This video is one of the most articulate-right to the point-videos I’ve seen on TH-cam. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge with us, Eli. You’ve prevented me from framing the bottom of our in-the-mail greenhouse with a 4 X 4 frame. And, being a Californian, I can tell you that your Scottish accent is delightful. I could listen to it for hours. The only problem is, my wife thinks I’m being silly when I attempt to repeat your accent. But it’s fun, all the same. Thanks again, your new subscriber, Tim.

Great video. I bought myself a Rhino greenhouse when I retired a few years ago and it has been brilliant. It's as good and solid now as it was when new. 10 x 8 seemed enormous when it arrived but, like you say, your interests and ambitions grow to fill the space available. Tomatoes, cucumbers and a grapevine are now fighting for space with the cuttings bench. In fact I could almost do with a separate greenhouse for cuttings and propagation - dream on. Another thing to think about when siting your greenhouse is, how easy is it to run electricity and water to it. Water's not difficult - you can easily bury a hosepipe connection - but the time will come when you want some heat for your seedlings in early spring, not to mention the heated propagation bench......... It never stops.

Thank you so much for a fantastic video.......it is a great help as I am about to purchase my first greenhouse. Loved the comment about the "non transparent" greenhouse roof - LOL. Glad you enjoyed it Roxanne This was was from a few years ago when everyone was having a rough time, so I hope it brought some cheer as well as being useful 😀
I just got a Rhino end of last year and it's fantastic. Well made for thr price and has coped with all our winter snow and gales easily. I only fitted 1 auto lourved vent as they don't open until it's really hot. Maybe I can reset the opening temp. I just leave the second open permanently slightly open during the summer and can get my water feed through it ftom my water butt. Will defo buy another Rhino. 👍
EXCELLENT VIDEO, THANK YOU SO MUCH I AM SUBSCRIBING AND LOOKING FORWARD TO YOUR OTHER TIPS. JUST IN THE PROCESS OF BUYING A GREENHOUSE AND THIS WAS SO VERY HELPFUL - THANKS AGAIN X
Brilliant thankyou. I just ordered a proper greenhouse this morning and you just confirmed all the things i considered. So excited for it to come now 😊
Very useful video Eli - I know that ultimately I’d like to change over to a greenhouse so I’ll be coming back to this video as a checklist of things to look out for when I’m making my choice! 👍
Glad it was helpful! What size is your poly tunnel? I always wonder about the benefits of a polytunnel and how it is similar or compares to a greenhouse. You don't have a video on that sort of thing do you? It would be really handy.
The Kitchen Garden with Eli & Kate My polytunnel is 17ft x 19ft roughly. Though it’s not in amazing shape and in need of a proper refurb! I could do a quick run-down video which would be an interesting comparison 😃
I'm actually getting close to finishing building my own greenhouse. The main wall is made of two salvaged Bay Windows and the back wall is repurposed pallets. I love your idea of the pavers to store the heat... where I've built mine half the ground is concrete the other is garden and I plan on having an L shape raised garden planter (made out of pallets) that covers that space, I'm debating covering the concrete with wood chips but I'm not sure yet. The rough area is about 5m X 2m (with a sloped roof running from roughly 2.7 to 2.4m) so hopefully I will get a lot of good use from it (that size is about the maximum I can have before I'd have to get building permits).
Love your channel! I made an account just to let you know! I've just bought an disused bowling green that I'm hoping to re-wild and your channel has been a gardening godsend
Great discussion Eli! I'll come back to this one day when I can actually afford to buy a fancy greenhouse instead of trying to fix up free hand me downs for the allotment!!!
Glad it was helpful. I'd recommend this video next. All about how you can get the best out of your greenhouse, no matter how small it is. th-cam.com/video/iAZPHpt3oR8/w-d-xo.html

Awww glad they are helpful JJ 😜 Remember though, the greenhouse is just part of your gardening, so don't only binge on greenhouse videos... balance with the general garden stuff too to make the absolutely best of things
Glad it had someful info for you. The video I released yesterday might be useful as well. I was switching the set up inside the greenhouse from summer growing to autumn and winter growing. I think it's always handy to see how folk make their spaces work 😀
Finally got my house and was super excited about doing raised beds but due to all the volcanic activity recently, I'm very concerned about another year without a summer.
