I have the same tires in my Sport S 23' gladiator. I noticed about a 5% noise and a 10% rougher ride than street tires. After just a week, I can't tell the difference. I haven't taken it out climbing, but I can crank the wheel for a full turn with no rubbing. It also looks like I sit higher naturally than his JT.
The Goodyears are LT (light truck) tires. Load E or D, can’t see in shadow. Falkens are P (passenger) tires. LT on a small rig will always ride harder. Stick with P285/70R17 if your look’n for comfort. Gonna beat it up on the trails. LT for sure or you’ll lose a sidewall, get a puncture, and there ya sit if you don’t have a matching spare. Thanks for heads up on matte grill and colored edges.
I have the exact same tires on my Gladiator too, love them. Just aggressive enough to look good but they aren't noisy on the highway and are great in wet weather.
I think the Jeep looks pretty darn good without a lift. I would venture a guess, that lifting it WOULD compromise the ride. Damn, I like those Wild Peaks!
@mblake0420 except duratrac are heavier, noisier and more expensive. Went from Duratracs on 2023 Ram to Wildpeaks on Gladiator and sticking with Wildpeaks
Having the Falken Wildpeak “snow rated” tires on my ‘24 JT Rubicon X makes me miss my BFG A/T’s. The BFG’s have been shown to stop in 1/2 the distance of the Falkens. We drive on packed snow/ ice 5-6 months. These Falkens are not rated for true Alaskan winters.
@@brb1050 I’ve since switched to BFG KO2’s myself. Besides being a great tire, they are also lighter in weight than the Falkens which helps reduce the load on my Wrangler tailgate.
That ride looks sweet. I don't understand why so many people think they need to lift there trucks just for show. If your going to do a lift, do it for the purpose it was intended for and not just to climb over parking lot curbs
So stock sports don't come with 33? Glad the Rubicon I got already had the exact Wildpeak 285/70r17. Going to keep stock rims but at 1 75" good spacers and a 1 6" level to the front for more aggressive look that your Fuel rims give. Stock is too tucked under
Aloha Rob. Jeep brought back the Gobi color for the 2022/ 2023 order of Wranglers and Gladiators. I do enjoy the Gobi color from your prior videos. The Gobi color is a very nice blend like iced coffee with coconut milk. I know you mentioned that the White Jeep JT is the best color for retention. Great video Rob.🙌👀🤜🦵🤛🤙👉🏼👈🏿🤟🤟🏽🤟🏾✌
thank you for this video, honestly. i have the sport in the same gobi color, and seeing this gives me more of an idea on what i'd like my jeep to look like, and how that can be accomplished. including that black grill cover.
I have the same truck. Gobi as well. I love the colour but I find it's a love it or hate it for a lot of people. I put the Black Rhino Arsenal wheels on mine that match the Gobi. I have a stubby front and winch as well and run the soft top all year (I live in the great white north). My 4th Jeep and just got fed up with hard tops. If it's sunny and warm, the roof is open!!! Love your videos btw.
I would suggest you always have a spare that's same rim and tire. When you rotate do a 5 tire rotation so tires wear even and last longer. Plus if ever blow a rear you have same tire size so your diff doesn't burn out
@@robmotiveplus I got the 8 speed auto like yours but I have roll up windows and no auto door locks. It's funny my daughter never saw roll up windows in a vehicle.
I have a 2018 TRD Pro taco and loved it but the sluggish, clunky drivetrain and rear drums are getting on my nerves. Looking at a 22 Gladiator mojave. Which do you prefer to drive out of the two?
I have a 2022 gladiator altitude. I love the wheels it comes with. It sits now with those dueler HTs 245/75 r17 I want to go with those fallens. The 285/70 r17 should work without mod yea? And no rubbing?
I have a 2020 sport and I want that wider rougher look but I’m completely ignorant to tire/wheel upgrades. I have a2-2.5” fox lift with stock wheels and I’m on budget so I’d like to not buy wheels if I don’t have to. Would your setup work on stock or would I need wider wheels?
Ar good morning I got jeep gladiator sport s I want to put bigger tire. What are you recommend? I was told 285-70 - 17 that I had to rear I want my Jeep just like yours normal. I don't want it lift it. What tires are you recommend? Please let me know and thank you sir. I love your show. I learn a lot from you
I totally agree, I have mine on 33’s no lift and I think it looks great. Still in the process of doing mods. I have my own TH-cam channel as well check it out
They're not the same size.. your gladiators are 285 (70r) 17's roughly 32.8" the toyotas are 285 (75r) 17's 33.9" I'm not sure why you use the 285 as the tire size, that only equates to width
Nice! Great to know info. I put Rubicon rim and tires on my 21 Gladiator Sport with the max tow package (wider axles) but am happy to know I can go bigger without a lift. Thanks!
Any update on this now? In just picked up my 23 gladiator sport with Max tow package but have read a little that when putting on tires we should really factor the max tow components as they are specific sizes and all. I don't want to lift mine only put on 33s max, for now of course. Thanks in advance.
What's good for one person isn't always what's good for someone else. But since you're already thinking about trading for the next new toy, then why bother doing anything if you're not going to keep it.
Everyone who puts 35’s or even 37’s on JT Rubicons report no compromise on ride quality. Taser to get correct mileage.

Not all Falkens are P cause my Stock 285/70r17 Wildpeaks are not P rated P rating also has less side lugs or aggressive look and less tread depth

Best awt out there IMO👍

The Wildpeaks are awesome! Perfect match I think👍
What I like about the Falken A/T Wildpeaks besides the great ride, they are a severe snow service-rated tire.
👌
So is the duratrac

Thank you for making sense of it all. I am looking at a used gladiator that has the same tires and no lift and it does look amazing.
That ride looks sweet. I don't understand why so many people think they need to lift there trucks just for show. If your going to do a lift, do it for the purpose it was intended for and not just to climb over parking lot curbs
If you go with a quality lift, you actually gain quality ride, you don't loose it. This jeep does need a lift. Otherwise great start.
Well ...there is also safety in his ride
Well I ended up getting the same sidesteps you got ,my truck looks amazing bigger tires would be nice now

U gave me all the info I needed . Thanks so much I didn't want to mess with the comfort of my jeep gladiator bc I just loves the way it drives
Glad to help👍
Haven’t lifted mine either and to me it looks good.
Quick question. None of my business. What do you do for a living? Not specific or anything
I love the look. No need to lift for my setup. I am a full time Content Creator for Google👍

32.7 is the height
What the name & the size tires I can put on my Gladiator, without a Lift !!!!
Gotta watch the video👍
Is the speedometer off with that size tire.
Yup,,,,gonna be off a bit with larger tires.

Where did you buy that replica rubicon steel bumper from?
There’s a video for that
Do the Falkens fit on the Jeep stock 17 rims ?
Yes.
What was the bumper you chose?
Any notice of the speedometer when you upgraded your wheels and tires?
It’s a couple MPH off.
What is the back spacing on those rims I like the amount of tire stick out

Hard to say. I’ve added quite a bit of weight to the truck🤔
How is gas mileage, I daily drive it so this is an important factor for me.
