    We love Costa Del Sol and would love to retire there, but can you guys do Alicante, Benidorm..., and Valencia?

    • @thepakspan
      @thepakspan  27 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      It truly is an amazing place…. The slow lifestyle is brilliant.
      We have definitely got those places on list for next year.
      This winter, we will be covering the Canaries and from Spring onwards we will be doing Valencia, Alicante and Benidorm ;)
      Stay tuned.

    Really helpful video, thanks! Planning on moving to Marbella region in 2025 from London. Would you say your general happiness has improved since leaving London?

    • @thepakspan
      @thepakspan  หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Absolutely!
      Forget everything…. We think every news, every study has still underestimated the importance of natural light and the exposure to the sun.
      Of course income has taken a big hit and the hardest bit has been the first year without friends and family which we have adjusted to as we have people visiting every other month.
      It does feel like we are out of the rat race and living now.

    • @thepakspan
      @thepakspan  หลายเดือนก่อน

      We’d say save as much as you can in Sweden and also give yourself a target of say e.g 2 years that you want to move in and establish a side hustle online…… In 2 years you’d have some sort of online income and enough to survive in Spain for a year or 2 from your savings.

    I would appreciate your opinion on the best investment option for both living and rental purposes. Should I consider Vivian Gardens, Capri, or another project?

    • @thepakspan
      @thepakspan  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Vanian and Capri are both in the same kind of area(not far from where we live actually), its a fantastic area for both living and investment. Future looks great with Starlite music world coming up not far from here. We are actually releasing next part of “Casa del sol” this Sunday and one of the properties is just opposite Capri.
      Vanian probably better for rentals as its closer to the coast and next to big American school.

      Its a fantastic place to retire, bring up family, for young people, adventure seekers and pets….. basically for everyone!
      There will be challenges of course but, it’s definitely worth it.
      Best wishes for the move.

    Tough question for you but if you had to recommend one town/city, for a family of 4 moving from the Uk (3 and 4 year old kids) where would you suggest. We want plenty to do for the kids, somewhere that isn’t too quiet in the winter, near green space or parks. We are coming out soon and have a few weeks to do a road trip starting in Nerja and visiting all the popular towns right round to Cadiz. Potentially even trying out Seville and Valencia before we leave. Any recommendations? I work remotely and budget isn’t a huge factor

    • @manuelfg2902
      @manuelfg2902 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      As a spaniard, Valencia has everything........

    • @thepakspan
      @thepakspan  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Sure….. If you are up for more Spanish than expat environment, we would say Costa de la luz(we have a video explaining each town).
      Places like Cadiz and El Puerto Santa Maria are still lively in Winters.
      Not sure about Seville, heat is brutal otherwise the city is absolutely gorgeous.
      Coming to Costa del Sol, we absolutely love Estepona as it has a very good balance of expats and locals along with nature, fantastic schools and Marbella 15 mins away. Does not look like a ghost town in winters.
      Further along the coast you have Benalmadena but can be too touristy with stag and hen dos etc.
      Nerja is gorgeous but a little isolated compared to the rest of the costa del sol.
      If you do visit Nerja, check out Almuñecar not far off but more authentic(check video on channel).
      We will be going to Valencia and Alicante next spring….. until then, we can’t really say much about that.

    Golden Visa has already been cancelled, so this is no longer an option. Possibly Digital Nomad Visa will be cancelled next because of the critical situation in the housing market. Many popular places in Spain, like Malaga and Barcelona, are overcowded and and the anti tourist and anti expat movement is rising.

    • @hunger4jsutice
      @hunger4jsutice หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It has not yet been canceled

    • @thepakspan
      @thepakspan  หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      They have announced to cancel golden visa in the future but still open until they announce when it stops.
      The anti tourist protests are not targeted towards tourists(although they are affected) but rather towards the authorities to change laws to stop multimillion companies buying up 100s of properties to turn them into airbnbs and make them out of reach for locals

      @@thepakspan- this is the same thing that has happened across the United States and many legislators are trying to work on laws that will force the corporations to sell off some of the houses they own.

    • @AGILISFPV

      What about moving to northern Spain where it’s less populated? What’s the reality of buying a house there? Here in the US buying a house is next to impossible.

    • @thepakspan

      That has been a factor but prices have been going up all over the world.
      In case of Portugal, definitely because of foreign influence properties have gone up a lot.

    En España ya puedes ser millonario y comprar una mansión en Marbella que si no sabes el idioma jamás serás incluido en la sociedad, el idioma es lo más importante, no nos gusta que nos hablen en inglés y los ingleses no hacen ningún esfuerzo por aprender otros idiomas, se creen que pueden ir a cualquier país hablando inglés, pero en España no. Sobre todo es por respeto.. a mí no se me ocurre ir a vivir a Londres sin hablar inglés...... y por cierto las medicinas en España son muchísimo más baratas que en el Reino Unido.
