i don't want to disagree with you chrissy but of course the language matters, and yes obviously race shouldn' matter but if kpop back then started in english it wouldn't even be called kpop music, people would've thought that it was just more western pop music and also somi a kpop soloist, literally has songs that sound like western pop music but we still call her songs kpop because of the LANGUAGE

Hii what I mean when I say “no matter the language” i mean that no matter where you go in the world, music is for everyone essentially. A lot of people see K-pop as something only Koreans can do despite many K-pop stars not being Korean and the many influences of K-pop coming from the western world. Like you said, Language is the only thing that differentiates the genre.😅 Though I actually think language matters a lot if you’re trying to get into K-pop or P-pop etc…
Any language is available to sing in especially for Pop. It’s not Sacred like some seem to think. If I were to move to Mexico, learn the culture and language, debut under a Mexican label as a Spanish pop artist then I’m valid despite me not being Mexican.