So useful....i only have space for either a greenhouse or having a patio....after alot of deliberation, i'm going for the patio as I think I will get most use out of that. As it will have a roof, i might still use it as a greenhouse of sorts 😅😅
I think that's really sensible. Somewhere for you to sit out and enjoy the outdoors is super important and is so beneficial for mental health. I think you've made the right decision.
Brilliant run down on the greenhouse. Ive been looking into them and was considering the polycarb or the glass exterior. Ive picked up a lot of other tips you mentioned. thankyou
Just found your channel, this video was really informative and has really helped me make some decisions! Will be binge watching some more of your videos over the next few days!!
Yay that's aweskme that it's been useful. If it helps. I've got a whole playlist of videos about setting up your greenhouse and one that's just the whole growing in there.
This is very informative. But if you live in Texas, USA. …. Unless you have “super expensive”, “mega thick” ( almost bullet proof… Lol) glass, then you might want to rethink glass for a greenhouse! It’s too hot in the summer…. Glass intensifies the heat turning it into an oven in summer….. baking your plants! And…. One of our occasional hailstorms will turn it into smashed “crushed glass” house! It’s Sad…. But true. Only the very wealthy can afford the type of glass you would need for a large greenhouse here.
Oh I think that's a very sensible feeling -let's be honest they are really expensive. Took me 6 years to take the plunge and go for a proper glass one, took about that long to save up for it :)
Superb video which I found whilst searching on the best base for a greenhouse 👍🏼 Not only did I find out about a base but glass, drainage, staging and ventilation! Totally awesome. You didn’t mention about the 2 lights you have hanging above your head 😂, are the solar, I love them 😍 Thank you
Glad I could help! :D the lights are just cheap little battery operated things we bought for our wedding (for inside the gazebo). They've ended up being really useful for loads of things.
Hi Ladies, from Ireland!! :) LOVING your vid...such great insights...and we have a q I hope you can help with... we are debating polycarbonate vs glass...and we CANNOT decide!! We want the best type for ease of use for domestic use...thinking 8x14 in size...worried about temperature control...can ye help?
Hey Anthony, to be honest, things have changed so much since I made these videos and polycarbonate greenhouses are a whole different kettle of fish these days. I'd say don't make a decision based on supposides from the internet :D Go have a look at some greenhouses both glass and poly and decide which feels right, looks right etc. For a domestic garden, the differences aren't really big enough these days to justify the extra stress or work in buying one. :D
Pls make a video on the flooring of green house. I want to buy a greenhouse but i have grass all over my garden. Do i need to get concrete floor first before getting installed the green house or do i gid in and plant the seeds directly in prepared soil in the green house. Thanks
I am new here, just find this video because I am considering buying my first greenhouse but don't have a clue. I was wondering the same as you about the floor. Did you get your greenhouse? If so what did you do with your floor? Kind regards. 🍅🍓🌶
Good afternoon Eli and Kate. I'm just planning for my first ever greenhouse and was wondering if you could give me some advice as I've been following you for a little while now and you are full of tips and great video's to watch on how you do your planning etc. I was wondering what you would advise on having breeze blocks or red bricks as the base to attach your greenhouse to or did you just screw your greenhouse in to concrete?
Mine is screwed into concrete but as I didn’t need to increase the height, that concrete is poured into holes in the ground. Definitely screw it into something heavy like concrete…. You’d be surprised how many horror stories I hear from folk who haven’t.
