I think WISDot laid the groundwork in Green Bay with the I-41/WIS 29 interchange. Some decry the DDI, but there's a ton of businesses near the WIS 81 interchange.
Your intro theme song played Thursday on XM radio in the work truck and I immediately had a huge smile after assuming my youtube app had launched. Again thank you for transporting us out of our living rooms into fun, family roadtrips #relaxation
Glad you got to get out and take a day trip to film; which is something I hardly ever have time to do these days; although I finally did on Saturday Nov 13th. Great job, IMO that low black cloud bank added to the drama of your presentation. Glad to see better infrastructure implemented
Thanks! I haven't done much filming this year, but enough to feature a few more new videos beyond the series I'm doing. But yeah, I'm busier than I used to be.
Finally you Made a Video about this, Great Job! WisDOT Took this to the Next Level when they Reconstructed this Entire Interchange! And woah, those are one of the Most Beautiful Skies I have ever Seen in this vid.
Yeah, I usually wait until a series is over to show other things, but this couldn't wait. I got lucky with the skies as I filmed between two storms at that time. But I love sky shots too.
In the morning I always like about the two states of Illinois Wisconsin for my perspective in mind for the most of the moment is another point of view from here and there 🛣️
Nice to finally see that finished product almost fully realized… much less brand new flyover bridges still having that “candy” like paint look to it. As of last year, they were just about completely finished with everything north of Janesville (notably excluding the NB 39/90 & beltline mainline/ramp relocation). But I do wonder if they should’ve made the I-43 ramps to/from Illinois two lane facilities instead of what’s clearly one laners… hopefully they hold up longer than the I-64 ramps to/from the Stan Span (I-70) in St. Louis did… barely 2 years after opening, the one lane ramps (and weaving between immediate interchanges) was the very primary reason that bridge had ANY sort of traffic problems at all.
If you look closely at the piers, there's room to build another lane if necessary. The flyover alone will do wonders for traffic, which virtually had to slow to a crawl on a tight loop ramp to merge with at-speed traffic. I can't wait to use it in a normal traffic configuration. Also, all lanes from the state line to Madison are open. I'll tackle that in the spring.
Compared to the rest of Illinois, Wisconsin is in much better shape in that regard. Notably excluding I-94 East/West (much less the dreaded Stadium Interchange) being on hold, that state is expanding things very accordingly. Personally wisdom should just give up on widening I-94 between the Marquette & Zoo and just simply relocate ALL left ramps and see if they can talk the immediate area into having one new tolled express lane each way from just east of Waukesha to just east of the reconfigured Stadium Interchange.
@@schwenda3727 I don't think you'll ever see the word "toll" in Wisconsin. I've been impressed by the way Wisconsin has updated their infrastructure. I would have never imagined I-39/90 having six lanes up to Madison, which including the work done in Illinois, brings I-90 to at least six lanes from Chicago to the I-39/90 split near Portage. Add that along with an updated I-94 from the state line to Milwaukee, revamps to the Zoo and Mitchell interchanges and conversion of U.S. 41 into an interstate, a lot of progress is being done.
I always love the country life that is the best time ever for the first time that I see quite some time in years
Awesome flyover! Unusual to see it combined with a DDI.

Ha! Thanks for watching and appreciate the support.

Great Time Lapse Drive in Beloit, Wisconsin!
Thanks for watching!
Wisdot added Rockford but dropped Madison all together and replaced it with Janesville.
I guess they're trying to note the larger cities. Remember, Janesville is among the top 10 cities in the state.
@@TheSolarcatcher Madison is the capitol and the state's 2nd largest city. I get adding Janesville but not having it replace Madison

Wisconsin is 20 year's behind Illinois now is rebuilding

Eye candy everywhere! There's something about a long, sweeping flyover, especially if it's so new that maybe the paint hasn't dried yet.
Yeah, when word came out that it opened, I had to go see it. Ironically, the other two flyover movements opened a week later.
Same thing to me is the best picture I can get from you 😍
