yet can act as a guide and give some words of wisdom when needed. I'm convinced that the tree in the Ever After is a reference to the Tree of Ygdrassil and that could lead to possibly more worlds existing in their universe. Only time will tell if we will learn more on what happens with that. This was an outstanding episode as well as a perfect end for this Volume and I can't wait to see what happens in Volume 10. P.s. it was so nice to hear "Red Like Roses" again...its my favourite song from the RWBY franchise.
Sooo......Did team RWBY work on that all team attack along with the 2x combos moves back in V2 and they had just stashed it for a rainy day since they never had the need to use it or together focusing on one enemy, or was this a "Hey let's pull this out of our ass and see if it works" lol

I learned about this show because a friend send me a clip of rubys first fight at the dust shop in episode 1. I don't usually watch any anime and I found it really cringe and weird. But after giving it a shot now Im here waiting for vol 10 xD
When Ruby gave up her emblem, she said "it holds a mother's promise." When Summer left it behind, her promise was "I love you, just the way you are." Ruby only got the emblem back when she remembered that promise and truly _believed_ it. The first time I thought "people care about me" and actually believed it, I just broke down. So. Of all the little details of Ruby's ascension, I think that's my favourite.
wait, one thing i noticed. at the end, in the remnant. was there a floating location? is that Atlas before it's fall, or the Amity Colosseum? but e Amity fell, how long back are we?
Love..and patience to see things through to the end. One brother wiped humanity out in an instant, and both of them abandoned their work because of one incident. The first act shows no love from darkness. The 2nd act shows no patience from either of them. They really were poor creators.
To be honest when I saw this episode to me it redeemed the whole season cuz ever since I saw episode 7 I was actually a little nervous to watch the last three episodes so I had one of my friends to watch them for me let me know the last three episodes will be good bad or okay
After episode 8 I was TERRIFIED with how they would handle the end of Ruby’s arc. Ruby’s always been a comfort character for me so I was so happy when I saw they stuck the landing with this ending
@@ave_r_ie Ep.8 really scared me. Re-watching it still makes me feel a certain way because it brings back some old scars my body still remembers even if my mental state moved past it. I was really scared that the ending was not going to be good enough, and having to be stuck with these thoughts for a week was pretty rough. I convinced myself that the ending HAD to be done perfectly. So once Ep. 9 came out I became hopeful, and when Ep. 10 came out it was indeed perfect. 💯👌
For me, the best episode of the whole RWBY was the end of the day when the Beacon fell and I realized that the whole show and all it's season up to that point... were just the end of the beginning. The introduction time was over, and the whole world is now open for countless new stories in that setup RWBY created. And then a second later the title of the episode drops... "The end of the beginning". btw. I think that Ruby cosplay really suits you. It works well with your face I think. Also, I enjoyed your reactions. Honest, expressive, and you didn't miss the little details that I'm not sure if I noticed the first time I saw this episode. I wonder how many volumes there are left to end the story. It feels like now that the character development is finished, we should at most get 3 more volumes for the conclusion, if they rush it, it would be just one final volume. I hope for two. With no more prolonging. I still feel bad for Sun. Blake and Yang getting together totally turns him into a dead weight in the show with no real ending... Feels bad. I wonder if it was a decision made under social pressure of recent years, a social statement, or if it really was what Monty had in mind... I just never noticed any hints for other possible story progressions for Sun than to be with Blake. And Yeng always felt like a best friend and not someone that interested in romance. A different type of love. I hope I just missed something and there is some alternative plotline for Sun, but I'm afraid they will just create something random in rush. We are finally getting close to the truth behind Summer's disappearance. I believe that the words "Guide my way" refers not to just finding a way in the tree in this season, but also to guide Ruby's way in the whole mission that took away Summer. Something as big as the first part of Red like roses directly mentioned butt show, never reached any explanation. Till this volume.