Great video, Ely - absolutely love your GH. We’re planning on moving in the next twelve months and I’m already deliberating which GH to go for next. Rhino is a strong contender! I like the colourful light bulbs on the roof. Where are they from please? xx
Hey Elie V They were just some cheap battery powered things from the local pound shop. We got them for the garden but I found them really useful for the greenhouse in winter
Just came across your site and I have to say the way you explained things was really impressive so I quickly subscribed, thanks a lot for going into such detail, you’ve given me a lot of food for thought, stay safe David 👍👍
I had an 8 x 10 simplicity sun greenhouse at my old abode. I've gone all out at new house and am just completing a Halls Magnum 8 x 16 greenhouse. Next, I've just ordered the 19 x 14 Juliana orangery house. Looking foreward to that build.
Hi. Thank you for that video. I am looking to buy a greenhouse (and bigger than I originally thought) made of aluminium and safety glass with gutters and a base (whatever that is). I am partially-sighted and the big drawback is a lip at the door - I tripped on one in the garden centre. I wish to ask - do I need to find a special one or is there a way of erecting it so that it is flat to the ground? I've been told to get concrete laid around the edges to place the greenhouse on and that the lip is necessary to stop rain flowing in (I don't buy that one!). I need to know so that I can tell the person erecting it what I want instead of getting what they want. It is tricky to find the right person for- the job - I was once advised to remove weeds by spreading diesel and someone else said they would use RoundUp. It's safe to say that neither got the chance to do either!
Hey Teresa I absolutely understand what you are talking about and yes, you need to buy a greenhouse that specifically has a low door threshold. They are aimed at wheel chair users. Mine (which is a rhino greenhouse) has this as standard but not all do.
Hi. I'm looking at buying a greenhouse...I do love the Rhino but am worried its a bit extravagant as its pricy....what made you go for the Rhino and had you looked at any others ? TIA
Hey Julie, I agree they are crazy expensive. I had looked at others in our local garden centre and had owned a polycarbonate before but we have serious issues with wind so the strength of the greenhouse was a priority for me. The halls greenhouses seem to be quite popular.... Maybe worth a look?
@@eliandkate Hi Eli. Thank you for your reply. I have been looking at the Qube made by Hall's too and yeah they seem very reasonable. What I decided to do in the end was price match the exact spec that the Rhino models include (vents, base, louvres etc etc) and there was only £300 difference so I think I'm going to go for the Rhino as its hopefully a once in a lifetime purchase...Thank you for your help and keep the videos coming 😄😄 xx
I live in coastal Virginia where summer temps often exceed 90F. My ideal spot faces SW so is in sun most of the day & during the hottest part too. Will the side & top vents plus the open door provide adequate means of cooling or will I need a fan?
Hey Don Afraid I can’t really comment on what’s it’s like in your garden as I’m based in Scotland but I would imaging the ideal temperatures would depend on why you’re growing and if you need to add assistance you might need a fan but also shading
I love listening to your comments- and I Love Love Love your T shirt......I need to come up with a greenhouse for my fig trees I live in one of the windiest areas ever Martha's Vineyard Island so I am looking for greenhouses and for not doing it wrong.
oh Judi, I feel you! Wind is the biggie for us too. I do love this shirt, it's so appropriate at the moment ( I teach online teaching), so I'm dealing with a lot of nervous (read terrified) teachers at the moment.
It's from a UK company called Rhino - just to warn you in advance, they are crazy expensive. They are focused on the strength aspect so very very well built
@@eliandkate I’m in the wild and windy north east on the Northumberland border so probably the same conditions as yours so I will be investigating Rhino - thank you!
I'm loving all your stuff, had got tired of the lovely Monty because he doesn't deal with the weather conditions here. Great advice about greenhouses, had already decided on a Rhino because I live in a very exposed place in Dumfriesshire and get a huge amount of wind from the Solent here. So much so that I can't grow anything taller than 60cm, except the odd well staked tree...can you tell me if yours is the classic or premium? I am not sure which to go for. I will have to have a smaller one than yours because I don't have the space for bigger sadly.
