I do agree about Pennsylvania and her winning state gown, the plain black evening gown harks back to the early to mid 2000s, the era when less is more was the way to go!! Pennsylvania stood out so beautifully at her state pageant!! I’d love to see the return of simple gowns like the gown Miss Pennsylvania USA 2022 wore at her state pageant!!
Lifelong pageant junkie from WV, a state that nearly never places. Would love to know your thoughts on States that Struggle and why sometime. 💜 you Dani!
Miss Oklahoma is flying under the radar. She has a ton of pageant experience, a great interview, and a great walk. She's been training hard and looks incredible. She really shines on stage and I think she'll surprise a lot of people!
Such a well put together video and I respect your opinions. However, Miss Ohio USA has type 4 beautiful coils. Styling natural hair in pageantry is a lot more complicated. Her styling isn’t based off Elle’s type 3 curls. The hair that’s on her head is exactly that and unique to her. Her coils are her crown. The style is what’s called a pineapple, which many of us wear because it’s cute and classy at the same time. I’m sure styling her hair is based off of time, dedication, and what makes her comfortable. Many naturals in the pageant world will wear it that way and there will be more to come.
What I love is that miss Washington is slowly creeping up and it makes me so happy Every time she shares or posts. Her personality shines and yeah styling is a little off but her individuality does show through. It’s hard to choose who I want as my top 5 cuz there’s her and a few others that to me have it. The fierceness, fun, leadership, and individuality. I’m excited!
I like how your eyes light up when you discuss your choices, Dani. It tells me you are very excited and have put a lot of thought into your choices for Miss USA. I don't know about this year to be honest, Dani. I think it's going to be very competitive. You have many amazing girls. I wish they could all be Miss USA because all of them are incredible women for representing their state.
For now, Texas is my Miss USA. The USA needs to level up in choosing a rep for Miss Universe not just a spokesperson but the complete package for the Miss Universe competition. 2015 was the last USA rep that stands out on the Miss Universe stage.
I am SO so excited for Miss USA. Because MU is in January, it is finally time we see Crystle do her magic on our Miss USA before we send her to New Orleans. I just have a hunch that the crown might go to either Texas or New Jersey this year.
Elyse!!! I competed in miss kansas teen comp and her and I were tall besties. I'm 6ft I was the first to giver her a talk on stage after she won. She's the most beautiful soul and deserves the world
I wouldn’t sleep on Miss Indiana USA this year (teen or miss)! The teen is a first generation Burmese-American & the first to ever win a teen USA state title. She’s VERY well spoken & naturally beautiful, in a unique way. Miss IN USA has been working so hard in the pageant world, a former MAO girl who competed in USA for the past 7 years. She placed first runner-up the past 3 years. It was her time & she’s very transparent of how this journey has been for her. She’s been judging at state & national pageants, modeled for Ashley Lauren in Atlanta, and been very present in across IN.
Pacific NW would benefit from your continued growth, expertise, and knowledge within this evolving pageant system. You know what is going on, what will more than likely take place, and then deliver the direction to vie for the crown. Keep carrying on the good fight, growing within oneself, and may the best woman win. !!!!!
Shots fired shots fired you are absolutely right if they’re too stubborn to drink there’s nothing you can do but being a perfectionist it breaks my heart personally
South Dakota is so sweet. Met her years ago while my daughter, Mikayla, was running for Miss Minnesota and was getting her brows threaded. We see her at least once a year to catch up. Dani, will you be at Miss USA? Mikayla will be there and would love to see you again ❤
You make great points, Dani, and your keen observations makes me go…hmmm in my own review of the Miss USA AND Miss Universe candidates. You present observations that might not be as readily seen. I look forward to your videos on these subjects 👍🏽😁. I’m sooo looking forward to the Miss USA pageant on 10/3 and later the Miss Universe pageant now announced and scheduled for January in New Orleans. I’m hoping New Orleans will really BRING IT and show the world that the US knows how to host an international pageant 🤗🤭
You haven't mentioned her, but I was in high school marching band with Miss Wyoming! She is stunning, sweet, and relatable. I know nothing about pageantry, but would love to see what people think of her as a contestant!