RWBY Vol. 9 is for the people that truly appreciate it's value. Not for those that don't, which is a bit unfortunate. But their negative opinions on why this volume is bad doesn't matter. This wasn't for them, it was for the people who needed Vol. 9 the most. With that, I can definitely say that it's changed me for the better too. I feel like I did 9 years ago when I was first starting to experiment with my identity, with the confidence of someone attempting to establish themselves as a leader people could rely on and someone I could be proud of. But I'm not the same person I was back then. I know who I am supposed to be for myself now, not who I might try to emulate because I don't fit anywhere. Before this volume, I knew who I was, but that was despite everyone else. I was basically just neutral. I didn't care what people thought of me, so I didn't care of what I thought of me. It didn't matter. In fact, I didn't even like myself either. I escaped into books and video games with stories. I would read books and give each character (regardless of gender) a voice based on what I'd think their personality was and performed them for myself. (Still do!) Because that was my only opportunity to "be" these people, and not myself. I guess you could say it was my version of Cosplay. But this Volume allowed me to try and begin loving myself again. Which was something I'd thought I lost several years ago and wasn't sure I could ever get back. So from the bottom of my heart, thank you RWBY. and thank you fandom for enjoying it so much that we made it to Vol. 9. I truly appreciate everyone who worked on the series, and the fans who support it by loving it as much as I do. ❤🤍🖤💛

And the final shot of Vacuo proves that Ruby's message from volume 8 was heard. There are Airships from Mistral, Vacuo, some survivors from Atlas, even Vale in addition to Amity Colosseum. Ruby united the world against Salem.
Almost. The power of the call lies in Ruby checking out many different identities, feeling their burdens, feeling lost, and THEN the call from her own weapon was a tremendous relief, she was desperate to hear it.
This Volume only being 10 episodes reminds me of the early days of RWBY when they had limited resources but still managed to create an amazing experience.

It ll always melt my heart how much of Somewhat (little new life) appereance is based on Ruby! also, found your channel during this volume and its has been a great time to see your reaction and thoughts throught out the vol! Hope to see more in general!
Something I noticed about the smithy was that the wooden carvings on the table all represent someone the Tree made. Yet the single outlier there is a pink crystal. If you pay attention as the screen whites out with Ruby leaving to Vacuo, you can see the Blacksmith reach for it, to start working on it. That crystal is absolutely representative of Neo, and considering that the Tree can send people to *when* they are needed (V9 has been 3-4 days at the absolute most in the Ever After, yet for Amity to be repaired and in the skies above Vacuo at the end, either weeks or even *months* have passed on Remnant), time in the Ever After clearly doesn't have to match Remnant at all. So when we consider that the Tree is getting to work on Neo's Ascension literally seconds after RWBYJ left, we might be seeing Neo again sooner than we think.
Have to say that you’re one of the better commentators for RWBY since you express yourself so honestly. That’s a sign of bravery and strength. Just subscribed to the channel.

To me,this show is everything. I discovered it in January or February last year and I originally didn't wanna give it a shot cause I saw the animation of the first episode and I noped out immediately. Later on,I decided to give it a chance and I've never looked back. I've enjoyed every second of it and I enjoy it more and more as it goes on. This show means everything to me because I discovered it when I reaally needed it and I've grown attached to the characters. I nearly cried a lot of times and it's been a wild ride. I can barely wait for more.
Edit: hell,it may sound odd but there are times I genuinely listen to the "I may fall" track when I need the courage and will to do certain things. It means so much to me and I'm glad to hear it means this much to atleast 1 other person

I just randomly stumbled upon your work here today looking up reactions to the latter half of the volume where it gets V3 levels of heavy. I love that your channel has found growth and a place amongst the community. 🤍
I know this is going on quite long 😅 but I know you stated how much Ruby’s personal journey this volume was a real mirror to you and others have already shared this sentiment but I’d like to say it too.
Just keep going. 💕 life can really really beat us, all in our own ways, but the common thread is struggle. We can all see it in one another, the pain in the eyes that one who knows the struggle can see. But tomorrow the sun will rise and you can meet the next day with a fresh face and a fresh start.
What you do is enough, like you, you’re here for a reason. Cliche I know I know, but the people that love you wouldn’t trade your place in the world for anything. You are so strong. More powerful than you may be able to see at times. 6 years of therapy proves that. The act of seeking help and sticking with it. That’s strength.
I just wanted you to hear (see) those words, because we all deserve to know we have value. Keep going, keep growing. 💪
It's weird how people were expecting Ruby to change into "someone else"
It fun to speculate. As a over 50 year consumer of media I have not seen a main character eliminated which is changing into someone else permanent except when a live actor left the show at this point in a story. A fake main killed early or main killed in final climax or after it yes I seen it otherwise no.
Exceptions the anyone can die ensemble dramas Game of Thrones for example. Declared before the start Tragedy which are rare.
Thus based on experience I thought her actually losing her memories and personality, Death as Neo correctly assumed extremely unlikely. A temporary change into Summer possible but nothing permanent.
Characters dying or leaving the show effectively often permanently loses some of the audience this is one reason you don't se that many deaths unless the audience knows from the beginning anyone can die or it's a Tragedy which is why Shakespeare advertised his Tragedy as Tragedy.
Still if like me with Attack on Titan you remove all the characters I really like you lose me which they did. Double as I hated Erin and the cool characters were single note low personalities. That fairly rare I like tragedy and anyone can die stories normally.