I have to admit, I only started watching #gardenersworld about a year ago because when I first started gardening, it just always seemed to be so different to what we were experiencing. We are definitely a #beechgrovegarden house :) But we do enjoy it now purely because Monty is so watchable. We are in the same position as you regarding wind. We're on the coast so we have loads if issues with really strong winds and similarity, taller plants get burned by it:( Our greenhouse is a classic (took me years to save for that so how long would it take for a premium)... to be honest, the classic is strong as hell, so the premium must be a tank.
Great thanks that will save quite a bit!! Yes Beechgrove is better. Not sure if you are aware and if it makes any difference to you but most of the Amazon links I clicked on are no longer available...
:( yeah unfortunately as they are not my shops, they will go out of stock and into stock without me ever knowing. I can only hope though that it at least lets folk see the general items I use so they can have a rummage to find them :)
Thank you so much for that very informative videos. I'm wanting a greenhouse and yours is exactly size I want and has everything I require. Can i ask how much I need to purchased same size house - minus the internal shelving. Many thanks.
there isn't a single price, sorry. It would depend on the greenhouse company you buy from. Best bet is to either online or in store go have a look at options before you make a decision.
Thanks so much, looks like my local place (Crook o Lune, Lancaster )is Broadoak, where they have a sell Elite greenhouses. Think I will have a look but also see if Rhinos are available to view in my area. Thanks so much for taking time to reply. Have good day.👍❤
You do t need a cement floor no, but you will want an nice level base to hold it A lot of folk build it from brick and leave the centre as earth to grow in Mine is paving slabs

I used to live in Hawaii in a house with jalousie windows. They open just like your vents! Get a breeze through the house, was awesome for a humid heat
I do love your honesty❤🤣 and thank you for all the helpful advice and things to think on in regards to having a greenhouse. This video was really helpful!! 🙂
Glad it was helpful 😀
Thank you so much for a fantastic video.......it is a great help as I am about to purchase my first greenhouse. Loved the comment about the "non transparent" greenhouse roof - LOL. Snow is not something we are ever likely to experience where we are, but it was a good laugh anyway. Really looking forward to getting going and to watching all your other videos too. Looks like thousands of them - yay!!
🤣🤣🤣 to be fair, the commentor was from somewhere very hot too 😀
If it's handy for more info... I've got a huge playlist if greenhouse set up videos and one on growing in there too. Great for a rainy day.
And today's video drops in 3 hours... not the greenhouse but handy gardening stuff
Hahah great video, I ended up watching it for the entertainment! Until I realised I was here for information, had to go back and watch it over. Thank you, helped me out a lot
😂😂😂😂 you sound like my students - you need to pay attention 😂😂😂😂
You are overjoyed w this new venture. Fresh investment are such !! I totally agree with glass. And you give valid pointers on Sun direction, pavers to hold that heat, ventilation and automation !!....helpers of this era. Now go plant what are waiting for. Appreciate the video.
Glad you found it useful :)
I'm so jealous of your Rhino! We have been researching greenhouses but due to covid, brexit and various other factors lead times for top quality greenhouses are up to 30 weeks at the moment!
It seems to be the way just now... All the greenhouse companies seem to have huge waiting lists
I just learned of your channel during the live with Gardener Scott. I'm in Washington state in the US and our climate if very similar. I'm researching greenhouses so I'm going to watch all your content on the subject. Thanks!
Welcome aboard Bud
Hopefully you’ll find some useful content 😀😀😀
Looking at your greenhouse and dreaming of my own. We have gutted our garden and this is the next step, so thank you for giving such great information, tips and laughs. I am in South Lanarkshire, in a valley, and the wind is biblical 😅 so this video was perfect! I subscribed right away!
Glad the channel is turning out to be useful
Hello and good morning, I am interested in buying a greenhouse and of course setting it up, just came on the tube and saw your video, Amazing, so informative and practical, the tips you give I will definitely review, I am planning to grow some Elephant Ears, Taro plants
I live in the US and considering a career change in a bit of Agriculture, I will be asking more questions, keep up that good work and those well thought out videos, Cheers

You're informative and enjoyable to listen to. New subscriber here 😊 from California, USA.
