Because we haven't replaced key players and aren't able to get deals like Caicedo over the line. We literally have no midfield right now. The only midfielders at the club currently are Enzo, Gallagher and Chukwumeka who are all under 23. We need a quality GK and striker and maybe a CB after Fofana's injury.

He definitely means that Poch resembles Chelsea in his demeanour. Well spoken, strong character, looks the part. Think of the best Chelsea managers: Mourinho, Conte, Ancelotti, Tuchel. The club at it’s core needs one of these managers to thrive. We’ve seen it work, and we’ve seen the mess that happens when we try appoint a manager that doesn’t fit this description. Poch definitely ‘is Chelsea’ by all accounts so far. Let’s see if it translates on the pitch.

I looked at Chelseas pre season team. I knew like 4 of them. I saw Kepa, T. Silva, Enzo and Sterling…😂 (I know there were others, but I mean with any kind of significance). There were 5 keepers, and even their main man sucks. The rest of them, no one knows who are. Forwards looked awful. Auba and Lukaku wasn’t even there, I think. As Rory says, who would even wanna go there now. Hopeless. If they don’t get anyone in and they fire Poch for it going badly for a while by september, they could in ALL honestly… be relegated. I had the unpleasure of watching him play for my side United for a while. He’s a solid say 6-10th premier league striker but he’s nowhere near the highest level. His touch is awful, he constantly looses possession and he needs 3/4 good chances to score. In all the big games he goes missing but it’s just because he’s playing against top level players and he hasn’t got the quality. I lost respect for him also when I heard Mina Riola was his agent. Another man not missed within football and the reason players like Lukaku think they can demand top money and demand moves away when the going gets tough at a club. Although it is sad to see any human being pass away.
