- Two months before the release of success record “O”, De Staat invited a small group of fans to the studio for an exclusive listening session. No big PA blasting, but instead the attendees got the same experience as the band did while recording their record: through a headphone they heard De Staat play their new songs. In between and after the session everyone could aks questions about what they saw en heard. A intimate session that, a year after, with the knowledge of the success, is still exciting to watch!

Twee maanden voor het uitkomen van succesalbum 'O' nodigde De Staat een klein groepje fans in de studio uit voor een exclusieve luistersessie. Er stond geen grote PA te blazen, in plaats daarvan kregen de aanwezigen precies dezelfde ervaring als de band al die maanden had gehad bij het uitwerken van nieuwe songs: via een koptelefoon hoorden ze De Staat hun nieuwe repertoire spelen, precies zoals het bedoeld was. Tussendoor en na afloop kon iedereen vragen stellen over alles wat ze zagen en hoorden. Een intieme sessie die, een jaar na dato, met de wetenschap van het succes, nog spannender is om terug te kijken!

this is my first time listening to this group or band, first song was kitty kitty loved it totally loved it!!!!
when did this band start up.? I sure have a whole lotta questions? This is when I hear a group I need more when I truly enjoyed listening to something new!
Boy I gotta learn more about this band and listen to every song they made on the vinyl or cd depending what year they came out of course.
My first band I fell in love with was King Crimson just to let you know where I'm coming from!

This six best songs on the album. but that says a lot. cos this is a nearly perfect album. but if this was released as an ep it would be the best ep ever released by any band ever.

Olivier Stortelder I believe Vedran uses the Whammy. I thing Torre has the Boss Harmonist. Same thing the guy from Modest Mouse uses.
