I will never forget that night on 6th street in Austin, TX when I was at a small bar, 60-80 people max on the dance floor, and the DJ announces the surprise guest "The Chemical Brothers". I lost my shit and jammed so hard all night right up against the stage, all for the cost of a $10 cover fee. Ahhh the memories.

Bro. I was super lucky. I worked at a club in London and they headlined for millennium eve, year 2000! I was paid to watch them! They dropped hey boy, hey girl at midnight with loads of pyrotechnics! What a party! The memories indeed!

What a moment when that extended intro of Hey Boy, Hey Girl kicks in during Do It Again/Get Yourself High....just incredible, then the beat drops and it sends the crowd into fever pitch. With the amazing visuals, it gives me goosebumps everytime i watch this.....plus i wasn't even there.

Prodigy were on the Friday, Primal Scream with a new overlapping bass player signed on deadline day called Mani. Free transfer from the Stone Roses in the dance tent on Saturday. Everybody goes on about the lights going out when radiohead were playing but it wasn'ty anything special really, The Chems were immense
