Im so frustrated and confused. I have sl88, focusrite 2i2, newest ipad pro, unin usb c hub. Just doesn't seem to sound as good as the videos on the channel. Feel as though im missing something. I mean it sounds close, just clangy or twangy...if thats a way to describe lol ...what am i missing... :(

Hey there, most of the time with this sort of difference it comes down to the signal chain, gain staging, or EQ further down the line. Make sure your sound desk is properly gaining your signal and for most cases we recommend a flat eq with minimal or no compression. Depending on your interface, you can also make sure you have the volume buttons on the side of your ipad turned all the way up (some interfaces disable those volume controls, others do not).
lastly, it could come down to your playing technique. try some of the different velocity curve options for SK Grand in the App (make sure you have the latest sound library downloaded) and see if any of those feel preferable to you.

@@SundaySounds Thank so much for your help. I have been on research mode for a week and FINALLY.. success. The SL88 comes with 4 zones all lit up and default with 4 zones of sound which cause notes to repeat with one press of a key. This was causing the twangy twingy sound. Turned zones 2,3,4 off...that fixed that. As well as setting the velocity curve to soft and the key balance to 6. Viola!! Sounds like a grand piano now!! Woot woot...

There's a LOT of EQ and compression that is not being discussed in the videos. Out of the box the Sunday Keys app doesn't sound all that great!. I mean the pads do of course but the pianos and eps do not.

Hey Michael, that’s just not true. We do not apply any post processing to the Sunday Keys App audio in any of our videos. No EQ, no compression. The only thing we do is make sure the overall volume of the recording is mixed well with the voice in each video. Everything you hear from SK is the straight audio from the screen recording, and then of course TH-cam’s video compression. It wouldn’t be honest of us to “sweeten” the signal- and it doesn’t need any sweetening.
In a live context we generally recommend folks ask for a flat EQ from the soundboard and then make adjustments to compression and EQ for individual Sounds in the App as needed. We think the pianos and EPs sound great, but of course everyone has their own personal preferences and the App gives you lots of flexibility to adjust and tweak to your taste.

Una interfaz de audio y una capturadora de video sería suficiente. Eso usamos nosotros en presupuesto medio. Capturadora El Gato, interfaz focusrite o behringer
