Really helpful video on a recent selection, thanks Caan. I've needed this, I've been getting it a little bit wrong of late. Though that horse will from now on be forever known as Michelle Stroganoff 😆
Hi Caan. Great video. How do you select the horse to back expecting to have a good start. Any statistics or service where we can check the best horses for this profile of trading ?
Very interesting article, Caan. Quick question - how far ahead of the race should you place the back trade? I place mine as soon as I identify a front runner, which might be six or seven hours before because I figure that if other people do the same thing, then the price will start steaming. Is this the best thing to do?
Ive known about this for some years but its very good of you to share, I know of one pay betting site that wants 47 quid for this , what a cheek, lot of sharks out there who come across as good guys , I didnt buy it I kind of worked out what it was in the description .
The way I see it, in a horse race an average race has 10 horses racing, 9 horses will lose, meaning the chance of winning a lay bet is a lot higher then betting for a horse to win, it’s logical how you could make money by laying on the horses
Smarkets which has a lower commission of 2% and also Matchbook which takes an even lower commission of just 1.15% which is better to maximise your profits!
Nice 1. I was doing this, letting it go in play to test it out,I thought I was mad as i thought i was breaking the rule. "Don't go in play in horese racing." Thanks for the reassurance and will continue to practice. Also how do you know which ones to go in play with caan? Cheers, John
The horse's lay price contracted as it was running really well, so CB decided to cash out about half way through the race as he was in profit (due to having backed it at higher odds before the start). If the horse had missed the break and was trailing along unenthusiastically at the rear of the field, he might have lost his stake if the lay price increased in-running.

Really helpful caan thanks you explained it all very well

Caan; the horse is Michele Strogoff, not Stroganoff

oops sorry wrong video, I meant the one where they parade around from a standing start
So back to lay watch it live and pull the lay of horse is looking like a winner pull the back of not and keep the lay?? Thanks.
Thanks mate for your time and effort.
No problem. Its worth it when people watch them and take something useful from them! Just uploaded a new screen recording.

that's a slightly flawed way of seeing it not every horse in the race has the same potential
Another great vid. Thanks Caan
Can please someone cand help me understand all the colored charts on the screen and what they mean? :))
I'm new to horse bettings
Is there an another site that allow you to do lay bet other than betfair?
smarkets

Not really when you consider they are the market too.
There are, but I'd be careful. Many of them are trading their own exchanges.

I was under the impression with back to lays you usually go in-play. Obviously with scalping its a no-no.
Top video as usual buddy
Great video ! Thank you Caan !
sprint back to lays are far better don't you think ?
@@CaanBerryProTrader needs to be set before and let it ride
Is laying against a horse to come in at 4 places a good idea?
exploiting bad each way markets is a good idea... not sure if that's what you meant though as your comment is quite undescriptive
Please can you tell me how many minutes before the off you generally start to enter the market? Thank you.
So what happened? Did you back the winner???
Must have missed something?
What was with all the clicking?
