M shadows and Corey taylor has the most badass voice i've ever heard.
They had the same vocal teacher. M. Shadows, Corey Taylor and Chester Bennington, that's why their screams sound so similar

It only seems more brutal because the song's main sound production ( Guitar/Bass/Drum Set etc.) isn't there to soften the lyrics becuase your mind can multi task but it can't multitask sounds very well.

When listening to Nightmare, my favorite part of the song was always the "AHHHH" in the background of the chorus, it's heard at 2:42, it just has such a sad creepy feel to it that I love. It's amazing hearing a more clear version of it.
The piano killed me!:O damn why I love this so badly! I'm in a neighborhood that all the people listens to trashy rap, no rap can give me goosebumps like real rock music!

Most vocalists in modern music NEED a studio to sound good. But not Matt. Even live he has a voice of the Gods..
That is true, he sound like a god on stage.
As a singer myself, i can say that matt is one of the best rock singers ever. He has a great range, and phenominal power! He puts out good harmonies, has a great vibrato, and has real good control over his voice.
Am I the only one who feels like Matt is staring into my soul...?

Its the way he sings as someone said with his nasal but depends on his voice as well. I also thought it was because of age, which could play a factor too

I miss when Matt had this voice. Raspy and melodic. I guess all the years of singing like that and aging took a toll on him. He still sounds great, but this is just next level vocals

I always have this impression that if Shadows decides to join American Idol, he would win it clean. (Sorry if my example offended some of you rock people) Not to mention that stage prescence. Dangg. ah very good point sir...I did fail to use the correct word, when i said keys my brain was stuck in "singing in a certain "key" but yes it is octaves
a two octave range is extremely common actually but the voice always sounds much different when switching octaves (one sounds more like your talking voice and the other is more of your singing voice like called out so to speak)
however what i think is uncommon is the fact that it sounds practically the same meaning he can probly go ALOT higher

Thiago Alves Go to a tab for this song on songsterr, it probably has the keyboard tabs.. that is if you can read tabs on piano. If not, your only other option is to get the official tab book for nightmare. All the songs and parts of the songs are in there, with sheet music and all.
