  • Are you a home distiller looking for a bigger still, but not sure what size to get?
Let me show you the different ways how I use my 100 Lt Column Still.
In this video I will share with you how I use my 100 Lt Column Still Modular Design for my different runs and all my attachments.
I’m Distiller Greyling and I’m a legal home & hobby distiller here in South Africa. My wife and I are working our way up to own our very own Craft Distillery and would like to share our journey with you.

What was the output ABV and liters per hour when in reflux mode?

      Hey Caitlin!
For the high reflux run it took about 1h15min for the 45lt to heat up at 3.4kw power input.
I then let it stabilize for 30min and then adjust on the reflux condenser to start collecting the spirits.
From then I run at 30-35 min per 1lt of product at 94%ABV.
In total I got 6lt out at 94%ABV and it took me just under 5hrs to complete the run.
I’m limited by the power input, can’t run the 4kw element at full potential here in the complex I’m staying, but I’m satisfied at the rate and results of my run.
      Keep it awesome!! 👍🏻

It's a shame the darn boilers are always so obscenely expensive. Here in Canada it make a lot more sense to use a 15 Gallon beer keg or 2.

Well said Robert and you are right.
I myself have seen a lot of guys using a beer keg to build a nice and proper still. Keep it awesome!! 👍🏻

Yeah, I got my 100L system from North Stills (in Ontario) 6 plate flute column....once the Canadian mafia (taxes/Canada Post) took their cut, it totaled close to $3,400! Gonna build a HERMS brewing system this summer with an even larger price tag. Problem is.....prices NEVER go down, so if I don't do it now, I'll never have the gear. 😞

@@theghostofsw6276 and that is what I paid for my 15GL 3" still, and only 4B plate
