yeah, same here ni~ya and sakito are my favorites of the band but all still really awesome i've also seen improvements in his playing as well especially when you listen to his bass lines from the past and compare them to his bass lines that he plays now
i know what you mean on my speakers i can't really hear the bass part but when i went to my friends house and actually heard the bass part, i was like "wow" but the good thing is that at least you can HEAR him; most bands you can't really hear the bass part

Yes the 'u' is silent in most Japanese words with the exception of 'sumanasai' and a few other words. Im pretty sure I learned most of my Japanese from Gimmeabreakman who has lived in Japan for seventeen years. You should look up some of his Japanese instruction videos you can learn a lot.