Thanks and welcome to our gang
This video is brilliant! I’m planning on getting a greenhouse soon and your video has been really helpful so thank you.
I'm glad to hear it was useful Wes. Getting a greenhouse is awesome and will add so much to your gardening. Good luck 🤞
Your greenhouse so nice and you have beautiful plants. Rain water is what I been using to my flower plants also.
You should see it now.... So much better than last year 😁 (this video is from last year)
Hi, I am so glad I came across your videos. This is a great one. I am in Scotland too and about to indulge in a greenhouse like yours. It's lovely, clear and helpful. Thank you! Now subscribed, though I'm an orchid person!! 😅
Oh orchids, wow! 😮
Hi, from Washington state in USA! Enjoyed your podcast and loved your truly natural humor!
Glad you enjoyed it Roxanne
This was was from a few years ago when everyone was having a rough time, so I hope it brought some cheer as well as being useful 😀
I do love mine
Great ! I really enjoyed this video. I am planning on buying a greenhouse and your video is valuable. I am in Canada. Thanks
Glad it was useful Andre
EXCELLENT VIDEO, THANK YOU SO MUCH I AM SUBSCRIBING AND LOOKING FORWARD TO YOUR OTHER TIPS. JUST IN THE PROCESS OF BUYING A GREENHOUSE AND THIS WAS SO VERY HELPFUL - THANKS AGAIN X
Brilliant thankyou. I just ordered a proper greenhouse this morning and you just confirmed all the things i considered.
So excited for it to come now 😊
Glad it was helpful!
I think that could be really handy... I wouldn't know where to start if I wanted to switch to a polytunnel
Sounds like it’ll be awesome
Food for thought if I go down the permanent greenhouse route. Thank you.
😀😀😀
Great video - thanks. Wifey wants a greenhouse and this was excellent.
Glad it was helpful!
Love your channel! I made an account just to let you know! I've just bought an disused bowling green that I'm hoping to re-wild and your channel has been a gardening godsend
Oh that sounds exciting... I can honestly say you are the first person I've met who has bought a bowling green 🤣🤣🤣
I got a second hand greenhouse, today. A polycarbonate one its old but we have got to do some fixing upping then it’s done !
awesome, a second hand greenhouse would save you a fortune :)
Merci, totally found your comments useful and instructive. Now to find a supplier and a price to match my finances. Stay safe, salut. 😷🇬🇧🍷🇫🇷😎
Good luck.
I'm seriously thinking about buying a greenhouse so this is really useful information. ❤
Glad it’s helpful 😍
such a great video! so informational and you’re a great speaker
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you for sharing your thoughts on the greenhouse setup. This was quite an enjoyable video and I'll be a new sub 😀
Glad to have you with us 😍
Thanks 🙏 your greenhouse is Fab! 💖And you're cool too 😄
😂😂😂 glad you found it useful
Great discussion Eli! I'll come back to this one day when I can actually afford to buy a fancy greenhouse instead of trying to fix up free hand me downs for the allotment!!!
That's what I did JB... Gives you time to save.
Very helpful indeed, thanks for sharing. Looking forward to watching more of your videos.
Glad it was helpful.
I'd recommend this video next. All about how you can get the best out of your greenhouse, no matter how
small it is.

@@eliandkate Thanks for the recommendation. I have my very first greenhouse arriving in just under two weeks 😊😊 and I'm so pleased I discovered your videos. I'm intending to watch them all 😊😊.
They're so superbly presented and a wealth of useful information. Thanks again 🙏🙏☺☺.
Awww glad they are helpful JJ 😜
Remember though, the greenhouse is just part of your gardening, so don't only binge on greenhouse videos... balance with the general garden stuff too to make the absolutely best of things
This was an awesome insight as we are building one next spring here in Ohio USA!
Glad it had someful info for you.
