I recently rediscovered ASICS and was blown away of so many choices (and do course colorways). I ended up getting some Cumulus’ and GT 2000’s. But at some point want to try their Nimbus and other lines. Your review was genuine and very helpful. Best part recommendation to size up .5. Hi Tori, cool video. I have older pairs of Nimbus and Cumulus, each with nearly 500 miles on them so they are asking to be retired. I just got a newer Cumulus but also want a lighter pair for faster workouts (no races, my area back in semi-lockdown for the next month at least =(. Any recommendations? Much appreciated!
Aw man I’m so sorry y’all are back in lockdown!!!! For lightweight there’s a few options… Novablast are lightweight and have maxed out cushion. They can be used for distance or speed workouts. The magic speed and hyper speed are great speed specific runs. Definitely not made for anything further than about 6 miles but great for speed/tempo runs. Between those two i tend to go for the magic speeds because they are slightly more cushioned!
What’s the difference between the cumulus22s and the 23s? I really like running in the Nimbus LITE 2s but I have burned through about four pairs already and I’m looking for another running shoe to log more miles (Will probably invest in the pricey Nimbus 24s) and alternate with a pair of cumulus for quicker or shorter runs.
Unfortunately the Lites don’t hold up under high mileage or really just at all if you’re consistently running. Nimbus are the best bet. They’re my favorite and last much longer! I think it’s a great idea to alternative with the cumulus if you can!

I have ran in the gel kayano! For my personal needs they did not work out. Kayanos are a stability shoes and have maxed out cushion and are on the heavier side of asics shoes. If you are needing a stability shoe though they are great! It all depends on your needs.. I stick to more neutral shoes like the novablast, cumulus, nimbus models.
It is not a neutral shoe. The GT 2000 is actually a stability shoe. But i run in all neutral shoes for the most part and when i ran in the GT’s they didn’t seem weird on my feet to me!

Nimbus has more cushion can cumulus! They hold up better for long distance too. You can get more miles on them in my opinion.

It’s Nimbus for me, Cumulus is a backup (not as comfortable).