USA will always slay swimsuit and interview. But sadly they always struggle in evening gown. Elle was a sure top 5. But once we saw the gown, we knew that was the end of the road for her. Bring back fierce gowns pls crystal!😊
You know Dani, as a South African 🇿🇦 I'm not really familiar with Miss USA, but last year I randomly spotted Elle, and low and behold, she won! Also, I love your content Dani, so here I am again! And who knows, perhaps I get it right the second time as well! The contestant that I think will take the crown: Kansas! Not only is she stunning, but any South African paegent fan will attach the most value to authenticity, relatability, and most importantly, SPEAKING ABILITY. Elyse looks Universe ready and a great sense of humour always helps! I also have my eye on Pensylvania, Texas, New Yersey and New York, and there is something about Maryland that just seems extremely striking. Perhaps it's the red hair which I find very alluring. Anyway, may the best girl win!
Dani... I had been an international level coach for 30 years...had winners at MAO MUO Globe Earth, etc.. now retired, I live my past life thru people like you. I usually throw my shoe at my computer at some of these other coaches and talking heads... but YOU my dear, are SPOT ON... In my opinion IMG era is the worst thing that ever happened to Miss USA.. we missed out several times for a Miss Universe.. not crowning girls like Hawaii and New Mexico, etc... so happy Crystal is bringing glamour, pretty, and fierce back to pageantry... BTW.. I think you are everything...if you had a different sash on at Miss USA you would have placed higher because you are stunning.
🙏🏼 Thank you so so much Kyle. This was such a kind comment. You're so accomplished!! I appreciate you stopping by to watch the channel. I hope you'll continue to enjoy it :)
That makes a lot of sense. One of the challenges of transitioning from MAO to other systems is styling. I think that's where most past MAO contestants have struggled. But Asya is a great example of switching up her style to produce a USA win.
Thank goodness you mentioned it, Dani. Miss Texas' make-up is the thing that holds her back. I've seen her with no make-up and she is beautiful. Her make-up doesn't do her beauty justice. There's really something wrong with her make-up, it's just too much. Hopefully, it's only a Texas thing.
Semi final placement is no surprise. If she's on her A-game she can advance past that into the top 8, 5, or however they break it up. But pulling off a historic USA win will be no easy feat.
As an FYI, Elle and Ohio have two completely different hair textures. So although the hairstyles my look similar, the hair type is what’s different. No biggie but thought I’d point that out.
That's exactly why I create these episodes. Other pageant fan pages are doing their best to provide coverage as well on Instagram. Just search the Miss USA hashtag.
I think Miss NC has the best chance for doing well at Miss Universe. As long as she can nail interview, she'll be amazing! And I agree with you....we are looking for a contender at Miss Universe. Maybe if we emphasize that and we can produce a winner in the coming years, we can get Miss USA back to that star status!!!!
The Miss USA pageant in the past five years picked winners, not on who can win Miss Universe at all. The winners get selected who can have fantastic Q&A. The judges forget about that at the finals. The winners have been good but not always the best to send to the Miss Universe pageant
But isn't that the game? Dani has actually mentioned it in previous videos Do well enough in each round to get to the next round and when you get to the end smash the Q and A. That's how most queens win a crown. Sure there are exceptions like Catriona Grey who was easily the top one or two in both swim and EG and then solidified her win during Q and A. But there have been many winners who did decently enough during swim and gown to make the top five/six and then actually captured the crown during Q and A. It may be different in other countries whose goal is to win MU rather than crown the best woman on the night of the national event, but I cannot think of a time when the Miss USA organization crowned a winner because they thought she had the best chance of winning MU. So although you don't agree, the best overall performance is the won that wins the Miss USA crown.
@@ML-xh6rd I'm afraid I have entirely to disagree. Miss USA 🇺🇸 organization judges crowning the women who have a great Q&A’s best responses. Suppose they go back to who can win Miss Universe like many countries dose. Miss USA will be a strong contender, then a top 10, 15, and complete 30. I watch many pageants worldwide and witness girls with the best Q&As who didn’t win their country's titles, like Miss Universe Puerto Rico 2022 winner. She was the best to give Puerto Rico a chance to win Miss Universe title but the 1st runner up had a better Q&A’s responses. If that 1st runner up was at the Miss USA pageant she would’ve won 🏆 hands down but not winning Miss universe pageant 2022
Hopefully the production/show is better than last year. I’m sure that Crystal Stewart has learned a lot from her first year producing the show. I’m rooting for team and the organization.
Sad that there's only 3 official sponsors for Miss USA when other countries have minimum 20 sponsors. Add to the fact that some winners from these other National pageants are awarded with house and lot, car, etc.
