I’ve had mine for 8 years. I’ve worn it every single day. It’s on its original battery and has had an unbelievably tough life but is only now starting to show its age. I’m just going to buy another one. Toughest watch out there I’d say. Bargain.
Just get a new case and strap… I kinda think it’s nice to give it a new lease of life… my GA110 has been through literal war zones and combat tracing with me and after 12 years I got a crack on the strap - £15 later it’s back in service with its Zulu strap. Just ordered this gx56bb - this will accompany my never worn B1000GA and my 300M Seamaster which has never been babied.
I got this watch today and am certainly impressed with its size! Easy to set up but I found the auto light option fiddly to activate perhaps being a new watch the buttons are a little "tight". I saw one US review claim this watch used atomic signals but I think that was wrong?

in the manual, chlorine or salt water can afftect the resin in the long run. so make sure to rinse it with unchlorinated tap water or drinking water after swimming
let the display face upwards in Direct Sunlight, submerged in a glass of water. for the whole day 8hrs exposure will increase it to one bar. glass of water so that the watch doesnt over heat and the battery wont leak.

A mention about the auto EL. If the solar panel detects enough light it will not light up when you raise your arm. A power saving measure.

Thanks for watching, it does not have atomic timekeeping, you set your primary time zone correctly and all other align to that time zone

The battery holds a shit charge, my watch is always "low"
My always high. Check the battery, maybe needs to be replaced.
Get a solar charger. It’s very hard to get a full charge, even after many many hours in the sunlight.
