The workshop will be presented by Jacquie Washington who served as Staff Sergeant/E6 in the United States Army, Military Intelligence Unit for 13 years. After obtaining her degree in teaching, she also worked within the school system of Louisa County as a “VIP” substitute. She came to a crossroads in choosing working for the Virginia Employment Commission or teaching, and decided to continue working in career services. It has provided her the opportunity to give veterans a “hand-up” in the communities she serves by sharing knowledge of resources, partnerships, and employment opportunities she developed along the way.
