Construction of the first segments of D-walls within the M6 project

    Work on the new M6 metro line is in full swing for the Southern Section, Lot 1.1. Among the many site activities in the design and build of the structural works, prior to excavation with TBMs (Tunnel Boring Machines) - the machines that will dig the underground tunnels - the execution of the diaphragm walls is a key stage.
    The new metro line is configured in two sections and will comprise a total of 12 new stations. The Southern Section, 1 Mai - Tokyo, (Lot 1.1) comprises a joint station with the current M4 line and 6 new stations: Pajura, Expoziției, Piața Montreal, Gara Băneasa, Aeroport Băneasa, Tokyo. The Northern Section, Tokyo - Otopeni Airport, of Lot 1.2 comprises the stations: Washington, Paris, Brussels, Otopeni, Ion I.C. Brătianu and Otopeni Airport.
    M6 metro Line: 1 Mai - Otopeni has as its main objective to serve Otopeni International Airport, linking it to the North Railway Station of Bucharest. The area of the metro line - Magistrala 6, 1 Mai - Otopeni, connecting the metro network to Henri Coandă International Airport will develop along the N-NV direction of the Capital and will cross Sector 1 and Ilfov, namely the following districts: Grivița, Bucureștii Noi, Piața Presei Libere, Băneasa, Privighetorilor and the town of Otopeni.
