  • From the 16th to the 18th century, the manor house on this site was owned by notable families like the von Redern, von Zedlitz, and later, the von Bothmer. The estate saw significant changes over the years, including an expansion in the late 19th century when it was inherited by Richard Friedrich von Bergmann. However, a fire in 1930 destroyed much of the palace, and the hasty reconstruction resulted in a simpler design.
After surviving World War II, the palace was used by various institutions, including the University of Łódź and the Polish Academy of Sciences. In the 1970s and 1980s, it underwent renovations but fell into neglect after 1989 due to financial difficulties faced by its private owner. A brief attempt at renovation in 2012 was abandoned, leading to legal action in 2016 when the owner was charged with damaging the historic monument.
