- In the twelth episode of Project Mildred, we show you how we prep & paint our cylinder head, we get a few deliveries and prep and paint some other components.
During the Covid lockdown of 2020 Lou & Pete decided to purchase a Morris Minor 1000 1961 1100cc. With no prior experience in vehicle restoration they decided to undertake a challenge unlike any other they had undertaken before. This is their journey. we also painted our engine British Racing green not the traditional BMC Green, whoops.

hi guys sorry again for the auto focus issues, as i have said in the past we filmed the videos as we went so the issue isnt fixed until about video 20, thanks for watching and putting up with it
Great video as all of your videos just bought a moggy myself and will doing loads of jobs on it great car’s I love the simplicity of them. Keep up the great work 👍
loving your videos. your slow and sure approach is sure to give you a great result.it will be fantastic at the end when you know you have reassembled every nut and bolt yourself.
Hope so!
Great job, looks amazing.
thanks it is looking great with the British Racing green
Hi new subscriber here. Great series so far. You mentioned a TH-cam channel by a Yorkshire chap doing a engine rebuild. Can't find the link in the description. Any chance you can post a link. Cheers 😁👍👌
Thats great thank you.
I'm no expert even thou I have a pickup, converted van and a 1964 saloon, but should you be painting inside the oil pump cover? Might be worth asking on the minor club forum. As if the paint comes off could block your oil ways. Right old moaner aren't I. All the best and keep up the good work.
Yes and yes
Great so far, but could you sort your camera focus, so annoying and spoils your vids
yer we have sorted this out but we are running behind in videos so you wont see a result untill about video 20, thanks for bearing with
It's your choice but why not buy the BMC engine paint original colour from Morris Minor specialist instead of Jeff Bezos.
Great work though
Just seen your next video where you say that you got BRG by mistake, oh well may as well use that now.
Filming and editing are very well done 👍👍👍
Good call!
plus racing green makes it go faster
Please please don't paint in side your engine parts.kevin
yer ive only done the oil pump cover and rocker cover
DON'T PAINT THE INSIDE!!!
yer ive only done the oil pump and rocker cover
@@projectmildred2940 Could flake off the inside ( It's metal that has been soaked in oil all it's life ) and block oilways.
