@@thepakspan me too! There is a lot of planing being done. I’m now at a stage where I need to stop overthinking it and just get everything needed and move. Your video is invaluable. Thank you so much
We’d say save as much as you can in Sweden and also give yourself a target of say e.g 2 years that you want to move in and establish a side hustle online…… In 2 years you’d have some sort of online income and enough to survive in Spain for a year or 2 from your savings.
You have done many videos looking at Malaga, the Golden Mile, Marbella and Estapona. When I visited Estepona, it seemed there was a lot of development as you traveled south towards Gibraltar. 10 to 15 km south of Estepona was under a lot of construction ….near the Bahia de Casares. Do you think this area will continue to develop and property values will continue to rise?
Absolutely! What’s happening is that Marbella’s prices were very high compared to the neighbouring areas but now Estepona has also risen and a lot of development is going on there with new Marina, starlite music city….. its creating its own gravitational pull rather than being an overflow of Marbella. Manilva and Casares are going to be next Estepona! Its just a matter of time.
@@thepakspan In time, I think it will continue past Manilva and continue down the coast. With the construction and development happening right now, in the next 18 months, the current developments will be completed. The number of cranes and building sites were unbelievable. I was there in April and it was amazing the number of developments is various stages of construction.
Moving next year after I retire and sell everything. I am taking my son and 3 dogs, thats it. Hoping to move anywhere from Mijas to Benalmadena. Praying it all works out
Exciting times 😀 Its a fantastic place to retire, bring up family, for young people, adventure seekers and pets….. basically for everyone! There will be challenges of course but, it’s definitely worth it. Best wishes for the move.
It truly is an amazing place…. The slow lifestyle is brilliant. We have definitely got those places on list for next year. This winter, we will be covering the Canaries and from Spring onwards we will be doing Valencia, Alicante and Benidorm ;) Stay tuned.
Really helpful video, thanks! Planning on moving to Marbella region in 2025 from London. Would you say your general happiness has improved since leaving London?
Absolutely! Forget everything…. We think every news, every study has still underestimated the importance of natural light and the exposure to the sun. Of course income has taken a big hit and the hardest bit has been the first year without friends and family which we have adjusted to as we have people visiting every other month. It does feel like we are out of the rat race and living now.
I would appreciate your opinion on the best investment option for both living and rental purposes. Should I consider Vivian Gardens, Capri, or another project?
Vanian and Capri are both in the same kind of area(not far from where we live actually), its a fantastic area for both living and investment. Future looks great with Starlite music world coming up not far from here. We are actually releasing next part of “Casa del sol” this Sunday and one of the properties is just opposite Capri. Vanian probably better for rentals as its closer to the coast and next to big American school.
Tough question for you but if you had to recommend one town/city, for a family of 4 moving from the Uk (3 and 4 year old kids) where would you suggest. We want plenty to do for the kids, somewhere that isn’t too quiet in the winter, near green space or parks. We are coming out soon and have a few weeks to do a road trip starting in Nerja and visiting all the popular towns right round to Cadiz. Potentially even trying out Seville and Valencia before we leave. Any recommendations? I work remotely and budget isn’t a huge factor
Sure….. If you are up for more Spanish than expat environment, we would say Costa de la luz(we have a video explaining each town). Places like Cadiz and El Puerto Santa Maria are still lively in Winters. Not sure about Seville, heat is brutal otherwise the city is absolutely gorgeous. Coming to Costa del Sol, we absolutely love Estepona as it has a very good balance of expats and locals along with nature, fantastic schools and Marbella 15 mins away. Does not look like a ghost town in winters. Further along the coast you have Benalmadena but can be too touristy with stag and hen dos etc. Nerja is gorgeous but a little isolated compared to the rest of the costa del sol. If you do visit Nerja, check out Almuñecar not far off but more authentic(check video on channel). We will be going to Valencia and Alicante next spring….. until then, we can’t really say much about that.
Hi, I'm from the UK myself and my wife + 2 young kids (2 y/o and 9 y/o) are looking at moving to Spain. I will want to commute back to the UK every 2 weeks for work while my family live there. What would be the best visa to be on
That has been a factor but prices have been going up all over the world. In case of Portugal, definitely because of foreign influence properties have gone up a lot.
We have this issue when recording at home due to marble flooring and have decided not to do so anymore. Hopefully you won’t have this issue in future videos.
This is so helpful and very much needed. Thank you guys x
Glad it was helpful! 😊 we hope you are able to move to Spain soon!

Moving to Malaga from Utah! I’m actually a Spain/US citizen! Even tho I never been to Spain..
Lucky you. I live in Sweden and I really want to move to Spain but because of difficulties finding a job there it's not happening just yet

Malaga is great, specially around Benalmádena and Marbella areas. Your Spanish through parents?
@@thepakspan my grandpa is, “thanks” to him I was able to get Spanish citizenship. I was told is 5 generations down ?

Interesting. Thank you. Please improve the sound of your videos. It sounds like you are in a huge hall.
🫣 We have a really bad echo in our living room, tried with a rug and software tweaks…… guess, we just have to find another location.
How can someone with a temporary EU residence move to Spain? Is it same as EU citizen?
Which EU country you have resident permit from and how ling is it valid for please?
@thepakspan Sweden and it's 3yrs residency
Life is enjoyable in spain right 👍
Thank you for your comment! Truly appreciate your positive vibes about Spain. It really is a wonderful place to live!
Europe is tiered of US UK immigrant that raised food and rental cost for local inhabitants

Estamos completamente de acuerdo.
Además aprender más idiomas no solo abre oportunidades laborales, pero también sociales 😊
