It happens to all of us. I’m 50 yr Old and went through much of it in my 40s. The light at the end of the tunnel is as such.. at first the regrets set in. Later, you learn how to manage those feelings of regret and somehow come to an “acceptance” of “this is how things turned out, and it’s meant to be this way”... When things begin to turn around and really get better is when you transition out of the “acceptance” phase and into a phase of “embracement” - where you now have learned to truly “embrace” all that has been given to you or not given to you and you begin to find ways to live a life that uses and make the best of what circumstances were handled to you. I know it sounds cliche but moving into this phase has helped me tremendously. For me, it was being single at 40, never married, no children, etc. I eventually came to the mindset that I was going to wake up every day appreciating my time given to improve myself and make the best body - physically, emotionally and mentally for myself. Nowadays, I’m at a point in life where I wouldn’t have it any other way. That’s ultimately the best position to be in. I also found it helpful for me to volunteer at a senior living facility, and a homeless shelter. You’ll find it helps to take your mind off of your issues by helping others cope with theirs.

I am 58 and going through a divorce after 15 years of marriage, so definitely a time for reflection and reevaluation. Perhaps a mid life crisis is less of a crisis, and more of a time to make changes, before it is too late, and we are simply forced to cruise into retirement? The older we get, the harder it is to change course, and that is where the disillusion and depression can creep in.

Just turned 50 this year and I believe I might be having a midlife crisis lol. 50 hit me like a ton of bricks. I lost my well-paying job due to the pandemic, my best friend (a woman) got a boyfriend witch makes hanging out a bad idea now. But at least I decided to embrace my age and dress appropriately witch helped a lot with my confidence. Decided to get my teeth fixed, started taking care of my skin and decided on letting my hair grow to a much longer length (people liked it and got compliments that it made me look younger). Now just need my 400+ horsepower Benz or Cadillac and I'm all set! I think you should do more videos on this. Keep up the great content!

John, great topic ! I'm quite sure this will be a popular & impactful discussion. Remember gentleman the only person you need to impress in this lifetime is yourself ! Instead of looking inside yourself for what you're losing like hair, your sex appeal & most importantly TIME. Think about what you do have have & capitalize on it, like wisdom & knowledge. Too many men get desperate & try and cling on to their youth. Concentrate on staying youthful minded & do your best to be your best you !! Be the hardest worker in the room is my advice & stay confident, how do you do that ? By excelling in everything you do. Take it from a 55 year old who's reinvented himself several times !!

I am 52, got divorced at 40; felt like the world is ending, with no time left. Recovered in two years with lots of friendships and art and walking and sports and solo holidays. Corey Wayne is a must for better relations; ı read his book ‘3% men’. And spent 10 years of best life time. Now in a sound relationship, settled down and enjoying the journey with a positive attitute; happiness is in the process of overcoming yhe obstacles along the way as we go toward our life goals.

i am having one at the moment. I feel it is very important to do that because it charts the rest of your life and what you leave behind. for me i took a break from work to test drive my passive income streams and refine/trim/cut off expenses or dead weights. I am fortunate that i am 80% debt free and have only a few tweaks left. The covid situation tests the sustainability and resilience of my mental state and financial health. Having a break from all the zoom maddness allows me to focus on me at the moment. it wasnt easy but i decided not to take any crap from micro managements. i have given myself a max of 1 year.

What impact, if any would I like to make while I am here. If I do nothing of importance, has my life been a waste of time? Do I wish to be just an average individual who was born, lived and died or is there more? I think it's a fascinating topic and would like to hear others' take on it.

Yes, it is a great topic to cover. Most if not all of us have or are going through but, strangley, is rarely spoken of out loud. I saw your Q&A video and I was very interested in a particular question about your divorce. I've been divorced for 5 years now and I haven't been able to get over it someway or another.

Looked forward to retirement. You’re only as old as you feel they say. Felt good. Retired. Looked around. Problem was that friends, family members, the heroes and icons of my youth were gone. See: Allman Bros. “No One To Run With (Anymore)”.

Yes deeper. I went through a divorce 3 yrs ago. I am living off the grid (homeless) but don't worry I am gladping every day. I have a full time job. So I am good. I am 50 going to be 51 in December 2022 and I am questioning my life now. What is next a yacht or a condo. :-)

John it would be an interesting topic. However midlife crisis and relationships is a tricky subject. Good luck navigating that one.
