can't remember ever listening to a show in the 90,s when he got moved to the weekend slot, you were so used to his weekly shows and if your in your early twenties all you did was go out late on saturdays wonder now what his viewer ratings were in them days, more dance music getting played wasn't my thing either now catching up on a few of his shows glad someone recorded the 80,s shows as well
Its amazing, Peel didn't realize, that the once so exciting experiments of the Post-Punk-Years had degraded to boring Trance and Dance-Crab. After Nevermind he should have declared the R&R Era officially closed, revisiting the highlights of 40 years in his show.
That's how John Peel differed though - he continued to be excited by each new generation and wave, not getting stuck in an era and moaning about everything that came after it... thank God!
31 years later still a good show…Peel was a legendary guy…Thanks for the upload.
