My eyes were opened the first time i saw one of Dr. Elaine Ingham's soil health talks. Sure, i knew soil critters were important, chemicals not preferred but the way she can clearly explain to regular people how the life cycle under the soil is in fact so much more important than you would realize, is just amazing! She is a born teacher. I even watched her soil health class 'common ground 2012' multiple times. Since then i have been on a daily quest for more videos, more, give me more! This is by far the most interesting thing in the world to me. I am just another home gardener but one that has been totally won over by the 'duh, of course' of soil health. Watching all of you guys closely! Even the farmers. Maybe especially because the environment so heavilly depends on them and with that, all of our food security and biodiversity. Please, farmers on the fence, be my next hero! Thank you so much. Make sure you watch David Brandt's story. Very touching and real. He had it tough when he started, now he's a thriving farmer, loving his job.

Unionization, co-ops, local barter systems, honor-system curbside sales, and treating employees as good or better than you treat your livestock (so they can afford a place to live, food, and be happy, but if they don't fit the farm, or its their time, then only 1 bad day - fired). Most corporations treat their employees worse than caged chickens that never see sunlight or feedlot cows that can't eat the food without tons of antibiotics, or homeless dairy bull calves that just get slaughtered as waste. Unions are the community of the workplace. Employers that embrace their employee union often get the best of the best employees.

I was at this conference, very enjoyable experience. I've met Mr. Archuleta twice and he's always a very kind and helpful guy. Class act.