Great reaction! Also I have a crazy theory that I only just realized from watching your reaction. We saw Summer reading the everafter before she left. What if during her final mission she at some point was transported to the everafter and some point will appear during the final fight with Salem. Now hear me out the reason I think this is that 1: only a small portion of the everafter was explored meaning there are other parts that weren’t ( summer may have been in those other parts) or 2: The blacksmith told team RWBY it isn’t where the are going but when they are needs most. This leaves the plausibility that summer could reappear but only when she’s need most.( we’ve already seen this volume deal with going back in time or reverting peoples age) so it’s not impossible for something weird like that to happen with Summer)
Caution: this gets dark. It's also not my own idea but cobbled together from various thoughts from others.
The most plausible scenario I currently have, now that we know Raven went along, is that Summer did defeat Salem, but then she came back (which is how Raven knows about Salem's invulnerability). And then (this is the really dark part) Salem turned Summer into the first Hound (as Ruby guessed), and Raven was forced to kill her.
Your words of love for the show, i feel are perfect to summarize how the whole fandom feels.
What gets me about that final shot is the mix of Vale, Atlas, and Mistral ships, as well as the Amity Coliseum all together on the horizon - Ruby's call to arms worked. The people of Remnant heard her and came together, just in time. Their crazy plan WORKED. Atlas the city was lost yes, but countless lives were saved. They couldn't save everyone but every life they did save was worth the struggle.
i won't deny the fact the music for this episode gave me multiple rounds of goosebumps

Understand how RWBY has shaped your life and personality. For me it was Star Trek (the original crew) when I was growing up. The stories that humanity will overcome our hate and distrust of others to create a better future for all made me who I am today. Yea, born in ‘62 and anime fan since ‘85. RWBY fan since day one when I saw the first episode (didn’t see the color trailers until much later). So, some theories of mine of what probably happened to Summer
Seeing as this probably was a Salem suicide mission and they likely faced a crap ton of Grimm
1. Raven's dust blade broke(Or however that thing works), and she made a new one as she was picking out her next target, and as she did and went to go slash at it, Summer came in last second and got the target not knowing Raven was there and Raven slashed and killed her by accident (So a Ruby/Weiss Vs Beowolf pack V1 moment)
2. They got out numbered and Raven used her semblance so Qrow could swoop in via portal and save Raven, not knowing Summer was with her, as he thought it was her and their clan and when Qrow was able to transform back to human, he had notice Summer, but it was took late. This was also Raven showing she had a "Save you only once" clause for everyone on her team and Yang and Summer had used hers some other time
3. Summer got fatally wounded and Raven could've saved her by using her semblance to get a portal out of there, but Summer did a Penny and told Raven to leave her as Raven's time to escape was running out
4. Salem captured them both and she forced Raven to watch as she killed Summer and turn her into a Grimm (If Ruby's assumption from V8 turn out to be true) which is why Raven is so distant from Tai, Yang and Ruby, because she doesn't want to tell them what she saw

I don't know what to say about the episode itself. It went in every way I predicted it would (or did I have inside knowledge? Dun dun dun).
I predicted back in Volume 8 that the rallying cry Ruby made with Amity would unite the world since it panned to everyone. The constant references to Summer made it obvious she was going to show up at some point and the scene with Herb when RWBY was facing themselves made me know this was the arc where Ruby would face her personal challenges just like Yang and Blake and Weiss did in earlier volumes.
Based on the way this ends it would not surprise me if Volume 10 concluded the series since almost all major plot points other then dealing with Salem have basically been covered now. They could make more then one more Volume but I worry about the show dragging on for too long and losing it's value if it just fills time for the sake of it (which CRWBY never have done up til now so I don't expect they will).
Summer maiden and two more realics maybe Volume 11

And yeah I remember the Buffy finale. That last season at least for me felt a bit rushed like both the actors and the crew just wanted it to be done.

I near certain it will be green lit. They don't order a second run of print comic Crossover and a two part Crossover movie for a show on the bubble about to be canceled.
They did work out this Crunchyroll deal which is Sony not Warner Brothers so they have to hash out a broadcasting deal. But even if they cannot that does not mean RWBY over it just means it gets put back on Rooster Teeth or another anime or comic outfit.

