Quite possibly the greatest set ever at Glasto. Absolutely mind blowing.
Yes it was, I was there near the front soaking it up and buzzin like crazy. Never forget that night....Never....
CB headlined Future Music at Randwick Racecourse in Syd 2007. It was unbelievable. Not as much of a crowd as Glosenberry, but they put on some performance. The laser lights was epic. The had the clown from the movie IT, miming their songs on a mega screen.

@@jakobrebekithink part of me is still there 😂
@@niamhbrowne6581I was there. Sooo good.
Not gonna lie. The filming/editing crew is killing it this year!
You can thank the BBC Tories for that Twigz.
Glad someone said it
uncle bbc dont disspointed it!
I never for one second thought you were gonna lie.
With all the advances in technology in over 20 years since this was first released, it’s still hard to beat the original version
Been going to Glastonbury for 25 years, this is arguably the best set I've ever witnessed
Lesssgo Bro, respect ✊
I saw them in 2000 and they still hold that honor with me as well... just absolute fucking bangers from end to end, and they're actually performing the tracks. Not just hitting "play" on a deck.
Epic set, I still loved 2011 more than this for some reason.. I dunno what it was. Maybe weather improving as day had gone on!
my 17 year old daughter watched it. next to me. afterwards she said "that's theatre dad."
First timer this year! Can’t wait! 🕺🏽
The BBC coverage of this was absofuckinglutely NAILED ON
Only in Europe you can feel the real vibe of electronic music, there's no better place than Europe.
YES
YA..1000%
too many damn restrictions in the united states. and they call it a free country
XTC
In your opinion 🙄
What’s amazing is if you listen to The Chemical Brothers playing at Glastonbury in 2000, the crowd reaction is practically the same. Just goes to show that tunes like this never die.
The crowd in 2000 was more audible in the mix and they fucking ERUPTED. But from what I read, it was also double capacity because people broke down the fencing around the perimeter... so that probably contributed to the noise too lol
Absolutely amazing that 2 guys can light it up like this
more relevant then too@@Zeta9966
Word 🫡😮💨
I love the fact that most of the people are living the moment and not recording with their cell phones #glastorocks
That's what got my attention
Too strong to cam!😜
Everyone's batteries had ran out more like... But I love the positivity!
@@FPL_Drago hahahahaha touché
Some acts just make you dance
I am 57 and still can’t get enough seen them 8 times live and going again this year Manchester here we go
For those who haven't lived a Chems experience yet, you gotta make a gift to yourselves and attend in one of their upcoming gigs...Every year goes more banging than ever due to the high class visuals I'd say..
More than worthy
I'm going to travel to whatever place they are playing after this Corona bullshit ends and finally see them live for the first time after all these years.
booked cork 2022
ALSO - BRING EARPLUGS! Not cause the music is bad by any means, but I've had to leave their set before because some of the high pitch noises were so loud it physically hurt to be there :(
Spot on - just bought tickets for Oct gig in Leeds….can’t wait, it’ll be my first CB gig!
I love it when everyone throws it all away and express themselves…it’s a beautiful thing
0:00 - Ears prick up, reality dawns, you know what's coming.1:00 - Breathing erratic, head starts to ring, heart starts to race, spine starts to straighten.1:30 - Breath being held, eyes closed, fists clenched. Blue touch paper lit.1:38 - LIFT OFF.What an absolute belter and a total classic. The energy is just unreal. Those who know really know they know.
This song is so full of energy that it brings a damn tear to my eye from pure visceral extacy.
Omfg, its 2023, im 59 yrs young now and i still get goosebumps listening to this ❤
This takes me back to seeing them at a festival years ago. Fucking amazing and they've still got it.
The Chemical brothers are a huge part of me growing up. Listening to their albums on the day of the release, hearing them in a nightclub for the first time, watching them live at their smaller gigs and then watching them at the best festival in the world, Glastonbury. The visuals, the re-inventing of their songs and their delivery is unreal.
Saw them 21 years ago at the V festival, they're still killing it! What a great show!
Still an absolute banger . 20 years on😉
BEST MOMENT OF GLASTO!! I will never forget this whole set
Wow
You know it's coming, you know it's going to drop, yet you still get goose bumps and explode into dance
What a set. Britain really does produce some talent. Huge shout from the US.
I'm also loving other various UK electronica based acts like
Faithless, Burial, The Prodigy, Underworld, Unkle, Massive Attack,
Orbital, Leftfield, Stereo Mcs, The Streets, Goldie, The Bug, AllFlaws
Christ you Europeans love those flares. That crowed looks like it's on fire. Fucking awesome!!!!!
oh god this song is timeless
This was the 💥. The crowd and and atmosphere for these legends was unbelievable. Pyramid stage next year???
Still a phenomenal piece of music and visuals after some 20 years!
Best ever drop in electronic music history 🎧
Its that first minute or so that gets me :D
No it isn't..
In your opinion
@@LeighWinspear alright pussy
2nd best after Smack My Bitch Up or at least comes close to beat it.
THE LIGHTING, THE PHOTOGRAPHY I CANTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT
I never completely got the Chemical Brothers until I saw them live last year. It all clicked the instant they started playing. When the beat of this timeless classic dropped I was completely lost in the moment.
So glad the Chemical Brothers are a sort of "upgraded" window to the 90s rave scene. I was born in 2000 but thanks to them I was still able to experience the feeling of one of my favourite periods in music history. It goes without saying that their new stuff is amazing too.
I accidentally pressed a button whilst watching this infamous destruction and it sent me to a place I had never been before.
I just cannot stop watching this
I need to dance like
"Hey girls...
Hey boys...
Superstar DJ's...
HERE WE GO!"
This makes me SICK with jealousy. You will never forget seeing the chemical brothers. Its haunting. If you haven't seen them, GO! They know what you want and they'll give it to you.
Is it for them to press PLAY on file marked "glastonbury set"?
@@meu02136 AND the light show, thank you very much!
Fact 👍🏻
Nice!
I'm gonna see them November at The Dome, Sydney. Total opposite of this for venue. I have very high hopes.
I always wanted to be one of those guys holding that red flame dancing and jumping !!!!!!!
It's called a f l a r e
@@oscarodell914 thanks man, a flare is what I mean, on the shoulders of a friend who can carry me for some good minutes, cool
So - just do it ;)
@@nadajniczek that's right, why not? I'll let you know if I can find a flare, I'm going to a festival with Modeselektor, that would be a great gig to do it.
Hard same.
What a freaking awesome crowd!
Would love have been there! Gives me goosebumps everytime I watch it!!!!
The beat for gotta keep on at the start of this is so sick! Love it.
I also love the beat for Hey Boy Hey Girl at the start of Eve of Destruction
all time classic..
Who in the hell hit thumbs down.? This is a classic. Sorry your Molly dealer was unavailable or something.
"Molly?" Fuck off you thick Uneducated American muppet.