The video I released yesterday might be useful as well. I was switching the set up inside the greenhouse from summer growing to autumn and winter growing. I think it's always handy to see how folk make their spaces work 😀
Superb details. Thanks!
Glad it was useful
Finally got my house and was super excited about doing raised beds but due to all the volcanic activity recently, I'm very concerned about another year without a summer.
Noooooo 😥😢😥 that would be so hard going. Fingers crossed for you.
From Kentucky, and love the accent as well!
@@eliandkate aww thank you.. and yes, you're so right mental health is so key 🥰
I enjoyed your energy. Cheers from East Dundee, Illinois. USA ❤️
Awesome....glad you enjoyed :)
Brilliant run down on the greenhouse. Ive been looking into them and was considering the polycarb or the glass exterior. Ive picked up a lot of other tips you mentioned. thankyou
Defo worth looking into… polycarbonate greenhouses have come on soooo much since I made this video
Great video! Thanks for all the info. I love love love your accent!!!
Glad it was useful
Other end of the UK in Torquay, this video helped me a bunch. Many thanks
Great to hear! How's it looking in Torquay just now? You're quite exposed aren't you?
@@eliandkate finally it's stopped raining, has still been pretty windy. Hoping for a nice summer 🤞
Fingers crossed 🤞🤞🤞
You seem so chill I love it :)
:) glad you enjoyed
Just found your channel, this video was really informative and has really helped me make some decisions! Will be binge watching some more of your videos over the next few days!!
Yay that's aweskme that it's been useful.
If it helps. I've got a whole playlist of videos about setting up your greenhouse and one that's just the whole growing in there.
@@eliandkate Oh thats great will difinitley give them a watch!!
You are so adorable. I just love it! This is the first thing I watched today.. Thank you very much for the teaching!!
You are welcome!
Really glad I checked this video out really useful
Awesome. Really glad it's been useful
You have a great greenhouse! I've had this on a wish list for awhile! Great video!
Greenhouses are so useful
Makes such a difference to what I can grow
I agree, I live in zone 6b and we can get early frost and also late frosts in the spring.
Thank you for producing this excellent video sharing your real life experience :)
Glad to help Edwin
I Am So Glad I Found Your Video's
🙌💚🌿 great video. So soothing to listen to. Scared of taking the plunge but saving my pennies.
Oh I think that's a very sensible feeling -let's be honest they are really expensive. Took me 6 years to take the plunge and go for a proper glass one, took about that long to save up for it :)
Great video, love the camera lesson too!! Thanks
😀😀😀. Glad you enjoyed it
You are so helpful. Love your ideas.
😀😀😀
Superb video which I found whilst searching on the best base for a greenhouse 👍🏼 Not only did I find out about a base but glass, drainage, staging and ventilation! Totally awesome. You didn’t mention about the 2 lights you have hanging above your head 😂, are the solar, I love them 😍 Thank you
Glad I could help! :D
the lights are just cheap little battery operated things we bought for our wedding (for inside the gazebo). They've ended up being really useful for loads of things.
Thank you so much for all this great information! I just built a 8x10 greenhouse in my backyard and am so excited! Btw I love your tshirt!
New greenhouses are so exciting… that first few months is an adventure
Hi Ladies, from Ireland!! :) LOVING your vid...such great insights...and we have a q I hope you can help with... we are debating polycarbonate vs glass...and we CANNOT decide!! We want the best type for ease of use for domestic use...thinking 8x14 in size...worried about temperature control...can ye help?
Hey Anthony,
to be honest, things have changed so much since I made these videos and polycarbonate greenhouses are a whole different kettle of fish these days.
I'd say don't make a decision based on supposides from the internet :D Go have a look at some greenhouses both glass and poly and decide which feels right, looks right etc. For a domestic garden, the differences aren't really big enough these days to justify the extra stress or work in buying one. :D
Just found your channel and so glad I did, lots to learn from yourselves and I enjoy watching 😊
We so glad to have you with us 😍😍😍
Pls make a video on the flooring of green house. I want to buy a greenhouse but i have grass all over my garden. Do i need to get concrete floor first before getting installed the green house or do i gid in and plant the seeds directly in prepared soil in the green house. Thanks
:) I f I can I will :)
Layers of newspaper and cardboard on top will stop the grass dead. Do NOT dig it up unless you need to level it.
