    I arrived yesterday from Salamanca and Ive tried Crema Catalana and Pasteis de Nata and im just addited and in love. This is the video a really needed, concise, not BS, straight to the point, perfect images, explanation, .....thaaaaaaank uou sdo much! i will make them today!

    Nancy, my hat's off to you my dear for making the dough from scratch. When I've made these I have always used puff pastry and never made the dough from scratch...good for you! I am so impressed with you....you look very young but you have mastered some very difficult recipes. Thank you for the recipe...love it!😊

    Just love them, thanks for the video Nancy. I will make them but I'm going to cheat a bit, I will use the store bought puff pastry because I'm lazy when it comes to making the pastry from scratch, beijinhos

    I tried this recipe & its delicious 😋! Glad its ingredients that's already in my frig. & pantry.
    Glad it doesn't require heavy cream cz I don't have that on hand.
    Great recipe!! ;)

    I bake mine at 450F. for 16-18 min. Some people make a big deal of baking them at 500-550F., so I baked them at 500F. this time for 16 min. All would've been fine had I not had the bright idea of putting them under the broiler for 4 min. I ended up with burned bottoms and tops that look dry and thick. BUT STILL DELICIOUS!

    Hello Nancy, this bring to memory the custard tarts I enjoyed in Lisboa & Fatima years ago. I really enjoyed the Portuguese foods & wines!!! Well try this recipe. Do you have an Italian Easter bread recipe or similar? Many Thanks

    Hi Nancy, thank you for sharing the recipe.
    At work I we use gas stoves which make its easier to cook the natas, Have you ever made them with an electric stove? is the temperature the same? I would like to try to make them at home.Thank you!

      Hi Maria. I've made the custard for the natas on an electric stove top. You can also make them in an electric stove oven. Place them on the top rack and you will need to leave them in for approximately 12 - 15 minutes. Keep an eye on them. Happy Baking!😊

    You are a lot braver than me. I am still watching a bunch of videos on making these egg custard tarts. The lamination process is intimidating for me. Kudos Jamie for giving it a go! Your lamination process looked great to me. Maybe when you cut two pieces per muffin tin you knocked the air out of pastry. When I saw Jamie Oliver take out a roll of store bought pastry to make his version of egg custard tart I stopped watching.

    Idk if I’m just not good but there is no way we use just 3/4 cup of water? My dough does not become sticky with only 3/4 cup of water! Nancy girl what am I doing wrong!! I had to add more water
