As an ADOBE full suite user for over 25 years I just bought the full suite of Affinity, I agree with the integration between the apps, the UI of each app, and the iPad versions for when I’m traveling. Keep up the great work and I appreciate your videos!

I purchased the whole Affinity suite (Designer and Photo at first, then I added Publisher when it was released) years ago as a convenient and cheap alternative to Adobe apps and for the use I do of it, it perfectly fits my needs.
Several features were missing when comparing the two suites and some are still missing though the gap has been partially filled. So while we now have the Worp Tool (at long last) and the possibility to build up more complex shapes easily with the Knife Tool and the Shape Builder Tool, yet a real Vector Brush Tool, a Vector Eraser Tool and a Vector Mesh Gradient Tool are not available.
As for blending shapes and 3D design I don't have specific needs for but maybe some designers out there could miss the features.
All that said, I repeat myself: for me and my personal needs Affinity suite is a great alternative to Adobe and I keep sticking with it without any doubt.

Switched from illustrator right when V2 came out. Paying 30 dollars a month is not a good deal if you have all the same tools for one time payment.
It's crazy how much better the drawing and creating shapes is in Designer compared to Illustrator. Pen tool and node tool give you full control of nodes and ability to undo, fix everything on the fly. Even shape builder tool is better in designer than in illustrator.
Many people want a freeform gradient or a mesh gradient. Personally, I think that using shapes and blending them with gaussian blur to emulate the gradient gives you more control. Cause you can do all the shape transformations and easily duplicate such «gradients».
The only downside for me is the export to SVG. Designer rasterizes or completely ignores many effects that have a direct representation in SVG. Hope that they'll make it a little better. Right now if I need to export a vector image I often export only shapes and work on effects within figma(that does have a decent export to SVG).

Totally agree with you there! There definitely is improvements with the exports that can be made and hopefully this comes in the future
If no on has said it to you already... Welcome to the Affinity Suite! 👍🏽

After using Adobe for close to a decade I'm finally getting fed up enough to transfer my entire design workflow (at least for personal use and side projects) thank you for your review!