Ruby seeing little again was probably the best scene for me. to think from the start of the volume little questioned Ruby what she was to which she didn't have a proper answer up until the finale. and since little accended she doesn't know what she really was so she asks Ruby because she knew what she was its just WOW imma cry for a sec.
all in all were all proud of ruby for who she is cuz she was already enough for all of us. I was literally preparing myself to have a summer/ruby attitude change and look but I'm glad we didn't get that!

As ive just now found your channel, im too late to make a submission, but i would like to leave a message of what RWBY means to me.
As like you, ive been a fan since the early days. I started watching while the tail end of volume 2 was being released, and this show captivated me beyond what i couldve originally expected. I watched it evolve, grow, change and deepen in so many beautiful ways, i waited, year and year, for each volume, and eqch steals my heart in such a way i continue rewatching throughout the remainder of the year until the next volume. I cant name a single show that has been able to snatch my soul quite like rwby has.
As ive grown alongside the show, i remember getting home on friday night after school in elementary school and waiting eagerly for saturday morning, to catch the next episode. I remember my audible screams at PvP, PvC, YvA, my parents yelling at me to quiet down.
I remember getting to see adam get both ends of blakes sword, and screaming "LETS GOOOOOO!!!"
This beautiful show has been with me through thick and thin, and to me... it means hope.
Hope for a better future.

Plot twist: The tree allows the Cat to come back as it deemed its death a Neo kill and not a Jabberwalker kill
Tree saying nothing is truly lost everything can be restored was a major clue that Tree/Blacksmith was the higher level God. The Tree could break the Jabberwalker rule either way or send the cat to another world like the souls we saw flow past.
It the fact that to her no one ever actually dies though and they go into next life with any emotional baggage removed even if it remembered dispassionately that makes her willing to let her children do stuff like kill off their first human race as a part of their learning experience.
Ever heard something along the line that God can't be Good and all powerful? Took me a few decades to realize that just a straw man argument as it sets up a God but denies an afterlife and claims current life most important instead of the illusion status religion assigns. But Religion claims Gods and a afterlife thus totally changes the argument. Thus from many religions point of view this life a computer simulation something you practice on and when it over the emotions fade away after all the scaring to the brain goes away when that brain is no more.
Thus like the Blacksmith occasionally a tad of help sending RWBY back to where needed but otherwise content to let stuff play out as the Tree/Blacksmith considers what the living think vital not that important.

The CRWBY have fixed their degradation since after volume 5. Every character got love and an arc, the journey/transition was more important than the big scenes, and nobody was pushed to the backdrop/had their moments taken over by RWBY.
I hope they can see this feedback and response from the fandom, and make the final volumes equally uplifting and devastating. (I believe Monty left outlines for 12 volumes. I hope the final 3 are the Vacuo season, the Beacon Relic’s uncovery, and the Brothers’ Judgement Finale).

The last two episodes remind me of the story of Odin going to yggdrasil, hanging himself on it and ending up gaining mystical knowlege. It represented new life after ragnorok, sorta like how this volume starts after a whole disaster. Ruby is Odin in this story and the tree is just straight up THE WORLD TREE from the story. Idk if the writers thought of that when this came out but God it fits really well. I gotta do more research on this
as much as i love "red like roses" coming back. it was the reprise of "this will be the day" at the very end that made me tear up watching this. loved this volume

But that isnt the case here, not only did we share the same reactions but also that sense of perfection of the final episode. This was an outstanding episode and like you said was one of the best finales RWBY has had thus far. Plus I saw four things that I was happy about:
1. OG Ruby returned
2. More insight on Summer and her last mission. Plus more Summer Rose
3. More lore dropped about the Brothers and how the tree is the center of the RWBY universe
4. Just more of The Blacksmith because she was one of my personal favourite characters from this volume as well as the RWBY franchise in general because she's that type a character I love; one surrounded in mysteries yet can act as a guide and give some words of wisdom when needed.
I'm convinced that the tree in the Ever After is a reference to the Tree of Ygdrassil and that could lead to possibly more worlds existing in their universe. Only time will tell if we will learn more on what happens with that. This was an outstanding episode as well as a perfect end for this Volume and I can't wait to see what happens in Volume 10.
P.s. it was so nice to hear "Red Like Roses" again...its my favourite song from the RWBY franchise.
Sooo......Did team RWBY work on that all team attack along with the 2x combos moves back in V2 and they had just stashed it for a rainy day since they never had the need to use it or together focusing on one enemy, or was this a "Hey let's pull this out of our ass and see if it works" lol

I learned about this show because a friend send me a clip of rubys first fight at the dust shop in episode 1. I don't usually watch any anime and I found it really cringe and weird. But after giving it a shot now Im here waiting for vol 10 xD

When Ruby gave up her emblem, she said "it holds a mother's promise." When Summer left it behind, her promise was "I love you, just the way you are." Ruby only got the emblem back when she remembered that promise and truly _believed_ it.
The first time I thought "people care about me" and actually believed it, I just broke down. So. Of all the little details of Ruby's ascension, I think that's my favourite.

