That would be a good buy .My wife works for the agriculture and forestry department. A gentleman who works with her told me that I should buy land there. That Muang Fuang is slated to become the next Vang Vieng. Because of the proximity to Vientiane.

Back in 2009, I had a chance to buy 5 acres for $7000 in Vang Vieng, right on the river also. 3 months later they sold it for 25,000. I miss my chance to be rich.

I was in Myanmar, just before covid hit, and these landscapes are very similar to Myanmar. You can't beat the chilled out feel of these rural areas. I am seriously considering visiting Laos in February, after watching your videos for the past year or so.

Todd, we'll be there in April and we'll definitely visit this area. I've seen enough of your videos to know that this is where we need to be. We're planning on heading to Luang Prabang for Pi Mai Lao also.

beautiful 3 rivers resort nice woodwork & accommodations.Nice having a restaurant/Pub on the river.Always working nicely with Neene&Todd.How does one buy a piece of land near the river without having a Lao?Can u buy as a corporation ty.Just as an investment to hold for say 5_10 years with no development.

I’m curious about something Todd, are you a Laos Resident or how do you retain your stay in Laos and if so how to and what to do to retain those days to stay? Please answer, I would greatly appreciated!
Being married to a Lao citizen allows me a spouse visa which is renewed every 12 months for 1,200,000 kip. About $80 US. This comes with a stay permit card also for the same price. Both of these lets me travel in and out of the country as often as I like during that 12 month period.
Those retired here who do not have a Lao spouse are mostly on a LA B2 visa (without the work permit). Need an agent to sponsor you to receive this.. Not difficult, and at a similar cost, maybe a little more.
