The girl in the dance break is Sriya she's from India, the blonde girl is Gabi from Brazil, the rapper is Fatou she's Senegalese (from Africa) and the one you pointed out is Nvee she's American. They released a song not so long ago called ''Cat & Mouse'' and it's pretty cool ♥

It’s like a kpop group with Korean members doing an Indian concept that’s what they did but with an actual Indian member, they add THEIR culture to kpop with the actual member being from that culture not just Koreans cultural appropriating
An Indian film director did the Karma MV. Sriya has mentioned being proud about her culture being in the video too. It was shot in Odisha btw, which is where Sriya is from.
They credited Zanybros is korean director , i think it is collaboration between both

Blackswan debuted on october 16, 2020, as a 5 member line up, with Fatou (the rapper), 3 korean girls (Youngeun, Judy & Hyeme), and 1 brazilian (Leia), those 5 stay together for like 1 month when Hyeme left, the other 4 stay together for 1 year and half.
On May 2022 they added Sriya from India (the One who is on the dance break), and Gabi Brazil/Germany (the Blonde One).
After this the remaining korean members left and then N.vee (from the us) was added.
Leia is on hiatus, so they have been promoting with these 4.
They are based on South Korea, since debut, they are under a korean agency, they sing in korean and they speak korean very well😊

It is real first global (members)k-pop group . They are getting better you can hear and see their live performance and English versions . And new one ' cat and mouse ' .

The group is under DR Entertainment and debuted in 2020 as a 5-member global K-pop girl group ( the group consisted of 3 Korean members and 2 foreign members; one from Brazil and one from Belgium. Due to the fact that they were under a K-pop label, were singing in Korean, and went through the idol training system they were a K-pop group but they had members from different parts of the world making them global and the company wanted to market them as that.) Due to a whole lot of situations, 4 of the OG members are no longer with us. The line-up now consists of 4 non-east Asian foreign members (Fatou, Nvee, Gabi, and Sriya), and we have truly lucked out.
This lineup has brought the global factor up by a lot. They made their new-line up comeback just recently with the album That Karma with the title track Karma (which you just checked out!). It is highly inspired by Indian culture. The filming was a collaboration between a Korean director and an Indian director. The company had the help of the government of Odisha (the hometown of the Indian member) which helped them to have access to highly monumental areas/buildings to film in. They filmed with local dancers and other local film staff. All in all the comeback was just highly Indian-centric! They plan on diving into the other cultures within the group during their next comebacks. They are currently promoting a B-side of that album titled Cat and Mouse(should definitely check it out) alongside a pop edition of their album featuring English versions of their tracks in the OG album and 1 new song dedicated to the victims of the Odisha train accident. Now a brief intro to our members/ their positions:
🐯Fatou( Senegalese-Belgian), born in Senegal and raised in Belgium, is the leader, main rapper, lead dancer, and sub-vocalist, the oldest of the group.
🐻Nvee( Mixed: African-American and White American) is the group's main vocalist ( she is a top-tier vocalist !! Check out her TikTok or Insta (@n_v.ee) !!).
🐹Gabi ( Brazilian with a mother of German descent) is the main visual, lead vocalist, and dancer.
🐼Sriya( Indian) is the main dancer, vocalist, sub-rapper, and maknae (youngest of the group).

🐹Gabi: Was part of a K-pop dance cover group before debuting and played volleyball competitively.
🐼Sriya: is trained in Indian classical dancing and contemporary dance.

I've seen several interviews with the members and have read several articles about their evolution as a group. But, I've never heard one song from them until today. Thanks for checking them out and sharing the video!

Basically they are a global kpop group. Global because they are from diff countries and kpop because they signed to a kpop label and went through the kpop training system. Lastly kpop in general is inspired by diff cultures and genres it’s not just one sound n feeling but it’s sang in Korean .
Blackswan are actually not considered a global group

@@Mileylovesmusic Global kpop groups like the A2K girls sing in English. Blackswan has never considered themselves global because all the girls are based in Korea. Fatou has legit lived there for years and been in blackswan when the line up was mostly Asian

Dream American (global pop) and blackswan (global kpop) are global groups .

Wow! Never heard of them before but I've been wondering why I haven't seen any other ethnicities in the kpop groups like black, Indian, white. There are kpop lovers everywhere who are great singers. Its great seeing a Latina in there also. Brazilians love kpop! This is great, all different cultures, all singing in Korean, all beautiful. This is a representation of our global community. The inclusivity is long overdue, yet the continuity of the kpop sound is refreshing. This is the first girl group I've seen that has piqued my interest. The others(I don't know all of them)just seemed cookie cutter (no disrespect) even though I've seen some standouts like Lisa, Hwasa and the artist who sings "I see you looking at my pic". Looking forward to checking these ladies out some more.

Basically kpop is a mix of diff genres n takes inspiration from diff cultures. Bt singing in Korean and being signed to a kpop label even if u are not Korean is wat makes u a kpop idol. Because this song was inspired bt india they decided to pay homage. Other groups Hv done indian inspired kpop songs too

I'd love to see Blackswan make more songs like this, featuring all of the girl's cultures, that would be sick.
Honestly, the idea of this being kpop despite not having any Korean members don't seem weird to me at all. I think just the fact that the industry is from Korea as well as it's being released in Korea makes it kpop enough for me. We aren't questioning anything at all when we have a band formed in America with no American members, just the fact that it's being created there is enough, why shouldn't that be the case with kpop?