Can only imagine how good this gig must have been in the UK summer night time. Saw them in the Hydro. Awesome
My god I wish I was there to hear this drop!
I'm looking forward to seeing you guys in Fuji rock!!
best set of the weekend... it was incredible!
I remember back in the day, when sneaking into Glastonbury was the norm, climbing over the fence to this tack belting out - a magical moment..... 😃
THIS WAS THE BEST MOMENT OF MY LIFE AAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Im glad the kids get to hear what electronic music was like right before they were born.
Track of the century 💯👍🔥😍
Happy that these guys took over for The Prodigy :)
Nobody else could have filled in better
I had no idea
Neither did I.
They didn't take over, as far as I'm aware both were booked to play the festival.
@@nimble5692 No else today. Pendulum could've done it while they were active.
And that's why Glasto > Coachella
Love The Chemical Brothers 🌍❤ Nice video 🎥
awesome really really awesome crowd respect
Isso é que é bom meu Deus!!!!
*Brasil* 🇧🇷 2019
Best part of the set I think was “dig your own hole” mixed with “under the influence”
Still an absolute banger . 20 years on😉

That shot at 1:38 is perfection
This brings back memories ...
They are amazing x
Как же я их Обожаю 😍😍😍🔥🔥🔥❤❤❤💙💙💙
Still a classic. Oh to go back to Turnmills for a Social.... Happy heady days.
I’m sure they played Headstart @ turnmills one Saturday back in 97/98???
Mark Grainge Wasn’t Headstart on a Friday? Memory is a bit fuzzy. The last social at Turnmills was, I believe, in 1999? Not sure but I was there - last tune played was You’re Wondering Now by the Specials. Best club ever.
It was a real treat when Tom and Ed were recording as they’d bring in acetates (when good old vinyl was the medium) of new stuff to give it a spin. I remember the first time they dropped the Private Psychedelic Reel and the roof nearly blew off. Immense.
Got to go in the DJ room once when Jon Carter was playing. He was a man old college roommate of one of my housemates - wild times.
I remember once I was skinning up and a bouncer came over to me and I thought shiiiiit I was gonna he kicked out. He looked all serious and then cracked a huge smile, gave me a hug and said “you’re fine mate.” It was THAT type of club. We truly were spoiled. A place where you could bump into Zoe Ball, Tim Burgess, Noel Gallagher or Primal Scream just having a laugh like the rest of us, and no egos. I feel blessed.
Gallery was Friday
@@markgrainge8198 Headstart must have been after the Social stopped then. It was wasn't it? Or did the Social stop then come back for a last hurrah? It's doesn't matter... to quote them.
Xfm launched Headstart in about 96/97 when I started Uni down here. It was all geared towards BigBeat. They had some amazing acts playing like Underworld, Leftfield, Fatboy Slim etc. I don’t know what year it ended.
Saw them for the third time in Manchester a couple of weeks ago, they were awesome, the hairs on my neck still stand up when it detonates at 1.37......!
I was in that crowd best set of the weekend for me
I remember, they open with this song, it was AWESOME
When Jo does that little wiggle dance it still gives me stirrings now!! 14 again!!