@@eliandkate thank you so much 😊.
P.s keep your video's coming as I'm loving them...
Great video, Ely - absolutely love your GH. We’re planning on moving in the next twelve months and I’m already deliberating which GH to go for next. Rhino is a strong contender! I like the colourful light bulbs on the roof. Where are they from please? xx
Hey Elie V
They were just some cheap battery powered things from the local pound shop. We got them for the garden but I found them really useful for the greenhouse in winter
Appreciate all of your insights!
Glad it was useful :)
Just love your channel, way to go. TFS
I'm so glad you're enjoying the channel. We have a fantastic wee community here and loads of fun.
Just ignore that bad lockdown hair 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Just came across your site and I have to say the way you explained things was really impressive so I quickly subscribed, thanks a lot for going into such detail, you’ve given me a lot of food for thought, stay safe David 👍👍
I'm really glad this was useful David.
Excellent video.
Glad you liked it!
Hi Eli and Kate, Another great video thank you, 👍👍👍, Take care and stay safe.
Thank Ronald.... Hope things are good with you guys. 😷😷😷
I had an 8 x 10 simplicity sun greenhouse at my old abode.
I've gone all out at new house and am just completing a Halls Magnum 8 x 16 greenhouse. Next, I've just ordered the 19 x 14 Juliana orangery house. Looking foreward to that build.
I'd love one that size :D
Hey Teresa
I absolutely understand what you are talking about and yes, you need to buy a greenhouse that specifically has a low door threshold. They are aimed at wheel chair users.
Mine (which is a rhino greenhouse) has this as standard but not all do.
I'm just about to move house and will hopefully be buying a 12x16Rhino greenhouse which is perfect with double doors and flat access for wheelchairs.
What I decided to do in the end was price match the exact spec that the Rhino models include (vents, base, louvres etc etc) and there was only £300 difference so I think I'm going to go for the Rhino as its hopefully a once in a lifetime purchase...Thank you for your help and keep the videos coming 😄😄 xx
a new greenhouse is so exciting :D this is the best time, when you can just sit and plan and imagine
Pole dancing....hahhahahha you're a riot! LOVED your video.
Glad you enjoyed it
perfect video. exactly what i was looking for. thanks
Glad it helped
You perfectly explain everything
thanks :D Glad it was useful
I live in coastal Virginia where summer temps often exceed 90F. My ideal spot faces SW so is in sun most of the day & during the hottest part too. Will the side & top vents plus the open door provide adequate means of cooling or will I need a fan?
Hey Don
Afraid I can’t really comment on what’s it’s like in your garden as I’m based in Scotland but I would imaging the ideal temperatures would depend on why you’re growing and if you need to add assistance you might need a fan but also shading
Where did you get your lovely greenhouse? I’ve looked on internet but the choices are overwhelming!
We are definitely a #beechgrovegarden house :)
But we do enjoy it now purely because Monty is so watchable.
We are in the same position as you regarding wind. We're on the coast so we have loads if issues with really strong winds and similarity, taller plants get burned by it:(
Our greenhouse is a classic (took me years to save for that so how long would it take for a premium)... to be honest, the classic is strong as hell, so the premium must be a tank.
Have good day.👍❤
You are so cool! Thanks for the info!
Oh sooooo not cool. Even just for the cringey lockdown hair 😆🤣
Awesome green house what about flooring do you need a cement floor?? And a big hello 👋 ☺️ 😊
You do t need a cement floor no, but you will want an nice level base to hold it
A lot of folk build it from brick and leave the centre as earth to grow in
Mine is paving slabs
Great information. You are awesome!
🤣🤣🤣 Happy to help
