- Metallica has had a huge surge of popularity among young people after their song “Master of Puppets” was on “Stranger Things.” So we thought it would be fun to take the band to The Bob Baker Marionette Theater, which is a popular children’s puppet spot, to give the guys a chance to master some puppets.

drama-stage-music-rock-heavy-innocence. The boys from the band looked nicely nervous- freaked out on 1st meeting the puppets. It was/is a very cool gesture Metallic. And thx (lucky) kids!

My favorite teacher and my favorite band!
I’m not even the oldest of Metallica fans (started in the mid ‘90s), but never in a million years would I have expected to see them doing something like this, haha.
I’m sure there are die-hard metal fans who hate it but I honestly think it’s charming as hell. Its nice to see them happy.
I think they just reached that level that so many bands can´t even afford were they can do whatever they want just for the fun of it.

They did it for a photo session in those days. But using vodka bottles on strings instead of puppets. There are photos on the internet. Google it. I remember seeing those pics in a magazine back in the day.

I hear some criticizing Metallica for doing this, but after 40 years, I think it's great that they have some fun. It was neat to see that side of them.
The people criticizing this are the actual lame ones. This was a good, light humored skit and you can tell the guys were legitimately having fun. If you’re a real fan, that’s all you should want for them.
