My #1 goal is to always hit the ball at their feet. Over, and over, and over. They tend to reach and not bend, which leads to returning the ball too high where I smash it, right back at their feet. They tire from having to get low.
As a short player (5' 2") I welcome comments regarding playing from the kitchen in singles. I understand the advantages for average height players (and especially for tall players) but with such a short wingspan is the kitchen really where I want to be in SINGLES?
Love this breakdown! The more you understand your opponent's game, the better prepared you are to take them down.
if you're small, use your feet and learn to anticipate .. yakamoto sisters are both 5'3, but they are fast and could anticipate their opponents well 😊