Nope it the desert so it the next destination and clearly Amity got stable enough to at least not crash so it was moved over to this location.

To be honest when I saw this episode to me it redeemed the whole season cuz ever since I saw episode 7 I was actually a little nervous to watch the last three episodes so I had one of my friends to watch them for me let me know the last three episodes will be good bad or okay
After episode 8 I was TERRIFIED with how they would handle the end of Ruby’s arc. Ruby’s always been a comfort character for me so I was so happy when I saw they stuck the landing with this ending
@@ave_r_ie Ep.8 really scared me. Re-watching it still makes me feel a certain way because it brings back some old scars my body still remembers even if my mental state moved past it. I was really scared that the ending was not going to be good enough, and having to be stuck with these thoughts for a week was pretty rough. I convinced myself that the ending HAD to be done perfectly.
So once Ep. 9 came out I became hopeful, and when Ep. 10 came out it was indeed perfect. 💯👌

For me, the best episode of the whole RWBY was the end of the day when the Beacon fell and I realized that the whole show and all it's season up to that point... were just the end of the beginning. The introduction time was over, and the whole world is now open for countless new stories in that setup RWBY created. And then a second later the title of the episode drops... "The end of the beginning".
btw. I think that Ruby cosplay really suits you. It works well with your face I think.
Also, I enjoyed your reactions. Honest, expressive, and you didn't miss the little details that I'm not sure if I noticed the first time I saw this episode.
I wonder how many volumes there are left to end the story. It feels like now that the character development is finished, we should at most get 3 more volumes for the conclusion, if they rush it, it would be just one final volume. I hope for two. With no more prolonging.
I still feel bad for Sun. Blake and Yang getting together totally turns him into a dead weight in the show with no real ending... Feels bad. I wonder if it was a decision made under social pressure of recent years, a social statement, or if it really was what Monty had in mind... I just never noticed any hints for other possible story progressions for Sun than to be with Blake. And Yeng always felt like a best friend and not someone that interested in romance. A different type of love. I hope I just missed something and there is some alternative plotline for Sun, but I'm afraid they will just create something random in rush.
We are finally getting close to the truth behind Summer's disappearance. I believe that the words "Guide my way" refers not to just finding a way in the tree in this season, but also to guide Ruby's way in the whole mission that took away Summer. Something as big as the first part of Red like roses directly mentioned butt show, never reached any explanation. Till this volume.

I LOVE Monty Python! But sadly I don’t have any plans to do a part 2 of Ruby lines yet, maybe someday!
RWBY Vol. 9 is for the people that truly appreciate it's value. Not for those that don't, which is a bit unfortunate. But their negative opinions on why this volume is bad doesn't matter. This wasn't for them, it was for the people who needed Vol. 9 the most. With that, I can definitely say that it's changed me for the better too.
I feel like I did 9 years ago when I was first starting to experiment with my identity, with the confidence of someone attempting to establish themselves as a leader people could rely on and someone I could be proud of.
But I'm not the same person I was back then. I know who I am supposed to be for myself now, not who I might try to emulate because I don't fit anywhere.
Before this volume, I knew who I was, but that was despite everyone else. I was basically just neutral. I didn't care what people thought of me, so I didn't care of what I thought of me. It didn't matter.
In fact, I didn't even like myself either. I escaped into books and video games with stories. I would read books and give each character (regardless of gender) a voice based on what I'd think their personality was and performed them for myself. (Still do!)
Because that was my only opportunity to "be" these people, and not myself. I guess you could say it was my version of Cosplay.
But this Volume allowed me to try and begin loving myself again. Which was something I'd thought I lost several years ago and wasn't sure I could ever get back.
So from the bottom of my heart, thank you RWBY.
and thank you fandom for enjoying it so much that we made it to Vol. 9.
I truly appreciate everyone who worked on the series, and the fans who support it by loving it as much as I do.
